I dreamed of this moment in my life since I was a little girl, and this moment has exceeded anything that baby Sim could have ever even imagined. Sim and Kayvon, tonight we celebrate you. The first day of your forever and happiness. Your love as high school sweethearts was pure and innocent. I can't believe I just saw you tie the knot, make it official, as husband and wife at last. We are so excited to welcome our son-in-law Kayvon to our family. He is definitely the best thing that could happen to our daughter. Thank you so much and let's party tonight. Let's go! I'm not gonna lie, writing this speech was really difficult and probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. I can't even begin to explain how lost I would be if Simrith wasn't a part of my life. Simrith has shaped who I am today in so many ways, from stealing your clothes to literally doing an internship at Good Sam. I've always tried to be even the smallest reflection of who you are. We operate so differently, but somehow every part of me that's missing, I've learned, copied, from you. Throughout the years, you've taught me how to be such an amazing sister, daughter, cousin, and girlfriend. I've tried to be you since the day I remember. The reason I dream so big is because you've showed me how to conquer the world. It's funny because growing up, my dad would always tell me that my expectations in a man were unrealistic and too high. And then I saw you two and I saw your guys' relationship and I see how perfectly you complement Sim and how much you care for her and how every little thing you do is for her better. I see how much you care for her just like my dad does and I see my dad in you in so many ways. I love you two so much I can't even begin to explain. Standing up here on this day with all of you, I couldn't be happier and I couldn't be She's such a wonderful girl and her presence glues energy to our house and such a good feeling. When I say, K1, where are you going? Oh, I'm gonna see Sim. And I'm like kind of sad that Sim is not coming over, you know? And I keep saying, yeah, say hi to her, kiss her, and bring her over, please. When you were friends with Sim, you could spend a day doing what some people would consider nothing special and you will still walk away laughing and smiling and feeling like you just had the best day of your life. To be loved by Sim feels like home. I forever count my lucky stars that I met her, her wonderful family, and Kvon. Before I met Kvon, I was notorious in my friend group for hating every single boyfriend I met. He set the bar for how I expected my friends and myself to be loved. Kvon never forgets the little things, like getting Sim flowers and always, always telling her how beautiful she is. And I truly think the little things, the consistent acts of love, are what make a relationship and a marriage thrive. One evening, I get a call. Hey, Mamu, can you just quickly come to my house? I was really scared. I didn't ask her the next question. I started driving like 90 miles an hour. I get to the house. I open the door. She's like, come upstairs. What happened? I go in the bathroom. There's a small spider. So the moral of the story that this Mamu will always be there to kill your spiders. Always. Kvon, we've met a few times, gone on lunch and dinners, and I just can't begin to tell you what a gentleman you are. We can be more blessed than to have you in our family. Oh my gosh, look at you. You're beautiful. Oh my gosh. Look at you. You're beautiful. It was 11 years ago in high school when my eyes first caught a glimpse of you. And so our destiny began. When I was first getting to know you, I couldn't believe such a pure, humble, and intelligent person existed. You introduced me to a whole new world of love and complete happiness. I'm the person I am today because of your love, your support, your encouragement, and your dedication to making this the best relationship I could have ever dreamed of. And now we stand here today in front of all our friends, in front of all our family, to make promises that will last forever. Kvon, you have been the clearest sign to me that destiny exists. I know many people say that their soulmate completes them, but I won't say that you complete me because you have shown me every single day that I'm whole. And there is not a day that goes by where you've not made me feel like the best version of myself. Simrith, you're all I need in this life. You are my person, my inspiration, my love, and my everything. You've been an amazing boyfriend for ten years, an amazing fiancé for one year, and I can't wait to see you become the most amazing husband and father in the future. Sim, I promise to give you my all and be there for you at every moment. I promise to fill our home and life with happiness and light because that's what you bring into my life every day.
