The Perfect Day on Oahu's North Shore - Pipeline Surf, Beach Lunch, Waimea Bay and Sea Turtles

Welcome back to Hawaii and today we are very excited because the Pipeline Masters is on and it's not too far from where we are. So we're going to pack a lunch and we're going to try our luck to get a park down there and watch what's happening. I have a very very happy husband who's always wanted to go so he won't want to leave so I need to make sure that we've got lots and lots of water and lots and lots of food. The supplies that we've got we're just going to make some chicken sandwiches. My boy Riley loves Vegemite so we've got our Vegemite and some sandwiches and then also in our slow road snack boxes we can make a little platter as well. So let's get started. I hope you're looking back. Postcard memories only paint a picture. How you are in one place at a time. I need you now more than ever. I'm waiting for you to come back. We're just pulling up at Pipeline. We're trying to pull up. It's absolutely packed out here. This is the quarterfinals today and then tomorrow's the finals. It's Friday today and we thought we'd be able to get out here and and see it a bit earlier and also before all the crowds but you know, you know what it's like your kids in the morning. But we're just going to get a park and then head down there. I'm bloody excited. I've been wanting to come here since I was a kid so I'm bloody excited. Just jagged like a very close, that's the pedestrian crossing right there like 10 cars down. We got a goodie. I did say to Lockie, talk to the universe. The universe will help. Just scored the best little spot. Today is our lucky day. Literally just walked down and found this like cool little lagoon. Good spot for the kids so now they can watch the surf and the kids and they can play all safely all at the same time. That's winning. Mum and dad winning anyway. That was awesome. Pipeline was epic. But now we're gonna, we drove past this little shack on the way so I think we're gonna feel like something a bit cold so we're gonna go stop in and see if we can get an acai bowl and then I reckon we're gonna head to Waimea. Maybe watch uh sunset there, go for a bit of a dive. Enjoy the afternoon. So sick. We've made it to Waimea and it is a stunning day here today. There's not too many people down this far side and Alba is out there waiting for us to get in with her and push her along the board. The water here is just like, out of all of the beaches it's probably my favourite because it's like very clear and it drops off right here so it's nice and deep. It's just beautiful. Where was it? I don't think I've been on a school bus. Was it on? I hope so. Probably not. No way mummy. We followed like a bigger fish for a while. He actually from afar, Ron was right. He turned around he's like mum baby shark. I thought he was actually teasing me. What's wrong? What's wrong? We're going to check out this beautiful beach called Lanakai and it is famous for their turtles. Sea turtles come up to the shore and they feed off all the algae on the rocks and it is the perfect time to go and see them up close so let's go check them out. What a day. Well we've been to Pipe Masters, checked out some beaches, we've now seen a turtle, had some good food. I feel absolutely so grateful to be here. Thanks for tuning in, see you in the next one hey.
