Hello everyone and welcome to a new game. This game was played between the world champion Magnus Carlsen
and of course the well-known celebrity Bill Gates. This game was played in 2014.
Magnus Carlsen has 30 seconds on the clock and Bill Gates has two minutes on the clock. Bill
Gates is playing with white pieces and Magnus Carlsen is playing with black pieces. Bill Gates
starts the game with 1.e4 and Nc6, the Nimzo defense. Nf3 and d5. Of course Magnus will take
the spawn so you are protected. You can play d3, you can play Nc3 but Bill Gates decides to play
Bd3, of course protecting while developing pieces. Nf6 and exd5, Qxd5 and Nc6.
Bill Gates knows what he's doing. He develops pieces with tempo. Of course if it was a normal
game, Magnus would retreat either to Qd8 or Qd7 but he plays Qh5 and Bill Gates castles and Bg4.
Of course Bill Gates should be careful because there are a lot of pieces in front of the white
king. In this position, he should play Be2 and overprotect this knight and make a room to push
the pawn and bring this bishop into action. Give more protection to the h1 and to the h2 pawn.
But Bill Gates decides to challenge Magnus' bishop h3. Of course if it was a normal game,
Magnus would take the knight, Qxd5 and Qxd6 and he would ruin his kingside pawn structure
and in the end, he will win the entire game. But it will take more time and like I said to you,
he has 30 seconds on the clock and in this position, Magnus has only 22 seconds. So he
plays Ne5. He leaves the bishop and Bill Gates takes the bishop and it's actually the strongest
move recommended by the engine. Knight takes pawn. Of course in this position, Bill Gates is
winning. He can play Re1 attacking this knight. He can play Bb5 and he will have a nice position.
And if you look at this position, the h2 square is only protected by this knight. So if this knight
moves, it will be checkmate. So Bill Gates here plays the only move that makes him lose the game.
He plays knight takes on e5 and now Magnus Carlsen plays Qh2 checkmate. So if you look at the game,
Bill Gates actually played a fine game. He was playing against the world champion. It was 2014.
Magnus has won the world championship twice. If you like the game, don't forget to subscribe.
Thank you for watching and I will see you soon.
