The Pleasures of Chinese Calligraphy

Robert E. Harrist, Jr., the Jane and Leopold Swergold Professor of Chinese Art at Columbia University, introduces the pleasures of Chinese calligraphy through an exploration of works on view in the exhibition Out of Character: Decoding Chinese Calligraphy—Selections from the Collection of Akiko Yamazaki and Jerry Yang.
