Why Some Rapiers are "Too" Flexible... (Are They?)

ome sword blades on the reproduction market seem sort of "floppy" in tests against resistant targets (be it armor or even just ballistic gel). Particularly rapiers with narrow blades. But how fair and reasonable is it really to criticize their flexibility?
