It’s clear that SpaceX has been making determined progress to bring Starship back online after the Massey incident. With each new development, the momentum builds, bringing us closer to the highly anticipated Flight 10.
Earlier, the FCC suggested that the next launch could take place on August 4. While such filings are often overlooked, they have recently proven surprisingly accurate. For previous flights, the FCC’s estimates closely aligned with the actual launch windows, offering credible indicators of SpaceX’s internal timeline.
Now, that tentative date has gained further weight. Elon Musk has stepped in with an exciting confirmation of his own. Posting on X on July 14, he wrote: “Launching again in ~3 weeks.” Based on that, the launch could take place in the first week of August, likely within days of the FCC’s initial prediction.
If that schedule holds, Flight 10 would mark a gap of just over two months since Flight 9. While this isn’t the shortest turnaround on record, it is still a strong pace—especially considering the complications caused by the Ship 36 incident. Had that setback not occurred, SpaceX might have shattered its previous turnaround record. Still, the current pace is commendable, showing SpaceX’s drive to get the program moving forward again.
