I have to say that I'm liking Prince William more and more and more, for this simple reason. And when I tell you it, you're going to love it too. As ever, let me explain. Morning, good to see you chums. Thank you so much for joining me today. By the way, can I just say I thought Catherine did a terrific job representing us on the world stage at that wonderful Wimbledon fortnight. I mean, I don't know about you, but you know, Wimbledon is a marvellous event. It's very exclusive and I've said very expensive also, but you can get cheaper tickets if you know what to do, like every event, you know. But what a terrific two weeks they must have had. Beautiful weather, showcasing just exactly all the best things about Britain. And to have the icing on the cake, none other than Catherine, the Princess of Wales, presenting the trophies. And I just thought a lot of them just looked so starstruck, didn't they, in the royal box, you know. I thought Matthew McCartney was lovely in the fact that he knew his manners, a good southern boy him, he got up when Catherine and William came to applaud. What a nice gesture. So thank you, sir, for having the manners to do that. It was very nice to see. Now, of course, there's a bigger story brewing behind that particular event, because it was known behind the scenes as Wimbledon Woes for Prince William and Catherine. Let me explain. Hi, nice to see you. You all right? I'm not so bad, thank you. A little bit warm in this corner now, but always nice to have your company. There's a lot of bugs, by the way, flying around on the camera. I know you can't see these things, but you do know. And by the way, can I just say thank you for your lovely comments regarding the hawk at Euston. Another bore person said, oh, you know, we don't know about that. Yes, we do. You know, it's a conversation we're having. We're a friendship group. If you want something else, disappear, pay for a membership, you know, sling your oak. We don't need you here. I like the friends that I'm making here on this channel. It's for you, about you. And, you know, I know what people say. It's just always one or two sourpusses, aren't they? You kind of wonder how they get through life, don't they? You've got to have a bit of a laugh. It's a little bit like I felt sorry for His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales, Prince William, Wimbledon. I can tell you that behind the scenes, things were a little bit sort of cloudy, particularly for Wimbledon and William, because obviously Catherine focused presenting that was her, you know, she's a patron, etc. But as I told you recently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just love to make William suffer. You know, particularly Meghan, you know, a very, very cold person. I'm putting this nicely, right? And what's interesting about this is obviously, as you know, all of that stuff they leaked out well in advance. But what's also very disappointing in many respects about that element is the fact that I can tell you that basically, yes, there is an element where Harry and Meghan would like some sort of public reconciliation, only to try and get her stupid brand off the ground. You know, there's no, everything's about what she wants. But here's where it's interesting, because have you noticed they only want to make up with his side of the family, the mega rich side, the useful side. Whereas Meghan's making up with her father, Thomas Markle, or indeed her half-sister. No, they're no use to her. She is that ruthless. And what I like, according to an excellent source, literally, is that William understands this. As he pointed out from this source, well, if she's so keen to now make amends with family members, how about a public making up between her and her own father, perhaps before we go down this particular avenue? Right, sir? I love you for that because you have got this woman spot on, right? She only wants to make up with His Majesty the King because it suits her. And more importantly, let me point this out, it's not as simplistic as people are saying, oh, you know, first chance of reconciliation. No, no, no. Meghan and Harry wanted public reconciliation with a formal photograph and perhaps even at best, an interview to say, you know, lots of silly things were said, but now we're all moving on, we're adults and, you know. And that is exactly what Meghan is looking for. Brilliant to note, of course. And brilliant to note also that Prince William is having none of this. So while William and Catherine and, of course, the two children had a wonderful day out at Wimbledon, I can tell you behind the scenes, secretly, he was fuming. But if ever the professional, ever, of course, the great ambassador, you would never have known.
