Today marks the 21st day of June. It is a special day, a significant day,
at least for this one young woman. This is Lexe. She likes to celebrate the seasons and their changes
and today is special because it is the summer solstice. We have a lot to do today.
A special occasion demands for the right outfit. Do you have something particular in mind?
It should be something fun, something sunny, maybe something like this.
It seems like she has found just the perfect outfit for the day. What is she looking for?
Oh, it's chamomile. Seems like she went out to harvest some flowers.
What are you collecting chamomile for? Chamomile is said to have a lot of beneficial properties.
Like calming, luck and happiness. And since today is the summer solstice, their energy is
extra high. It smells so good. They smell amazing. And with her hands full with chamomile,
she returns home for now. What do you have there? This? This is chamomile. I want to make chamomile
cookies. But haven't you just foraged fresh chamomile? Yeah, but the recipe that I'm using
asks for dried chamomile. So I have to use this one that I have collected and dried last year.
I see. Do you mind sharing the recipe with us? Of course.
You'll find those who've come before me know how hard it is to let it go. It's a part of me,
know to have it now as we share the moment the time has come for me.
All my life I've worked and toil. I have breathed the land and sown the soil.
I'll admit that everything I've done ain't right. I give it all to you tonight.
Hold out your hand, I'll give you all I can. When the sun comes up and lights the morning,
you'll find out what it means to have it all.
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. Those who've come before me know how hard it is to let it go.
It's a part of me, it's all I've got. I'm worn, I'm lost, I've loved, I've fought.
Hold out your hand, I'll give you all I can. When the sun comes up and lights the morning,
They look delicious. Can I have one?
No, not yet. We still have a lot to do.
Now look who's back in her grandmother's garden.
What is it you're looking for now? I'm here to harvest red currants.
Oh, these small vibrant red berries. Their tangy flavor reminds me of good old childhood summer
days. It's remarkable how such a tiny berry can hold so many memories.
Remember the turns and trails along the way. As we move, there's a feeling, there's a freedom
from the start. It's true, the places that we find close to our hearts. I will stay away
where the lavender floats like a song in the air.
So why exactly are you collecting those berries?
Harvested on midsummer, they're considered an offering to the sun.
So that's why you're collecting them today. Is that the only reason?
They actually have a lot of associations. Such as?
Creativity, love, courage, protection.
And their tangy flavor makes them a great treat.
Have you tried one?
So how do they taste?
Tangy. They're still a little bit tangy.
Back to the kitchen we go.
Washing berries is tedious and time-consuming work. Let's speed it up a bit, shall we?
You already prepared your dough?
Yes, I let it rest while I was outside picking berries.
I hope you washed your hands beforehand.
Obviously, what do you take me for?
Your dough seems very sticky. Maybe you should add some more flour.
See? I can be helpful sometimes.
Yes, yes, of course. You're really helpful.
Do you have a recipe for this as well?
Ah, yes, of course.
How many are you making?
I'm making eight pastries, just like the recipe says.
What is this you're adding here?
Oh, it's lemon thyme from my garden. It just adds a little bit of a lemony and
herby flavor, which pairs really well with the sourness of the red currants.
I could add streusel to anything. In my opinion,
anything with streusel tastes ultimately better.
I agree.
Now I see. All these preparations were for a sunset picnic.
You're doing a tarot reading as well. Are you trying to look into my future?
No, not really. I'm just trying to see what the summer has in store for me.
The three of swords? Oh dear. And the seven of swords? Those cards don't look too good.
I know, but they don't have to be bad. It depends on how you interpret them.
Like, look, see the main trajectory isn't that bad. It seems like I might be able to
manifest my goals just fair and square through my will. Just because I want it. Because I have
strong willpower. I'll have a community and I might master a new skill. Or master the skill
that I want to master. And through that I will gain a new community. These are the possibilities.
These here are just the warnings. The seven of cups isn't a bad card. There are seven different
cups so there's many choices and possibilities. So I have to be careful what I choose as some of
these possibilities may lead to betrayal or to heartbreak. Doesn't have to be bad necessarily.
So now it's time for the pastry. I already wondered where you've been hiding that.
So is this red currant pastry an offering to the sun or to your stomach?
Both. I mean the sun can't eat so I have to eat it for her. And I have to replenish my energy
for the manifestation ritual anyway. Admit it, you are just hungry. And it's really tasty.
Of course, you and your sweet tooth. Are we starting with the ritual now? I think she's
writing down all her wishes that she wants to manifest. That's quite a lot, don't you think?
Yes, but I do have a lot of goals that I want to achieve. So the more the better.
Has the ritual started yet? I need to concentrate. Oh sorry, I get it. You don't want to be distracted.
Concentration is really important for such a ritual. So I understand why you...
Can you be quiet just for a second? Oh, of course. Sorry.
