Resume Strategy for a Successful Interview Process When applying for a job at Nestlé USA, your resume is one of your biggest advocates. It’s the first step in the interview process where the recruiter assesses your employment history, education, certifications, and transferable skills that would indicate success in your working environment. The next step is a phone screen, where the recruiter assesses the skills outlined in your resume and your soft skills. A major part of Nestlé USA’s DNA is diversity, equity, and inclusion. Their D.E. & I. action plan highlights four key buckets, in which every team member plays a role. These include driving accountability and leadership, enhancing learning and development, engaging in future talent, and acting in their communities.
Your resume is really one of your biggest advocates for candidacy.
This is really the first step in the interview process where the recruiter is
looking at your employment history, education, certifications, and assessing
your background. My name is Shardé Elliott and I am a
Senior Talent Advisor here at Nestle. In this video, we will be covering
helpful tips if you are considering an opportunity within our supply chain
or technical and production teams. From a soft skills perspective, we are
looking for team members that will model our ways of winning.
One being courage, speak up, take action, and drive forward.
Two, collaboration, so breaking down barriers and working as one collaborative
team. Three being speed, so busting through
roadblocks and moving fast. And four is agility, disrupt
yourself before you get disrupted. These four characteristics really define
our true north and will allow us to continue to win with our consumers.
From a technical perspective, in our supply chain and manufacturing
facilities, there are multiple opportunities ranging from production
supervisors and managers, quality, procurement, maintenance,
engineering, continuous improvement, or manufacturing
excellence teams, just to name a few. So from a technical
standpoint, it really depends on the role and your career aspirations.
