It took me a long time to release the resentment I carried toward an illness I never asked for. I never wanted to experience any kind of disorder. For years, I felt like I could never be normal—never eat normally, feel normally, or even look normal in my own eyes. I’m still on that journey, but the progress I’ve made is extraordinary. At my lowest, I truly believed nothing would ever change. But things can change—and they do. ❤️

I used to wish I could erase those years spent in the grips of something invisible. But now, I’ve reclaimed those memories. By sharing my story and mentoring young people facing similar struggles, I’ve given those years meaning and purpose. That process has allowed me to forgive my illness—and use that experience to keep building a life rooted in peace, love, and deep appreciation for the beauty of each and every day.

I believe with all my heart that your body is the least interesting thing about who you are. Yet in today’s world, where images are often filtered and edited beyond recognition, both men and women face distorted expectations about beauty. We are being sold a message: that our bodies are only worthy of being seen—and loved—if they look a certain way.

This narrative is dangerous. It implies we are more worthy if we are attractive, and more deserving of love and happiness if we conform to unrealistic standards. That idea is not only false—it’s heartbreaking. I worry deeply for the teens growing up believing it.

Our worth must never depend on appearance. It must come from within—from the belief in our own, individual beauty. A sacred recognition of our absolute and unique majesty. True beauty cannot be taken away.
