Lately, MLS one-man wrecking crew. He's center stage tonight as New England plays host to Inter-Miami. With Danny Higginbotham. To the starting 11. The Rebs are 11th. He faces his former club for the first time tonight. That's Inter-Miami. Came out of the FIFA Club World Cup with guns blazing. This is a matchup in Foxboro. The true 65 pound Lionel Messi comes off a player of the matchday performance for the third time this season. And Inter-Miami and we're underway tonight. How much does Machidano rock? With the free kick. Messi's service. Top of the box. Welcome to the big show, Baltasar Rodriguez. And what a strike it was. Suarez isn't happy because he made a good run to the left, but I think he's in a good position here. Very, very easily. You've got a 4-4-2 now at times. He's compact. Released by Messi. Sends Rodriguez on his way. Has to get himself back in position when it eventually goes towards him. From Matt Polster, midfielder whose contract was extended by this revolution team back in May through 2027. Here's. And in the eighth minute. That was against Montreal. His service. And it's Federico Redondo. One of the changes to the 11 for Machidano tonight. Only two changes to his side from that victory over Montreal. The first corner of the night will play this short. Rodriguez plays. Just took a touch of Campana on the way through. Messi, four busquets. Taddeo Allende. So to speak, if you include heel, that New England front three. One of them needs to stretch the game a little. Falcone. Gathered here. Weygandt. This exclusive net camera. Messi midfield. Lionel Messi. This is how you react to a mistake. I'm not sure everybody can react the same manner in which Lionel Messi. A giveaway in his own zone resulting in. He's just, like I say, so difficult. What can you say to him? Looking to maneuver that pass. Polster and now busquets for Messi a second time. He'll lay this off. Jordi Alba. Messi. Alba. Messi. With Ceballos tracking back. Messi. Direct route on the corner. This time it's Messi again. Waiting on this. Jordi Alba. He'll give it a go. Messi middle of the park. Yousef back on. New England back to its full complement of players now. Ball as well. He's prepared to press at the right times. Now Messi is into Miami. Allende. He's a play back. Off the head. 1-0 lead. And it's a play. Tanner Beeson will want back. Now, you're always told of this MLS season. His 19th this year in all competitions. The ball. And it goes through to Messi. But as a defender in those situations, he gets concerned at the last second. He's worried. I might get kicked in the head. You know, when I'm going to head. 2020 draft pick out of Stanford in a 1-0 game. Here's Messi. Far side. Alba. Messi. Play that through for Swart. Going now. Going forward. You see it falls to Messi. Good strike. I think the difficult thing is for New England is that the game plan goes out of the window. Messi. For Redondo. Now Suarez for Messi. Comes into the match. In this first half. Busquets plays ahead. Messi on the run. Lionel Messi make it stoppable. And for the fourth MLS game, Lionel Messi has a brace. Get frustrated. Suarez won the interception. Messi plays it ahead perfectly. Here. After this, a game with all sorts. The corner that's cleared out by the Herons. It's a foul here against Center Back. Of the MLS season. The moment. I've got a tattoo of you. There you go. Lionel Messi on display there as well. The World Cup trophy. I'll tell you this. Maxi Arruti has something that Lionel Messi does not. The season is 14. Carlos. Distance between into Miami and New England. That's how big he sees this game. Quality touch by. Messi gets it back from Busquets. Able to find Rodriguez. In by the Herons again. Messi plays quickly. That time. Middle of the park. Fine touch by Messi. Played ahead by Redondo. Both Miami goals tonight. Here out of Mascherano. At least what he's wanted from this team for a long time. Rodriguez. Taken here by Redondo. And now. Cuegat. The most important thing for Inter Miami is to defend well. Really has a situation where confidence was built in. And so too is Caleb Porter. Might be a substitution coming from each side in a matter of moments. Messi. Brought down by Messi with Polster on his back. Lionel Messi trying to play that. It's out for a New England throw. We've seen what they're starting to do. Now in this 4-2-3. It's too strong. Lionel Messi played on one of the great club teams of all time. Barcelona. PSG. On a few occasions in their own half. Here comes Messi. Time on the ball. Wants Messi looking for a hat trick. For me, I think this PSG team could. We showed you earlier. Maybe something you had to keep to yourself at the time. Honestly? Yeah. This year. For the revolution. Coming in a moment for Inter Miami. Not before Heal has his save. Fires. The ice breaks. 80th minute. Carlos Heal with a bullet. Strap yourself in for 10 minutes and stop. It's time. It's a 2-1 game in Foxborough. Namasky wants Messi. Lionel Messi. Both Miami. The Miami lead in half. Suarez from Messi. His chance. Stop. Messi again. Able to work Goliath. Lost possession of the ball. Messi is on it. Now Messi. They play it short. Segovia. At the back of the net. He's done this time and time again. It's Busquets to Messi. He's taking advantage. Ahead for Kramosky. He was met by Peyton Miller. Referee now. It's one of the frustrations that you see a lot of the time.
