Good morning everyone, I'm Ilaria Viña from Lionel Luxury Real Estate and today I'm pleased to share with you a very important update that we've been all waiting for.
For those following us for a while might already have an idea of what is this about. I give you two words, Palazzo Serristori.
And as we walk through the most iconic landmarks of the city, we can easily recognize the silhouette of Palazzo Serristori, rising proudly on the left side of the Arno River.
As a star of a revolutionary project, this 16th-century palace has undergone a majestic restoration over its 5,500 square meters of interior space.
The result turned into 12 ultra-luxury residences that we're going to see later.
All this beauty just below Piazzale Michelangelo, the most iconic scenic point of view of the entire city, and a few minutes' walk from Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Gallery.
What truly makes Palazzo Serristori unique, it's not only its architectural beauty, but it's the history it holds, the life that its walls have seen over the centuries.
Besides the three aristocratic families that used to live in, also intellectuals, artists, kings and popes have crossed its entrance.
Built in the early 15th century by Bishop Lorenzo Serristori, the palace stands along the banks of Arno River as a symbol of the family's political and social rise.
According to the historical sources, the project was entrusted to renowned Renaissance architects such as Benedetto Damaiano and Sangallo Brothers, who had already designed the famous Palazzo Strozzi.
In the middle of the 16th century, the building was expanded, creating Florence's largest Italian-style garden on the left side of Arno River, a peaceful and harmonious corner in the heart of the city.
Palazzo Serristori is now entering in a new era, completely restored, preserving their historical prestige, integrating with supermodern and comfort living solutions.
Adding magic to this palace, we have a 3,000 square meters of park, including a huge private swimming pool. How amazing!
Today the palace opens its door to Lionheart to present what we can consider definitely the most exclusive living solution in entire Florence.
We are now in the lobby of this real gem, right in the center of Florence, Palazzo Serristori.
The majestic restoration has been completed, and the only things still going on are some final touches and personalization requested by the future owners.
Now, two centuries later, no longer aristocratic families, but 12 high-level residences designed for those looking for elegant and exclusive living experience, tied with beauty and history.
We're going to meet now Ludovico, one of Lionheart's real estate advisors. Come with me.
Hello, Ludovico. Nice to meet you.
Hello, Ilaria. Welcome. What a nice day.
Wow, amazing.
So, let's have a walk in the beautiful park of the palace.
Certainly.
Let's go.
So, here we are in the beautiful private garden of the Palazzo, that's a shared area for the future owners of the apartments.
As you can see, there's a beautiful 13-meter long swimming pool that is the only swimming pool that was built in the UNESCO city center of Florence.
The pool seems to be embraced by these two beautiful fountains, as you might see, that were built with a special technique that was inspired by the one used for the grotto at the Giardino di Boboli at the Palazzo Pitti.
Have a look.
And the comforts do not end here.
Actually, in the basement, there are a wellness area and a fitness area for the owners to enjoy and have these features in their own homes.
Wow, this place is such a treasure.
Ludovico, I really want to thank you for being with us today.
You're welcome.
See you soon.
See you soon. Bye.
And now, let me introduce you Alexander, one of Lionheart's real estate advisors.
Welcome, Alexander.
Ciao, Ilaria.
I guess you've been here several times with your clients, right?
So, tell us more about this amazing gem.
Sure, Ilaria.
As I always tell to my clients, we are at the ground floor of this palace.
A true calling card, a promise of beauty and exclusivity.
As you mentioned, the architectural signature on the building comes from the most extraordinary minds of the time, such as Antonio and Giuliano da Sangallo,
alongside with Benedetto d'Ammaiano, the favorite artists of Lorenzo the Magnificent.
Beautiful minds that conceived these spaces combining both beauty and functionality.
Moreover, the role of the owners of the palace, the Seristori family, helped enrich this building with unique attributes.
As allies of the Medici, the Seristori held the highest civil and political offices.
They were priors in Florence, as well as being very close with Pope Leo X, as evidenced by the stone effigies still visible today.
Look at these glazed terracotta works by Della Robbia.
Pieces of inestimable value.
Did you know some of these pieces have been sold for auction for millions of euros?
The most important one is this one, that celebrates the marriage between Beatrice Seristori and Jacopo Pazzi,
which became infamous for the Pazzi conspiracy against Lorenzo the Magnificent.
A plot that didn't end well, let me tell you that.
In 1478.
Let's go upstairs, to see one of the most beautiful parts of this palace.
Alexander, let me first show you this majestic statue.
It represents Sir Ristoro, the founder of the entire Seristori dynasty.
He is the one who introduces us to the palace,
then leads us up this monumental staircase to the most important level, the noble floor.
It's truly incredible.
Now, let's go up to see the ballroom of the palace.
Alex, have you ever seen the ballroom renovated?
Never did.
Are you ready?
Let's do it.
We are now in the ballroom, which will serve as a common space for residents for hosting guests,
and organizing meetings and gatherings.
With its 10 meters high, this hall is simply majestic.
I'm walking now on an 18 centuries old wooden floor,
that has been removed, restored, and perfectly replaced during restoration.
The same care that's been taken for this amazing Murano chandelier,
also dated in the 18th century,
and still perfectly intact and functioning.
Among the first pieces ever produced with colored glasses.
Frescoes and decorations have been created for the wedding of Luigi Seristori and Camilla Riccardi in 1673,
and painted by Cosimo Olivelli, Agnolo Gori, and Paolo Lippi.
These important 17th century artists also frescoed the ground floor of Palazzo Pitti,
and the ceiling of the Uffizi.
Also, look up.
Do you see all these coats of arms?
They belonged to the most prestigious families of the time,
who used to attend parties here.
Let's move from one model to another.
Adjacent to the ballroom,
we find this extraordinary apartment with a French flair.
This is the so-called mirror hall,
and it features stucco frames and hand-painted mirrors.
The theme of the room is bucolic,
and the decorations are very dynamic,
almost as if they were about to come to life.
Moreover, the trees and views of the garden reflect on the mirrors,
creating some sort of personal garden inside.
And we're walking now into another extraordinary room,
with its rich golden details.
Frescoed and decorated ceilings,
full of allegorical symbols,
as beauty symbol and justice symbol.
Besides this amazing marble floor,
I want to show you one of three fireplaces
all on the same floor,
still preserving Serristori's family coat of arms.
And now, last but not least,
let me show you the breathtaking view
we can enjoy from this extraordinary room
over National Library, Duomo and Arno River.
We are approaching now
the apartment where Giuseppe Bonaparte,
Napoleon's brother,
and his wife, Giulia, lived,
as you can read, as we can read,
on the two flags on top of these majestic doors.
In queste stanze,
visse alcun tempo Giuseppe Bonaparte,
rei di Spagna, e vi morì l'anno 1844.
Giulia Bonaparte, regina di Spagna,
qui fece dimora dal 1832 al 1845,
anno della sua morte.
Different room, incredible atmosphere.
Thanks to the light coming from these amazing windows,
and thanks to these amazing pastel-colored frescoes,
using pink, gold and gray,
perfectly matching with this original marble fireplace,
including Sarristori's family coat of arms.
Ilaria, did you know that Charlotte,
the niece of Giuseppe Bonaparte,
established a cultural circle
right here in Palazzo Sarristori?
Unbelievable.
It was frequented by international intellectuals,
such as Gabriele D'Annunzio, Lord Byron,
and composers Puccini, Rossini, Strauss and Wagner.
Wow, this is unbelievable.
Alexander, let me show you something special.
Here we're standing in front of a very incredible work of art,
a glazed terracotta stove by Gennari Manufactory.
Can you imagine there are only two examples
in the entire world?
Only two?
Believe me.
Invaluable.
In this room, we can definitely say
that a big chapter of history got to the end,
because it's exactly here
where Giuseppe Bonaparte, Napoleon's brother,
passed away,
as you can read on this plaque.
We step now into another incredible room.
First thing, we look up at this amazing
golden and adorned ceiling
with this fresco that really brings you into the story
with these amazing details of warriors falling down,
clouds, rainbows,
really telling you a story
of good winning against evil.
It's been a great day,
and I guess we're done for the moment.
Thank you for being with us, Alexander, really.
It's been a pleasure, Ilaria.
