In a warm, quiet corner of the old barn, the mouse family lived happily.
Mama, Papa, and the three little mice played, told stories, and nibbled on cheese.
But nearby, Whiskers the cat crouched in the shadows, watching with greedy eyes.
Tonight, I'll catch them all, he purred.
As the sun set, the family gathered for dinner.
But they didn't see the cat sneaking closer through the cracks.
Far away, Max the Brave heard the news through his tiny cheese radio.
Trouble at the barn!
He grabbed his cape and dashed out.
Max raced through the underground tunnels, dodging beetles and jumping over pebbles.
Hold on, I'm coming!
Whiskers had set a trap.
He placed cheese near a box and waited, grinning.
