Hey guys this is Kinjal Karani and I'm Pranay and welcome back to our channel.
Today we have a very special tutorial for you guys on our very favorite song Mourni Banke.
And if you haven't checked out our dance video then please make sure you go back
to our channel and check out our dance video because one of our really hard-working
students she has done this video with Pranay.
So this choreography is primarily meant for kids of all age groups and it's also
used for anyone who's prepping for a sangeet or a wedding choreography.
So definitely don't miss this one and also don't forget to
like, share and subscribe to our channel.
So without any further ado let's get into the tutorial.
So we're going to start with a very easy step first which is going to be the hands on the waist
and our shoulders are going to move up and down.
So it's going to go one, two, three, four.
With that we're going to move side to side.
So we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six and that's it.
We're going to do it three times.
So with music we're going to skip the first two beats and then we're getting to it.
So it's going to sound something like this.
It's going to be na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na and na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na.
We're going to move to step number two.
Okay, so the step number two is going to be something like from here.
So we ended our last step here.
The step number two is going to start from here where we're going to run forward.
Okay, in four steps.
So we're going to go one, two, three.
Okay, and then the fourth one is going to jump.
Okay, all right.
So let's step back and give that a try again.
Okay, so we're going to go one, two, three, four.
Perfect.
So let's try step number one and step number two together.
Okay, so it's going to be na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na, one, two,
three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Perfect.
So our next move is going to be an actual bhangra move.
So we're going to kick.
We're going to kick on this side first.
So when you kick, make sure to throw colors.
Just pretend you're throwing colors actually.
So we're going to go one, two, and then the other side.
We're going to throw the throw colors up.
So we're going to go three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
So we're going to do this how many times?
Four times.
All right.
So let's step back and try it again, right?
So we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Perfect.
So let's try all of these three steps again, right?
So it's going to be...
Wait, wait, wait.
Let's step back.
We're going to go na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na, and na-na-na-na-na, na-na-na-na-na,
jump.
And then we go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
All right.
So our next move is going to be with our arms up like this.
And our this leg is going to go across.
It's going to go pull.
Do you see how I'm pulling my arms down?
So I'm going to go pull, back, pull, pull, pull.
Okay.
So this is something...
This is how it's going to look actually.
So it's going to go one, two, three, four, five, six.
Okay.
And we're going to go seven, eight.
Clap, clap.
Okay.
So let's try it again.
Ready?
One, two, three, go.
So we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Perfect.
Our next move is going to be...
This arm is going to go up.
And I'm going to snap with my arms.
If you don't know how to snap, that's fine.
Just like pretend that you're snapping.
And we're going to walk two steps forward while hopping.
So this is how it's going to look.
So it's going to go one, two.
Okay.
Perfect.
And then we're going to take our back leg, the leg which is behind, outside.
So as soon as you take it outside, your arms are going to go three, four.
Perfect.
So let's back up and try that step again.
So we're going to go one, two, three, four.
Perfect.
Now, the next move is going to be...
That's the lyrics.
So we're going to go push.
So did you see how I push?
I'm pushing in the opposite direction.
Coming back, pushing on the other side.
And I'm going to jump.
Perfect.
Okay.
So this is how it's going to look.
Again, let's try that step again.
We're going to go one, two, three, four.
All right.
So with music, it's going to look something like this.
It's going to be...
Perfect.
And we're going to go...
So it's going to be one, two.
This is very simple.
We're going to run back and clap.
So we're going to go three, four.
We're going to go five, six, seven, eight.
Okay.
The last one, our feet are going to be apart like this.
Okay.
Perfect.
All right.
So let's try it from back.
Let's see if it will come out.
Okay.
So we're going to go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
One, two, three, four.
Perfect.
So this was our part one.
And let's try all of the steps from here until here.
Okay.
Ready?
All right.
Five, six, seven, go.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
And that's the end of section one.
Okay, guys, we're going to get into the next section of the song.
So our previous step basically ended here.
Our hands were like this.
From here, you're going to go put your hands behind your head.
And your right leg is going to come forward like this.
One.
And elbows come forward, right?
So we're going to do that one more time.
Your hands were like this.
You're going to put your hands behind your elbow.
The right leg forward.
Going to go one, right?
After you do one, you're basically going to cross turn with left leg forward.
And your left hand is behind like this.
Keep your other right hand like still above here on your head.
And you're going to do the same rocking motion again.
You're going to go one, two, right?
So we're going to do that whole thing one more time from here.
Ready?
Three, two, one, go.
We're going to be like holding this pose.
And we're going to go one, two, turn, three, four.
Do again.
One, two, turn, three, four.
Okay?
So the whole thing is going to come twice.
We're going to do that one more time just as a refresher.
Since you get in the motion of it.
Ready?
So we're basically like this.
Hands are like this.
Five, six, seven, go.
One, two, turn, three, four, turn.
One, two, turn, three, four.
Very good.
So make sure you watch your footwork.
It's always heel first and then cross, heel, and cross, heel, cross, heel, cross.
Okay?
Make sure you get that down.
All right.
Once we finish that, you're basically, your last step, you're going to be like this.
Right?
You're going to end it here.
And from here, you're going to get into the next step, which we've already learned before.
You're basically going to go back to this guy right here.
Right?
So you saw the transition.
I was basically in this posture on the left-hand side.
You're going to have to jump and keep your hands out away from your face.
And you're going to jump backwards.
One, two, three, and clap.
Arms out again.
And you go back.
One, two, three, clap, jump, sit.
Okay.
So that's what we're going to go over one more time.
So the only thing that is different is your arms are out.
One, two, three, clap.
Arms out.
One, two, three.
You're going to clap, jump, and sit.
Okay?
Make sure you're on your right knee.
And you want to land slow so that way you don't hurt yourself.
Right?
Your hands are out like this.
Now, our next step from here is you're going to go forward and clap.
You're going to tap.
And you're going to go away, away.
Right?
So you're going to go one, two, three, four.
One, two, three, four.
It's going to come two times.
And after that, you're going to get up like this.
You're going to go one, get up, two, fully get up.
Yeah?
So it's like partially, you're going to partially come up.
And then after that, you're going to completely come up.
Right?
So let's do that one more time from here all the way to that step.
Okay?
Good.
All right, let's go.
Three, two.
We're like this.
Three, two, one, go.
One, two, turn.
Three, four, turn.
One, two, turn.
Three, four, and jump, go.
One, two, three, clap.
One, two, three, clap, jump, sit.
One, two, three, four.
Good job.
All right, if you reached this so far, very good.
We've only got a few more steps and we're almost done with the choreography.
Okay?
So our final steps of the song, after you finish like this, you're going to go,
put your left hand on your waist, right hand stays here.
You're going to go, you're going to turn this right hand like this,
look to your hand, go one, switch weight, and then go two.
Right?
So on the song, it's going to go,
Okay?
So we're going to do those two, like two times,
and then that's going to take you to the main step of the song.
So the main step of the song, left arm remains on the waist.
Your right leg is, you're going to be putting all your weight on your left leg.
So your right leg is going to be like this, right arm very close to your right leg.
So this is one, and then you shift weight two as the arm comes up.
Right?
One more time.
So you're going to go one, jump, hop, two.
Jump, hop again, one, and two.
One, and two.
Make sure you balance your weight out.
So that way one leg is always on your toe.
Right?
One more time.
Three, two, one, go.
You're going to go one, and two, one, and two.
Very good.
Now that whole thing comes two times,
and then we're going to transition to the next step of the song,
which is like this, which is like a peacock, right?
So you want both arms to be tied together with the thumb in the middle and fingers apart.
You want your feet apart like this, shoulder width,
and then you're going to basically slam on the right side,
and you're going to go slowly bend and come up.
Right?
So we're going to go one, two, three, four.
Okay?
And combining this step with the one we learned earlier,
it's going to look like this.
Five, six, seven, go.
You're going to go one, and two, three, and four, and five, six, seven, eight.
Again, one, and two, three, and four, five, six, seven, eight.
Good job if you got that down the first time.
That's the main step of the song.
You're going to use it a couple times in this choreography,
so make sure you get a good hold on that.
After that, we have the part of the lyrics where this step comes back again.
So once we finish one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
you're going to do the push again.
You're going to go one, two, three, and four.
Okay?
We're going to do that one more time.
So it's the push we learned earlier.
We're going to go one, two, three, and four.
Now same thing to the right.
Go one, two, three, and four.
Okay?
So we're going to alternate that.
After you finish this, you're basically getting into the last part of the song
where you're going to have to do this bend one more time
before we get into the main chorus step.
Right?
So on the music, it goes like this.
Right?
So if you start from here, it's going to go,
Aj phir kitte chaliye, moorani banke, moorani banke.
Right?
And then after that, the next part of the song, it's going to say,
Right?
It's going to go like that, that part.
And then after that, you're going to do this again.
Same thing one more time.
And then that will lead us to the final step,
which is the main step of the song, which is this guy.
You're going to go back to one, two, three, four,
and five, six, seven, eight.
One, two, three, and four, and five, six, seven, eight.
Okay.
So let's start back from here and we'll go through the whole thing again.
Ready?
Three, two, one, go.
We're going to go one, two, turn, three, four, and one, two, and three, four, jump.
One, two, three, clap, go.
One, two, three, jump, sit.
And we're going to go one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, up.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
One, and two, three, and four, five, six, seven, eight.
One, two, three, and four, one, two, three, and four, one, two, three, four.
1, 2, 3, 4, 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
Awesome! Good job! Good job! Alright, I just want to say that was not an easy
choreography but it's supposed to be fun so watch the video as many times as you
need to to get a hang of it, right? And the last part of the step after you
finish this is kind of free to interpretation. We'll show you what we
did and we basically put our hands out like this, right? And then we basically
kind of jump in place and we do it and then we just make a circle like this. So
you can make a quick circle like this and if you're doing a performance or if
you're, you know, if you're on stage and stuff, right? If you have a bunch of
people, make sure you can like plan where you're like turning in groups and make
sure you're like opposite and then you can step out of the frame, right? So you
can do a bunch of things like that with formations and different people coming
in going out, right? To make it a little more intensive. So that's pretty much it
for this tutorial on Mourni Banke. If you guys want to watch the video with the
actual song, we will leave the link in the description below so make sure to
check that out as well and we will see you guys on another tutorial. Until then
stay tuned with Amdaas. Bye!
