Welcome to Life After Life Channel, where we delve into the profound theme of the ""end"" - an exploration of life's closeness and transitions. Join us on a journey to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies and meanings of life through a unique perspective on endings and new beginnings."
So I did some research on it, and there's a wide range in how long it will be.
But what will happen is women and the matriarchal, the Me Too movement, the women's movement,
doesn't mean that men are left out. It just means that the leadership is maternal. It's like a
the earth is a mother. And so we're moving into a maternal age, thank God, where people care more
and people see that we're all connected, that we're all related, that we're all one.
My name is Jean Mayel, and I live in the Boston area in the U.S. I've been giving readings
for 30 years, and I also lead a meditation in loving-kindness, and I do predictions
on the world, of the world, and I teach intuition. I teach people to be intuitive, to be psychic,
because everyone has this gift. You know, that's a great mystery. What do souls do
after passing away? So I can tell you an experience I had about that, but I am not
somebody who will say I absolutely know what souls do. I think that I don't fully know,
but I've certainly done, I've had some experiences, and one experience I had
was a near-death experience that was, it was fabricated. We were, I was at a retreat,
and they had us all meditating and lying down, and then it was one of these guided meditations
where they actually had us leave our body as if we were dying, and for some reason,
it was really easy to do, and there were about 100 people. It was at a place called Kripalu Yoga
Center in Western Massachusetts, and they had this program, and I wasn't expecting it, and
anyway, we laid back, and they had us leave our bodies, and for some reason, I was able to do it,
and whew, I was, I slipped right out of my body, and the next thing I know, I was up in the clouds
and looked so real. I felt that I had traveled, and I know this sounds crazy. I didn't know I'd
be talking about these things today, but there I was, and I was looking down at the curve of
the earth, and then I turned, and I saw all these souls flying around the earth like,
I, they were, they were, you know, sort of transparent, and they were circling the earth,
just circling and flying, and they looked like they were having fun, and I thought,
wow, I wonder if the earth is actually surrounded by all the souls of people who lived here,
who would still like to be here, and at one point, I saw an image of a soul standing there,
like they left their body, they went up to the edge of the earth, and then they kind of did a
back dive, like they bent backwards, like you're doing a dive off a diving board backwards,
and then they just flew around and around, and I know that sounds crazy, but I actually told that
story to a man who was a minister and also a psychic, and he was really shocked because he
said that there are, I think the Rosicrucians or some group, some sect of a religious sect
that actually describes that kind of event, that they describe that, and I was just like, oh, well,
I guess maybe I picked up on something that somebody believes, but I can't say for sure.
I think we're around for a little while. There's so many stories of people who've
passed who seem to be around for a while, while they're needed, while they're called on,
and then I think that they let go and move on, and after a while, too, and I noticed that
people who've lost people will say, years later, say, well, I just don't think about it so much
anymore, you know, somebody who's left, who's lost someone. They can feel that they're away.
I also feel that, again, this is my own feeling. I can't tell people how to feel
or what they should know, but I also feel that when you call upon somebody on the other side,
even if it's been a long time, and maybe they are flying off around the earth, having a blast,
having a good time, they come. They come when you call them,
and I was thinking about Ruth Bader Ginsburg when I said that.
I've never met her. She was a Supreme Court justice, and she was very loved,
and she passed a few years ago to everybody's sorrow, and I think of her, she seems to appear
a lot in my mind, telling people in the United States not to worry or keep the faith. I thought
of her today when I was leading a meditation, so I lead this meditation four days a week.
It's called Loving Kindness Meditation, and it's really, in some ways, it's the highlight of my
week and my work. It's a Zoom meditation, and people show up when they want to. It's free.
Just drop in, and I guide them in a meditation. We sit silently, but then we do loving kindness,
which is a type of Buddhist prayer. I'm not a Buddhist, but I like the rituals. I like the
wisdom, and every religion has some good wisdom, and they have a lot of good wisdom,
and so I'm meditating with people and guiding them, and often, once everybody starts to get
really quiet and settle down, I will start to see angels in my mind coming up overhead.
They seem to kind of fly in and hang out over us, and then my belief is that they're always there,
but that we can't see them when we're all distracted reading the news or being busy.
During the meditation, we settle down, and when we get peaceful, they come in.
By the way, my dog also comes in when we get peaceful. The door opens, and she walks in and
sits down too, so there's such a lovely energy once we start to get peaceful. Today, I was
leading the meditation and invoking peace and love in all people, and that the whole human
race could evolve, could grow, that we could all evolve and become more light-centered,
and as I did that, I saw her, and I felt like she was being a mentor, a guide of courage and
strength. People would ask, well, what would she do right now in this country when so much
turmoil is going on, so much conflict is happening? People are scared, some people,
and so it's as if she just appeared. I do think that every thought we have and every
thing we say and do in our lifetime lives on. It's all going to be here,
and so was Ruth Bader Ginsburg visiting me, or was her energy, her words, her consciousness,
which never goes away, was I calling that in? I'm not sure there's any difference, really.
Between those two, but it does teach us something about being kind, being caring, telling the truth,
being the best person we can be, because that, whatever we are, stays around,
and if we help people, it changes them, and it changes their lives, and that stays around too.
Well, I have a big view, a worldview that goes very far out, and I think that we are in a,
we're like toddlers in terms of if we survive as a species, we're kind of in the youth or
early stages of our development. We're only 200,000 years old, really, humans, whereas
what is the planet? I'm going to, several billion years, and there are many, there are species now
on the earth. Turtles are a lot older than we are. I don't know why we think we're so much
smarter than they are, but I think we are at a stage of early childhood, really. We're like
two years old, terrible twos. It's all about me and my, and I believe that if we don't kill
ourselves off, and I don't think we will, if we survive, and I believe that we will survive,
but maybe not seven billion of us. I think that we will evolve and become,
this whole understanding that we're all one, we just have to grow up and realize it. It's not
hocus pocus. It's science, and if we reach that point where we understand these things,
treat each other more humanely, I think it's a long time off, a long way off. I think we have to
go through hardship in order to wake up. It usually is how it works.
When you ask about the next few years, but certainly where I live, I think we have a
hard road right now. I think a lot of difficulty, and we're not kind. Our government is unkind
and restrictive and doesn't treat people humanely, and I understand their position,
and I don't agree with it. I think there's enough food to go around to end hunger all over the
world. I think we can do better, and I think it's just going to take time before we reach those
conclusions. The Hindus, the Indians, have an astrology that I really resonate with. It's a
circular astrology where they say every 3,000 years there's a shift in whether it's matriarchal
or patriarchal. There's four phases to it, and right now we're in the darkest of the four phases.
We're in the darkest patriarchal. It's called the Kali Yuga, and the different phases are called
the Yugas. We're supposedly around now ending the Kali Yuga phase, sometime around now,
but it could be give or take 100 years or more. I did some research on it, and
there's a wide range in how long it will be, but what will happen is women and the matriarchal,
the Me Too movement, the women's movement, it doesn't mean that men are left out. It just means
that the leadership is maternal. It's like a mother. The earth is a mother, and so we're
moving into a maternal age, thank God, where people care more and people see that we're all
connected, that we're all related, that we're all one. The goal is not to destroy others,
but to give and to care for, and that there's enough to go around.
We're moving into a matriarchal age, and then the first matriarchal age, which goes
according to this astrology, these Yugas, goes 3,000 years, and then after that, a really
stronger matriarchal age, and then after that, it starts to circle back. Everything is cyclical.
It's probably more spiraling than cyclical, but it's similar. A spiral just means it's a cycle
that moves forward, and that's how the earth travels. That's how the solar system moves,
and why wouldn't human consciousness move the same way?
So this is an astrology of consciousness, and I believe in it. I feel it.
And I've seen, you know, you get a lot of these big views, these maximal views of like a whole
astrology. You'll see it reflected in a more microcosmic way. So you see these societies
where women have really taken over, and they're kind of running their subcultures, is more
matriarchal. And I've seen that happen, and I think it will happen, but I think it's going
to take a long time. I'd like to be here to see it happen. I don't know. I don't know if I will,
but I hope that I can do enough good in this life that I can help it to happen,
help to bring it along. When we're sleeping, we are the most
receptive to what's going on in our mind. So intuition is just part of the brain. It's part
of consciousness. It's a part of awareness, just like anything we do, any learning we do,
like we're learning in school and memorizing social studies or whatever. There's also this
constant awareness of our nervous system, of what's going on outside of us. It's constant.
It's always going on, but we're not listening. We're distracted. When you're sleeping, you're in
a very relaxed state, and it's actually a survival kind of gift that we have, that while we're
we are releasing a lot of our stress, but we're also connecting with the world,
connecting with all kinds of things. I remember when, I don't know, seven or eight years ago,
there was a threat of nuclear war that scared everybody. North Korea and the United States
were fighting. I went to bed thinking, please give me a dream and let me know if this is going
to be okay. What I dreamt was, I can't always call up a dream like that, but I did. What I
dreamt was, I was standing out in my backyard, and a missile, like just what you would imagine
would be your worst nightmare, a missile came right out of the sky, out of the clouds towards
me, and I knew that I would not be able to get away. I just stood there and stared at it.
Then in the dream, the missile suddenly backed up and went back into the clouds and disappeared.
I thought, when I woke up, you don't always remember your dreams. I remember that one.
I felt that it was a message. I don't know if somebody sent it to me or whether I called it
up myself, but I knew we would be okay. I knew that all these threats that were going on
between the two leaders would come to nothing. I've had other dreams like that. During the
pandemic, I had a dream like that, a similar dream. They can be very symbolic, too, the dreams,
so they don't seem rational, but if you're open to symbolism, the language of spirit
isn't necessarily words. It can be pictures. It can be metaphors. If you're open to that,
and I've always been very open to that, then you'll get even more messages. You'll understand
even more what you're being told. To me, intuition or the ability to sense
intuitively things going on in the present, across time, across space, but also in the future,
across time, is a natural gift that everyone has, but some people are a little better at it
than others. I am naturally gifted with this, so it's easier for me, but it's a natural gift we all
have that guides us, protects us, reassures us, and in some cases, helps us with danger,
to avoid danger, and in some cases, draws us to joy and love.
The first time I went out with the man who became my husband,
I felt his hand. You know, he gave me his hand, and when I touched his hand,
I knew it was instant. I felt this otherworldly feeling that I was not expecting, and
it wasn't like it was screaming at me, oh, this is the man you're going to marry,
but it was a very strong feeling of magic, really. It was lovely.
How can we fight fear right now? I think about this a lot.
The opposite of love is not hate, it's fear, and fear is really underlying all this anger and
hatred, so how we fight it is with love, and I was texting with somebody earlier today who
was extremely stressed because her extended family, she's American, but her extended family
is Iranian, and they're very scared about a nuclear or some kind of missiles and, you know,
battles, and she's a therapist, and she couldn't sleep all night, but then she had a client,
and as soon as she sat with the client, helping the client, her fear went away. Why? Why did her
fear go away? Because she was helping. She was a light into someone, and she had to have it in
herself to bring it into them, and so the best thing we can do to fight fear is find people to
help, find ways to help others. It seems like counterintuitive. We figure if we're feeling
really scared or afraid or in pain that we should just find a way to take care of ourselves, like
maybe eat your favorite food or, you know, hug your dog or something like that, but when you
help people, you feel full of love, and you're giving love, and you're helping to fill them with
love, and that's the opposite of fear. Oh, I don't want to forget to tell you all of them,
or at least a couple of good ones. One time, I was visiting a neighbor who had lost his son.
Well, his son was in his 30s, and he had died suddenly, and I heard about it. I didn't know
the neighbor very well, but I did know that 20 years or more before, this neighbor had lost his
wife, so I knew that, and I decided to get a box of chocolates and some flowers and walk over to
their house and ring the doorbell, and while I was standing waiting for him to come to the door,
first, I want to tell you that I don't think this person—he's since moved away—I don't think this
person believed in these things that I believe in. I don't know that he—he was a very private
person, and I don't know what his own beliefs were, and I will never know that, but while I
stood there at the front steps waiting for someone to come to the door, I had such a strong—you
know, people talk about feeling the presence of spirits, and I have felt the presence of spirits
many times, but this one was very special. I felt like there—that there were two spirits above me,
and they were so—they looked like—they looked like little helicopters, and they were clearly—it
was just the message was so clear. It was his wife and his son, and they were together. Now,
I'd never told him that, although I did tell his new partner, and I left it to her if she
wanted to share that with him, but it was just kind of astonishing. Another—oh, let's see.
Other experience, yes. When I first started teaching classes, and I was meditating a lot,
I had a bunch of women over to my house. I'd been teaching them the tarot and intuition and
all those things, and it was our last night together, and we were sitting together in the
house on the floor, and I said, let's meditate, and, you know, we did this sort of ritual.
One of them said that she knew how to do a tea ceremony, a Japanese tea ceremony, and she had tea
with her, and I had this piece of incense that had been given to me because I was a writer for a
magazine, and it was like 2,000 years old. That's what they told me. It was a piece of wood,
and it was just a tiny piece, and I ran upstairs to my jewelry box and pulled that out and came
back down, and I said, I'm going to burn this incense now. I'd been saving it for years,
and we made the tea, and we passed the cups, and we all smelled the incense. We burned the
incense, and then we meditated, and I closed my eyes, and in that moment, a spirit who I'd always
prayed to, a female, like a Virgin Mary type of person, energy, came into me, and I went around
the room. All our eyes were closed. Normally, I can never remember people's names, and I had
tried to write them down before they came because I thought, oh, I'm going to want to, you know,
address people, and I don't know their names, but I couldn't remember their names. I knew everyone's
name, and I felt everyone's energy, and I went around the room one by one, and I felt like I
was watching, but this very beautiful angelic spirit was in me guiding and actually speaking
to them, and it makes a believer out of you when you go through an experience like that,
and I have, you know, I've got a science background. Before I started doing readings and all that,
I worked in government at a fairly high level analyzing data. I have three master's degrees,
and I've studied statistics, and I want proof of things, but when you have experiences like that,
you don't need proof. You know what's happening. It's real. It's powerful, and it was a beautiful
experience. She came back in a few more times in the following months, this spirit, and I kind of
sensed that it wasn't going to be something I could just call on all the time, and I've since learned
over the years that you get these experiences, and they're a gift, and they're a guide. They're
guiding you, but you can't crave them, you know. You can't, like, feel disappointed if they don't
come back. That was really astonishing and beautiful. When my mother died, and she lived a
long good life, but I didn't, I wasn't able to be there when she actually, I wasn't able to get there
in time. As soon as I heard that she was dying, I jumped on an airplane. Like, I swear, I got up
from a table. I got a phone call. I got up, and I didn't even grab a suitcase. I grabbed my purse,
and I got in a car and drove to the airport, and on the way, made the reservation, and did
everything I could to get there on time. The plane had to be diverted on the way, and I was stuck in
another city for three hours, and when I finally got there, she had already passed, and they had
already taken her away, so I was very upset, and I turned right around and went home, and it was,
like, 24 hours from the moment that I got on the airplane to when I finally got back home. I was
exhausted and very sad, and so I went to bed that night, and I asked for a dream. I said,
I need a dream. I want to know why I missed her, why I couldn't be there. Now, it's not quite what
you're asking. You're asking, you know, how we can see them, and I can address that, too, but
this was just really jumped. This was an important event. I had a dream that night, and the dream,
it was a symbolic dream, but what the dream showed was I was in Paris. I don't know why Paris,
because my mother and I were never there together, but, and I was, I was trying to go to see her,
and she was in the hotel, and, you know, in, it was a hotel that had a one-way, narrow alleyway
to get there. We don't have that so much in the United States, one, like, roads that only take
one car, you know, one width of a car, and I saw in the dream that if I went to see her
that my car would block the way out, and she wouldn't be able to get out, and when I woke up,
it was just, it was symbolic, but it was so clear. She needed to leave. She was ready to go,
and I would have blocked her way out, and, and it really, really comforted me
to know that. It comforted me. So, what I say to people is, ask for the dream.
It's, it's, it's one of many dreams I've had where I couldn't understand something, something
really painful and difficult, and I just would say, give me a dream before I went to bed.
When you, you can actually get good at this, at calling up dreams, if you sit and focus and then
try to remember your dreams, but in those cases, I didn't have any trouble remembering them.
They were, they were so clear that I'm remembering them today. That was 20 years ago,
and I still remember it. Intuition, which is also the same as the word psychic,
is the ability of all humans, and probably most animals as well, to instantly connect to others
and to the whole earth and on, and other people in the future and in the past and in the present
with a kind of knowing as if we are really just connecting with ourselves.
There is very robust science that has been around since the time of Einstein
and other Nobel Prize winners who lived at the time, physicists, mathematicians,
that quantum physics explains and in a way proves that this ability exists.
It's just hard for people to believe it because it's so invisible unless you are paying attention
to when you are being intuitive. It's invisible to you.
So, another definition is simply the ability to know and sense across time and space.
The knowing that we have when we're being intuitive is instantaneous. It's not like,
for example, there are different aspects to it. There's something called telepathy, which is when
you're actually sensing what another person thinks or what they thought before or what
they will think in the future because the mathematics, the science, and physics is that
this capacity exists in the past, the present, and the future. That's a mystery. It's counterintuitive,
but it's real. One of my favorite things is teaching it and watching a student
who I've taught how to read somebody, how to sense someone, how to sense the future,
and watching them, if they write it all down, watching them discover that they were correct.
It's shocking in a kind of a cool way. It is mind-expanding, which is the best way to describe
it. I remember one time I had a student who was an older man, and I had a lot of students, and
I had them all meditating on the next month, like the future.
Sometimes when they think they're meditating on the future, they're meditating on the present.
In any case, he was seeing an image of the Sydney, Australia Opera House.
It was for the following month. He said something about the Sydney, Australia Opera House.
I went and looked it up afterwards because I'd never really seen it, but it's a very famous
opera house. It's a famous piece of architecture. Two weeks later, something happened there that was
in the news. I don't recall what it was because it's been about eight years since then. It was
good news, but it was news. It was international news about the Sydney Opera House. It wasn't just
any day, any news. It was big news. I got an email from him. I remember he said,
what the hell is going on? I thought, well, now somebody is discovering the intuition they've
always had. After you've done that enough, that practice enough where you write it down,
you're guided by somebody who knows how to bring it out in you. You've written it down,
and then you keep track of what's going on in the world and whether or not what you saw
actually happened. It's eye-opening. It's mind-expanding. You begin to start to feel
your intuition working a lot more. You start to see it during the day. It isn't just about
the future. It's also telepathy. One of the most well-understood or certainly
most universally experienced forms of intuition is a mother and a child,
or two people who are very bonded. I remember sometimes it's very dramatic and intense.
You have a new baby. I remember this when I had my first child. My husband and I went to the movies,
and we left the baby with my mother-in-law and her family. When I was in the movies,
I could hear the baby crying. I could just hear her going bonkers crying. I turned to my husband
and I said, our daughter is really upset. He just said, calm down. When we got home,
sure enough, she was very upset. But much more dramatic stories than that.
One time I was on a meditation retreat where you're quiet all the time. You don't speak,
and you become much more intuitive when you're meditating, when you stop speaking, because
your mind is hearing the signals more. You're not distracted by reading books or reading news
stories. There are also ways to be more intuitive that you can use. I have always been very intuitive.
I've always known things that I shouldn't be able to know, but I didn't realize that that was
psychic ability or intuition. I didn't know what it was. I just felt so certain that I understood
I knew things. Things that I had no ability to know other than they just popped in my head,
and I was certain about it. Later, somebody took me to see a fortune teller, and he was
extremely talented. I thought, oh my gosh, this is real. That was 40 years ago. After that,
I got a deck of tarot cards, and I discovered that you can use visual imagery to expand your
intuition. The cards are really a very good way to do that, but it doesn't have to be tarot. I
think the tarot is good because it was handed down. It has an order to it, a numerology, and
it has a whole system that makes it more useful. I remember once I was thinking about somebody, and
this was in the early stages where I first was honing my intuition, realizing that I had this
gift and trying to figure out better ways to enhance it. I was riding in a subway on my way
to a meeting, and I was thinking about somebody who I knew. It was raining, and I stared at all
the drips coming down on the window of the subway car. It was sort of a train. I realized
that there were pictures in the drips. It was in my imagination. If I focused on him,
I started to see things about him in those pictures. It's not that the subway windows
were giving me a message. It was that I was casting light onto these drips, and I could
see messages in the lights. I love giving readings. When I do one-on-one readings,
I feel uplifted. I feel light coming into me, and I feel like I'm entering into another realm.
Everything in the room seems to come alive, even the furniture, and the light increases.
I want people to know that. I want people to know that this is a gift that was given to me,
and I want to give it to others. I also really want to remind people. I teach a class once a
year. I haven't taught one in over a year. I'm going to soon. Come to my website and look for
that. It should appear in a month or so. It's such an uplifting experience. Your intuition will
increase. Your own light will increase. I guess those are the two things I want to impart that I
didn't really talk about. Thanks for listening.
