As you know, Fujifilm did launch a teaser for a new product announcement event on June 12th, and I can tell you for sure that this is going to be for the XF5 and the new 23mm 2.8 pancake lens. That you need, and it's the most affordable if you consider that it has an integrated viewfinder, so for me as a photographer, this would be high on the priority list. On the same day, Leica will also have an announcement and we will get a new 28-70mm 2.8 L-mount lens, here's the lead image, price of the lens is under 2000 euro and the weight is 570 grams. Here is the size comparison with the Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 lens, so this lens is considerably bigger, of course, don't get misled by the fact that the 17-40mm on this image has a hood on it, but it's definitely longer and wider than the 18-50mm lens. Of course, it's really a big lens compared to what you usually buy as an APC zoom lens when it is 2.8, this is 1.8, so it's double the size, double the weight compared to 18-50mm from the Sigma. So if you own a Sigma BF or plan to buy the Sigma BF, but you are somehow not happy with the lens choices you have because they're too big, there will be pancakes coming down the road in the second half of the year.
