Aurora proudly lives up to its nickname as Canada’s Birthday Town with two unforgettable days of celebration this year. The festivities begin on Monday, June 30, with the energetic “Dance in the Park” — a family-friendly kick-off at Aurora Town Park featuring live bands, a Rotary beer garden, delicious food vendors, and plenty of dancing. The party runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., setting the stage for the big day ahead (aurora.ca).
On Tuesday, July 1, the excitement continues with a festive parade starting at 10 a.m. along Yonge Street, winding its way north from Murray Drive to Aurora Heights Drive (aurora.ca). Following the parade, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Lambert Willson Park and the Aurora Family Leisure Complex burst to life with interactive “passport” activities celebrating all provinces and territories, children’s games, live entertainment, a citizenship reaffirmation ceremony, and food vendors (aurora.ca).
The celebration caps off with another round of live music back at Lambert Willson Park from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 10 p.m. that lights up the night sky and unites our community in one grand patriotic finale (aurora.ca).
