OUR FIRST HOUSE PROJECT!

[Music] yeah good morning everyone happy one day how was your weekend that's what I want to know our this was pretty good the girls had gymnastics Saturday we're down to Tyler and Jude going to gymnastic the other girls have a little lost interest that's fine for now but used to are just too young Patty's our thing but then Adeline had a friend come over we got into some of mommy's birthday chocolate which had gluten in it so Addie ended up with a tummy ache Everly got some and she actually ended up getting a fever she's had a fever for the past two days did you eat chocolate what did you eat mommy chocolate did you get a bad tummy ache no we talked about it we talked about it we talked about it's not okay to take things that aren't yours we talked about it's not okay to take food upstairs anyway said that was our night last night epps up in the bed with John and I she ended up throwing up on him this morning like what was it was on like 5:00 a.m. like steak Sam thankfully it was just the water but your body it's still working to recover from that if you guys are new to our family we have one daughter with confirmed celiac disease you suspect that a few of our other girls also have it so if you're not familiar with celiac disease what that means is that they cannot have gluten anything with gluten in it wheat barley rye we have to look for hidden ingredients with celiac disease it's not just like a sensitivity and they should just avoid eating it it is very dangerous it causes their body to actually attack itself and attack the small intestine so anytime they ingest wouldn't even if it's just like they touched a piece of red and then ate their food that didn't have gluten like that little bit of cross contact contamination will make them sick and then their body attacks their small intestine causes damage to it makes some colace Jake so that is why we are a gluten-free family but for my birthday Tyler picked me out a couple chocolate bars that I had gluten in them I had them in my room but the kids snuck in there easily so anyway that's where we are now recovering slowly everybody else is doing well they're all actually in the living room right now coloring working on art projects let me just show you guys what we got married is working on snap did your favorite I was also super artistic at the kid and all throughout school like my senior year of high school I got three different art classes it just kind of went to my family like my mom my uncle lots of arts lots of arts going on I have to go put some marks on the wall for a special project in her house Danielle's in here measuring for pantry shelving I'm trying to figure out exactly how far apart I want them my friend's husband is going to install them he already got the mrs. supplies and like cut everything I just want to figure out much space I want between each Rock it's hard you know print up actual shelves so I pulled up in your life there that's perfect let's have never done this before plus I don't really [Music] the professional has arrived everybody this is Chris Chris is Becca's husband if you are familiar with Becca but Chris is like fun then Becca so we gotta got better end of the deal on this one today locator is no no what I'm gonna do I'm not involved in any of the decision-making around here so he's gonna hang out and I'm like I'm doing something [Music] mm okay so the first decision was this how far apart the shelves would be and where they would start we have our water shut-off valves in there on one side so we went above that and kind of left room for people towels and things the other side we started a little bit lower the bottom has 16 inches to the first shelf and then 14 inches and then it'll be 12 inches between each shelf going up to the top with a lot of space up there for storing again Buffy Earth so all of the braces and things are in this is what we're gonna do on this side this longer wall here we are doing deeper shelves they're gonna be 12 inches deep so I have some like wider baskets and then for this wall a little bit more narrow that way there's still space to put like bigger things on the bottom a step stool if I need it a broom whatever that way we have just a little bit more like walking room in there then if they had both been 12 inches so that's the plan guys look what we have here Carol Marie wrote her own children's book the adventures here's the meet the author guys this has been in the works for like over a year now longer for years she's had the idea but like actually putting the book together finishing writing and like and all of our kids names are it's a work cited luggage when it goes down that she works back because for years I would see kids just kind of going and bring out if it's just a blonde here I thought everybody gets a booger or something like that thanks babe no you've ripped my freaking mustache no no never mind oh so he's like oh sorry about that but there is well just leave me alone there's don't pull necessary works you're being very nice to my face right now that's not good oh you guys were tired we have been enjoy so we're waiting for the clock and everything to set really well clean them and then we need to paint them just a fresh coat of paint over everything yeah and we can finally put our stuff on very exciting because we did just have a big pile of all of our pantry items on the floor in there so it'll be nice to shelves to put it long we just got all the kids in bed F is still not sleeping but she slept a lot of today and a lot of yesterday cuz she was not feeling good yes 901 now she didn't get tested because she was too young to be tested for celiac disease but she had I told you guys gotten to gluten yesterday no no day before yesterday the day before and then hours later got a fever and had a fever for two days stomach ache she threw up this morning early and then she heard me her diapers have been like just like back when Elena before we quit gluten for her when she was a baby so I think that we're pretty sure without being you know without having the testing pretty sure that she also has celiac yeah which is not surprising because it is genetic runs and families so it wouldn't be surprising for even more the girls to have the gene and haven't develop it anyway so well thanks to Chris for doing the show letting us borrow your husband for so long yeah me too a great job now the reason that we didn't have pantry shelf you guys are probably like did not come with shelves the standard is the ventilated like metal you know coated metal like with the hall the holes that kind of shelving and we really wanted wood shelves but they wanted like almost $900 to put wood shells in there which we knew like if the supplies were less than $200 so yeah we knew it was something that would be more affordable to do ourselves afterwards that is why their house didn't have shelves in a pantry it could have we just knew we wanted wooden ones and so we just opted to not put the ventilator at all right we can do it we have a lot to do we want to get we're planning to have sod and fencing done soon for a backyard frigerator yeah we need some rugs we need some furniture upstairs so what you do but I have been taking my time with the decisions because I feel like if there's one thing I hate its spending money on something and then like not liking it so I don't want to pick out couches and then be like oh I wish I would have just like looked a little bit more and felt you know right or like for example our last home we filled with furniture just to get front we were like oh we need this we need this and we just bought the stuff yeah stuff we'd liked but this time I really want to go through and be like look on Pinterest and get ideas for like I want this room to look a certain way and like have a style you know and buy things that fit that style instead of just filling it with furniture I will not be intentional and get things that like fit us that we're gonna like for a you know Federation we've ordered couches yeah you know what like someone I know what chairs they want the dining room is soon as the couches come in that'll be good it's like bit by bit we're making do with what we don't have right now well we're tired yeah it was I was up with cuz she was sick last night and you were up the night before with Mary so we're kind of still like trying to recover so I've got a big school week ahead of us I had the girls up school tomorrow and we should probably talk about that one yeah
