PUTTING OUR COUCHES TOGETHER FROM HOME RESERVE!

Today's the day we're doing it. I just told John that it's a bad idea, but we're going for it anyway. We're going to put together our couches, but here's the problem. Good morning, everyone. I'm rocking the quarantine mom hair. Don't care. I actually kind of love it. Just stays up there and it does its thing. Today's a great day. If you didn't notice back there, we have a guest in the kitchen. She goes by the name of Nana. Good morning, everybody. Nana's here. It's still morning. It is like a breath of fresh air. Just to have some extra hands. Also, one other guest is here. It's Poppy. Yay! Yay. My parents are headed to Florida to see my dad's brother. And so they stopped by to say hi and stay for, they stayed last night. Oh, you want to say hi? Okay. Hi. You're so cute. Oh my goodness. They stopped by to say hi. They spent last night and they're going to spend tonight and then head down that way. So we're so excited. It is also a great day for another reason. Today's the day we're doing it. We're finally going to do it. It's probably a bad idea. I just told John this. I just told John that it's a bad idea, but we're going for it anyway. We're going to put together our couches and you guys are going to get to see what they look like finally. I know you've all been waiting, but here's the problem. Here is our dilemma. They did not finish our fence yesterday. It's pouring rain. So they're not going to be here until tomorrow to finish it. So there's mud everywhere, basically. The concern that I have is that thing one and thing two, we're going to go outside to go to the bathroom, get all muddy, come in. Thing one will be fine. This one, the big one, he's good. It's the puppy who I think might come in, act like a wild animal when he's all wet and run and jump all over the couches with his wet dog self. So we'll see what happens. We're going to have to keep them on a tight leash. Thank you. Thank you. Anyway, I'm going to get to unboxing this and then see, I've never put a couch together like this. So it's going to be interesting. I believe I can do it. You want to do it? What? Put the couches together? Yeah, I want to do it. All right, John's going to do it. Say, I'm eating breakfast. No, she's kidding. She already had breakfast. This is her snack. Hi. You want to see? Are you excited? I am. Something soft to sit on. I mean, about being here. Oh, the couch. Absolutely. I have no idea what to expect when we open these boxes, like how long this is going to take. Hopefully it's pretty quick. Here we go. What's in here? Whoa! That was almost your fingers. What'd you get us into? Those are cushies. This is like the foam. In my day, we went to a furniture store and bought a couch already made. Yeah, exactly. The nice thing about this is this home reserve is they're like all replaceable parts. So like if something breaks or gets stained and ruined, whatever, you can just buy a new cover, buy a new cushion, buy a new frame. Are you okay? Can you get workers calm? I was thinking it's a good idea to open all the boxes instead of just opening the ones we need at the moment. Jonathan, we're building all the couches. Yeah, but like, what if we get parts mixed up? Okay, I am hiding the couch cover. So these, this is like the inner cushion. I'm hiding the covers. Y'all aren't going to see what color these things are until we put them together. Nice. Now I am officially overwhelmed. I knew you were going to say that. Because you opened both boxes. I know, I should have done one at a time. That's what I said. Jon, why wouldn't you tell me to do them all at once? That's what I said. What tools do we need? This is the arm parts bag, okay? Great, dump the whole arm parts bag out and then dump the other bag out and then you'll have them all confused and mixed up. Why don't you let me do this? Would you look at this? It looks like we're starting to get a couch here. All right, you guys, that was intense. My dad helped and it made it go so much faster. So I'm glad that we didn't put it together before they got here. Because I don't think I would have wanted to do it without the help. Plus all the kids. Do you want to see them? Here's the thing. We're missing a rug, coffee table, two accent chairs that I just have to decide on. And then I need some throw pillows. I feel like nobody should be surprised that the couches are white. So we're gonna get some brown leather chairs to go here. A big rug, coffee table. What do you think, John? Yeah, I'll figure that out. Yeah, John's gonna figure that out. I'll go ahead and order that today. I'll get it figured out. What's cool about this material is that it is stain resistant. You can also take the covers off and throw them in the washing machine. But for real, there's a video online, the little look on Home Reserve, where they put red wine on the fabric and clean it right off. So maybe we will try that and show you. Maybe not right now. Anyway, so that's why we went with white. Because Home Reserve's fabrics are super stain resistant, machine washable. And the worst case scenario is that we can replace the covers if needed. So every part of this couch is replaceable. The frame, the cushions, the covers. So even if we get tired of the color, we can buy new covers, whatever. So that's what we went with, white couches. I cannot wait. Favorite place to get a rug. Favorite place to get, throw pillows. Throw it my way. What's up, guys? Got the couches all together. They're looking really good. Really happy with them. I think Daniela is too, I hope. We'll see. The kids are outside playing right now. We'll let them stay up a little later today. It's Nana and Poppy, they leave tomorrow morning. Anyways, I was just trying to say goodbye and say see you later, but Nana and Poppy are leaving tomorrow morning. They were just here for the day. They came last night. And unfortunately, they're leaving us in the morning. Super dumb, but. The kids are gonna be distraught. I'm gonna take advantage of this, so sweet. Look at that, go get that. We need to have this forever. The two people with babies. Aw, sweet. On the new camera. You didn't know you'd have to put your own couch together when you came, did ya? Yeah. Wanna sit on a couch? Good, gotta put it together. It went pretty good. Yeah, it was good. They look good. They're walking so far apart. They are, we need some stuff in the middle. You wanna say goodbye to everybody? Goodbye, everybody. We love you. I don't know how long it's gonna take me to decide on the rest of the stuff, but I'm planning. You're getting there. Well, see, the thing is, I am running for a really, really, really, really, really big goal with my own living business, so I don't have time to be looking for furniture. All right, babe, I'm gonna let ya. I'm like, I'm gonna hustle. I've got this dream and this goal for next month, and so my focus is there, and then I can get furniture later.
