Novak Djokovic Was One Point From Defeat… Then This Happened!

Let's make some noise first of all from the USA Sebastian Korda and their opponent the number one seed from Serbia Novak Djokovic. Oh right into the corner oh well talk about speed Oh right on cue an absolute beaut that one does though first ace for the American There's another point and game Oh it's glorious again that the foot speed and balance of Djokovic just makes a shot like that Right on cue again that one was a little bigger at two o'clock Commoner science Absolute class from Seb Korda and this time goes early You see Djokovic maybe feeling the heat a little It's a nice bit of respite oh well there you go that's all he needs to do What a forehand that is from Korda oh it's a bonkers point and it's gone the way of Seb Korda and almost out of nowhere it's the American who breaks first what a turn up Not so far didn't quite do enough with the volley Fifth ace Oh would you believe it it was a brilliant kick serve maybe had too much time on the back end Djokovic here there and everywhere and somehow he's dug himself out of trouble No doubt about it Korda felt the nerve oh that's more like it That's quality from Korda all he done well dealt with it was an awkward low ball I think a few times a set of epic proportions finally goes the way of Seb Korda and from a psychological point of view that is an astonishing set to win takes it on his seventh set point and Djokovic will need to come from a set down if he is to claim a 90 second title World number five not happy as Korda takes the opener by seven games to six in an hour and 14 minutes he's dismissing someone from his box That's brilliant from Korda once again What a second serve oh it's brilliantly done and again the reaction afterwards just tells you Still doesn't look overly comfortable No real reaction but it was a mighty fine game from Djokovic oh that's a wondrous return It's Korda who's challenging his own serve here so this is the unique situation where a player home mile but was well wide Oh cheeky from the great champion it was all over that serve The only player to beat him in that time Korda just continuing to look very very good something different from Djokovic Certain shots aren't there that certain plays Neatly done it's another serve and volley winner just about Behind the base where he wants to be exactly the same thing there's Korda As once again Korda out rallies Djokovic As it is championship point for the world number 33 Oh what an overhead all of Serbia held their breath absolute quality He's missed it and Djokovic survives it's Korda now is just starting to look good All of a sudden he can do no wrong We go the distance Djokovic survives saves a championship point and it will be a one-second shooter As he holds serve to love Oh it's a beautiful pickup Djokovic just saying anything you can do I can do just as well It was almost exhibition tennis fullness personified I can't get out of the game just yet And then hits a first serve like that a massive service The screen they're showing the screen Djokovic is not overly happy the screen as you can see just behind the umpire Stunning serve it's a serve that has worked so well all week Oh yes supreme What a recovery beautiful backhand though from Djokovic It's a ripper again coolness personified and this time it's Djokovic's turn to roll Gutsy hold and it doesn't matter he played the ball that was going out Off to return no way through the ball just keeps coming back He saved a championship point in the second set this time it's Djokovic's turn to have a championship point Djokovic reigns in Australia once again A win of mental fortitude for the world number five He was
