My house burnt down. Well, actually,
three of the homes that I've lived in
are completely destroyed.
Unfortunately, this video is not
clickbait. It's something I wish I could
say that it is, but just about every
home that I've lived in is completely
destroyed, devastated, and it's gone.
Let's talk about it. This is definitely
uh one of those tough videos that I'm
trying to make, so just be patient with
me. I don't really have the best script
or organized thoughts in my head, but I
want to take you through my story and my
experiences with these different homes
that I lived in that are destroyed. Um,
I do want to kick this story off with a
positive note, however,
and I just have to look through my notes
because I just can't think super clear
right now, guys. But I want to kick this
story off with one of the only positive
notes. The only house that I've lived in
that is still standing. The original
team raar house. This is where it all
started for me after the share the love
days. This is where dream team was for a
quick moment and it quickly evolved into
team raar. This is the origin story of
everything. This is where my career
extremely popped off. This is probably
where you guys started watching a lot of
the videos in the backyard filling the
house with trampolines and everyone
starting their channels. Both Ryan and
Stove started their YouTube channels in
this house. This is the house that we
met Bailey and his channel started
popping off after we started filming
together and it was an incredible time.
But this is where the good news of this
video is going to end. That house is
fine. It's still standing there. It's
looking amazing and whoever is living in
it now is probably living the dream.
Let's move on to team house number two.
This was a bigger, grander house. You
guys probably know this one even more
than the first one. We had the craziest
of videos between filling it with snow,
underwater houses, giant trampoline
towers, and of course, all the crazy
things we've done on the tennis court.
This video though isn't to really look
back at all the positive memories. It's
to look at where things are now. That
house is no longer with us. It's
completely destroyed, devastated. But
it's actually not due to any of the LA
fires. That house is destroyed by the
current owners. That was the plan the
whole time. They went and purchased the
house as an investment. They wanted to
tear it down after they got permits and
build a huge mega mansion. I was the
very last person to live there before it
got torn down. And that just makes me
sad to think that I'll never be able to
go back to that house. And all the
videos is the only memories that I have
of it. So, it's just even just that
alone is quite emotional, but not super
new to you guys. I have a lot more to
tell you in this story. A lot of you
guys probably have heard on the news
that huge fires came sweeping LA,
Pacific Palisades in Malibu. I thought
that these fires would never have
affected me the way that they have. And
I want to get into it. This is the
untold story of a lot of my personal
life outside of content. I didn't always
live at the team houses and those houses
weren't always true functional houses. A
lot of them were kind of 50/50. We kind
of half stayed there, half lived in
them. but also we had our places nearby
because getting out of the content and
the craziness and going home and resting
before the next crazy day of videos was
often needed. I know for me being a
YouTuber for years at this point, it was
something that I needed too. So that is
when I started looking for a place to
live outside of the team house and that
is what brought me to Malibu. This is
the first time I've been in LA since the
fires. We're in Malibu right now and
man, everything is different. Stuff is
burnt like those railings. There's
traffic cones. Half the roads are shut
down. This lane right here is completely
closed. It looks crazy out here. And
this has been a little while so they've
cleaned it up. Oh, that building is
completely torched. Oh, this is making
me nervous for uh what we're about to
see. Driving back to a home you know is
no longer standing is a crazy feeling.
This is about to be the first time that
I get to see it.
Okay, here we go.
This is such a surreal experience
like walking in. I mean, even just the
road here is destroyed. Probably just
from all the construction vehicles
trying to do all the cleanup efforts.
Wow.
This is insane, guys. This used to be a
towering condo. Multiple units,
beautiful ocean view.
It is literally just gone. I mean, it's
cleaned out. All the rubble is gone.
So, it's crazy because some of the
neighbors look completely perfect. I
mean, a little bit of ashy. They need
like a power wash, but other than that,
they are perfect. But, so why does some
places burn down, but literally right
next door are just fine. That's such a
strange thing. Every single one of these
garages is completely evacuated. Even
the units that didn't burn down, like
this one and this one, are still
completely empty and they're just doing
cleanup with all these machines. So,
even if they didn't burn down, you were
still dramatically affected cuz I don't
think people are living here right now.
Our neighbors used to live in these two
units right here. They look completely
untouched, but I think they're also
evacuated. So, I don't know what kind of
fire damage they did get. Maybe they
burnt out on the inside. Oh, wow. That's
not good. They have these signs posted
out front with the US Army Corpse of
Engineers. I guess they got to pull out
the entire insides. I think they burnt
on the inside but not the outside. No
parking signs everywhere.
Just a bunch of cleanup happening. Ever
since I first moved to LA, I fell in
love with Malibu and I made it my dream
to eventually live here and ideally
purchase real estate. So, for years I
was shopping on and off, exploring
Malibu until finally I posted enough
videos, made enough money that I could
actually start thinking about purchasing
real estate. So, we started shopping and
I came across this place. I was looking
for something cozy and comfortable to
get away from the crazy teamer house. I
was looking for something with a
beautiful ocean view and access to a
beach. And I finally found this place.
Some random girl I used to date, you
know who, ended up purchasing this place
and it became our home for the next
couple of years. It was absolutely
perfect. Every week I would walk down to
the beach and jump in the ocean before
filming videos at the team house. We
invited friends over. We enjoyed the
ocean view. And my dream of living in
Malibu is finally happening. I couldn't
have been happier. Of course, that was
all before the unthinkable happened. The
LA's fire broke out. The ashes went
flying and the place got destroyed. This
time by fire, which is putting my count
of destroyed homes at two. The team
house got destroyed by its owner. This
one by fire. So, let's go and check this
place out. These were the stairs that I
used to climb every day. It was kind of
a lot, but you get used to it, but it
was super worth it because the view from
up here is just amazing. And this is one
of the most beautiful things that I
loved about here is having the ocean
view like this is just insane.
Unit number 14.
The front door was right here. We go
into an amazing two-bedroom condo with
the most beautiful ocean views
and it's completely gone. I never
thought it was just going to burn down
and be completely disappeared like that.
It was built in like the 70s and I
figured if it lasted that long,
nothing's going to stop it. But
sure enough, one bad fire comes around
and it changes everything. Taking a
closer look at the foundation of this
place. It's insane to see how it's built
into the actual hillside going all the
way up. But that is what gives you the
incredible ocean view.
I don't know what's going to come next.
cuz I don't know if they're going to
rebuild or it's going to stay like this
for a long time. But either way, at this
point, all I have is memories of this
amazing place. It holds a very special
place in my heart living here for many
years.
It's just kind of crazy to think that is
actually gone literally forever. I just
did not expect that. I can still
remember the first day that I toured
this place, opening the door, walking
in, and seeing that ocean view for the
very first time. I fell in love. This
place was literally perfect. It was so
special in so many ways. And now it's
gone literally forever. And the craziest
part is the story of destruction for me
does not end here. We actually have a
bigger one. So, let's go deeper into
Malibu. And let me show you. All of this
used to be oceanfront houses the whole
way down. So much so, like corner like
edge to edge that you couldn't even see
the water. Every single one of them is
burnt. Like literally every single one
going up and down this drive every day
when I was living here. I never saw the
ocean because they had all of these
homes edge to edge. I don't have any
video to really show you what before
looked like, but it looked very similar
to this where the houses were just edge
to edge all the way down PCH. So that's
the before and the burnt is the after.
Oh, and there's a G Wagon. Look at that.
I mean,
the destruction is literally
mind-blowing. They've already cleaned up
so much and there is still just so many
things left over. The construction
driving down PCH is a disaster even with
traffic normally with all these road
closures, all this construction, all
these houses. I don't know how people
are going to move forward and rebuild.
It's just there's so much to do. There's
so many houses to rebuild. I think it's
going to take years.
Oh man. Okay, thank you.
Lane is closed. So, I actually wasn't
sure if I was going to be able to make
it up the road to go see this next
house. Okay, we are rolling up to what
was
going to be my house. Oh my gosh, there
is nothing left. I don't even know where
I am right now, basically.
Oh my goodness.
Okay. I mean, I'm supposed to be looking
at the house and there's nothing. It's
just ocean view.
Wow. There is literally nothing here.
This one is literally more devastating
than the last. I don't even recognize
this piece of land. I mean, it just
looks like a little bit of a hillside,
but there was so much here. This was the
garage door, the front door. We'd walk
in. That was the backyard all the way
down in that way. The trees are gone.
This place was beautiful and lush and
had rainbow eucalyptus trees everywhere.
I mean, I literally do not recognize it
at all. And it's completely cleaned out.
Man,
this was going to be my dream house. And
just to think that a few years later it
was going to be completely demolished,
completely just removed is insane. I
don't know if there's something that's
following me around that just wants to
destroy every single house that I've
lived in, but this is another
destruction that is hitting me super
hard. This house was going to be my
personal dream house. Something that I
wasn't going to film any content. This
is something where I was going to live
and raise a family. I was going to have
dogs running around in the backyard.
This house was going to establish me
here in LA myself as an adult, move into
Malibu once and for all and own real
estate with a beautiful ocean view. I
have so many pictures and videos when I
was touring this place. I saw it many
times looking at the city lights which
would be off this way at night. You can
zoom in and see the coast. All that
would be flickering at night. This
property was absolutely stunning in
every possible way. Okay. Built in the
70s, it had architecture, character to
it, ocean views, of course, a backyard
space for dogs to run, and plenty of
space for me to settle and live and
build a family. So, I decided to put an
offer into this house, and it was super
competitive at the time. I came in a
little bit late, and I didn't think I
was going to get accepted, but
miraculously, they accepted my offer,
and I went into escrow. I was so excited
because this was going to be the first
piece of real estate that I would
purchase that would be truly mine. As
the days went on, I got more and more
excited. We did all the surveys, all the
house checks and inspections and all of
that stuff, and everything was checking
out perfect. I was actually one day away
from moving into this house, setting up
my life, and getting the keys. And on
that very last day, we found a little
bit of an issue with the septic system.
So, my realer says, "Hey, let's wait.
Let's think about it. The seller said,
"Hey, no way." And she cancelled me,
giving the offer to the next buyer and
the house sold quickly after. And I was
devastated. I didn't even know what
happened. I don't even know what septic
systems are and what the issues were or
how hard it was to fix. All I know is
that my dream house got pulled out right
from under me and I was one day away
from getting the keys and moving in. And
I thought it was the worst thing. I
thought this house was it. It was
perfect in every way for myself. And to
look back at moments like that that you
think are terrible, they're not always
terrible. Maybe there was a force or a
reason that was steering me away from
this house. I can't even imagine the
position I would be in if this worked
out if my wishes came true. And
sometimes the best thing that could ever
happen to you is a wish not to come
true. This story of destruction I feel
like is following me. And I'm just
praying this is the end. I'm hoping
there is no more. I hope it doesn't
follow me to my dream house, the team
raw house that you guys know, the big
mansion with the lake. The silver lining
in all of this destruction, guys, is
that all of my failures of trying to
purchase a house here in Malibu and move
in has led me to find the current team
house, which is the most perfect house I
could have ever have dreamed of. It
doesn't have an ocean view, but it does
have a private lake view where you can
jet ski every day in the backyard.
monster trucks. You guys know what I've
been up to and I am so forever thankful
that I found that property. And
sometimes it takes a crazy failure and
loss like this to find the next best
thing. But my heart goes out to everyone
that has been devastated here in the LA
fires. This was one of the most surreal
emotional videos that I've filmed and I
hope my thoughts were organized. I hope
you guys were able to watch through it
and go down memory lane with me and kind
of feel the impact of these structures.
I mean, a home is a home. It's just
brick and wood and all that stuff, but
it's the memories that come attached
with it. And to see just how much
destruction has happened here in a place
that I love and have called home for
many years is absolutely devastating. My
heart goes out to every single one of
you guys that have been affected by the
LA fires. It's really heavy. I really
don't have a whole lot to say, guys. I'm
just feeling kind of emotional at this
point. So, I'm going to just go ahead
and end the video here. I'd appreciate
if you guys could give a like or
subscribe so you don't miss the next
videos. But as of now, I got to peace
out. Bye, guys.
