SEEING SNOW for First Time in 5 YEARS! Crazy British Weather

[Music] [Music] how cold out of 10 are you zero why because zero degrees that's the weird answer babe literally zero today zero degrees we've woken up and there's snow on the roofs other areas in england have got actual snow i was reading on the news earlier that there's a pub somewhere up north it's the highest pub in england and there was an oasis tribute band on and during the show it snowed so much that 60 people had to stay the night in the pub like sleeping on the lounge sleeping on the floor seriously you think you look like i'm making it up you're like i just didn't expect this like a new story to open the vlog but i know it's cool today and yeah so it's obviously in the south we're right by the beach the salty air from the sea means that you get less snow here and it is definitely warmer down south than up north um but we've got a little bit of snow and i haven't seen like frosty windows and like having to defrost your car windscreen and white roofs not even since before we left to travel like it hasn't snowed whilst we've been home in england for years it's normally back in the summer or exactly around christmas time and often it normally snows i'd say more february time would you say yeah and we haven't been back for february in years um and i don't think it rained i don't think it snowed in february before we left so it must be four or five years since we've seen snow so it's just it makes everything look so christmasy um it has melted a bit already because it's later in the day now uh it's only eight a.m i think still but we were up at six and it was really really white outside so annoying what did you do i untangled it because i've been talking i think i've re-tangled it no i've just seen you been playing with that you're actually trying to do something productive here yeah so as you saw from those few shots good in the intro there we get some nice wildlife outside of our window we've got seagulls we've got squirrels running around we've got munchies we have a monkey now we have a new pet monkey i'll show you that in a minute we have magpies and it's so nice i love looking out this window this is let's do a weather check let's do our weather check come on come on england you are oh do you know what this might be a first don't say 10 out of 10 nothing not 10 out of 10. 9.3 no you nine point three i'm no longer going to listen to your weather checks because there's loads of clouds so don't say 9.3 when literally it's a blue clear day and you're like eight loose i don't know i'm in a good mood this week expected that's good that you're in a good mood but the weather isn't at nine point three i'd say it's an eight oh harsh harsh that's converging on rude because look whoever did the sadly put their hand up yeah i i did the sanding why you're talking about that wall aren't you that line that's really annoying there's a oh you can barely see it on camera so we are as you can see hopefully close to finishing our apartment we are going to film a finished i think the next couple of weeks we'll film a finished apartment tour but this is super exciting we're we spent all day yesterday decorating we didn't vlog we put some stuff on our instagram stories so make sure you are following us over on instagram because when we're not posting vlogs we're usually posting on our stories but we now have our living room back to pretty much how it's gonna be other than we're gonna get some artwork for the walls maybe a mirror we where have we got a mirror yeah we bought a mirror we bought a mirror we've been shopping um we still need to arrange some of this stuff let me show you this monkey lamp because we have this is our new little pet there he is and you know what guys he's caused some controversy over on instagram because i put a poll up about 40 of you guys didn't like him i don't know is is he a bit scary is a bit freaky i think he's quite cool and he really really reminds us of the monkeys you see in bali running around the streets and stuff it's kind of like almost life-size replica so today is the exciting part it's about building the tv unit it's about setting up our new tv we have a new tv it's about getting the playstation 5 out of the box and getting this living room to a situation where we can sit down in the evenings put on netflix put on a movie get some snacks and enjoy ourselves in this room which we have not been able to do since we bought this place since we moved in so we are very excited for that and it feels christmassy it feels snowy i think it's time to start introducing some christmas music into these vlogs [Music] can confirm it it's very very cold i'm just loading the car up we're still getting removing some of the last pieces from all the rubbish and garbage from the kitchen oh it's very cold have a look at this take a look at how frosty the car is today this is like actual ice on the windows i mean just look at this this is just so frosty yeah i mean look even here like this is so frosty look just look at this [Music] so my sister is here for one of lucy's midwife appointment hello emily or pee pee'ed up and she's having a little sneak peek just having a nose at her nephew's wardrobe with some of these clothes yeah we can show one thing we're going to show you guys this it's my favorite oh little dinosaur costume costume it's what is it what is it onesie like you're saying who's wearing the day it's not a costume it's not a fancy dress halloween party a little bit late we will show you guys in another vlog all his clothes and the wardrobe and everything like that but we're just uh showing emily a little sneak preview well you know gotta be some family perk yeah exactly [Music] okay so emily has just dropped around some late birthday presents for lucy some like wind chimes uh because we've only just managed to see emily and check out so noisy sorry the christmas decorations scooter yep because we went to bali together and we rode scooters together yeah we've got a vlogging camera and we've got george's guitar all right but this can also represent us like singing together and things angels you do sing together not now please though please no please stop all right if you've been watching the vlogs you'll know the time and effort and money that we've put into this place and we are i want to say we're building the final piece of furniture right now but that's a lie because there's two pieces there's two pieces of rubbing but summer's arriving late december sun's arriving late january so we're gonna have a break for a little while but this is where we're currently at we're currently building our coffee table and good news the tv and the playstation and the sound bar have made it into this room which means step means they're going up soon yes would you like to introduce this is our new dining area this look how beautiful this is we just went pure white um with like a beige kind of soft beige chair and then this lifts up on both sides if we ever make any friends and invite them over for dinner and then they can kind of sit with us with us there and the kitchen is pretty much complete i don't even know if we showed this earlier but like lucy decorated over there and it's good we're good we're still putting some shelving on the wall here and a few shelves here other than that we're good so guys give us like another hour it won't be an hour for the vlog before it'd be like one two three seconds um and then we'll have the tv out we'll have the playstation out lucy may be even going to see a friend this evening so i may get a couple of hours to myself to have a first play of the new spider-man game which is the first game i bought for the playstation that was a q a question for me the other day what's the first game you bought spider-man so it's a time to make a little bit more progress just having the first meal on our new table this is a big moment back on the chicken and rice hype we get these little rice packets that are already flavored and they are so good you just put them in the microwave for days like today we're so busy and building furniture and stuff super easy super convenient i just said on instagram that it's this as you get older it's the small things in life that you appreciate so i'm sat here eating this delicious bowl of food on the new table looking out the window the weather's good it's getting dark already and it's only 4 p.m i'm having a coffee of course and just appreciating life appreciating what we've got and what we have just not taking anything for granted just really really taking a moment to appreciate things life moves so fast but we always try to take a step back here and there and and look around and it's easier to do when things are going good but if you can also do it when things are going bad and look at a bigger picture perspective then that can be really important as well but the next step coffee table's built the next step is the tv is the playstation 5. so i'm going to finish this meal and then on to the next so this is our new coffee table which we are temporarily going to use as a tv stand because we've ordered a tv stand but it isn't here yet so we're going to use this coffee table as a tv stand this is the grand unveiling this is what i've been excited about for a long time our new 50-inch q-led this isn't a sponsor or anything we went out and bought this ourselves chose the model we wanted um but i am going to share it on the blog because i'm pretty excited and i know a lot of you guys are excited about tech and stuff so here we go imagine if i've written as much rip it off and it all falls don't say that i'm going to go really slowly i'm not going to do some crazy unveiling but it is so thin as well here we go nice wow there i am oh look at that man it's massive it is big but remember this this it looks weird now because the coffee table's so short and so fat tv stand is going to come out to about here instead and it's also going to be thinner so it's going to go further back into the room so this is just a temporary table so we can get the tv out but it's by no means how it's gonna look real room perspective yeah okay it looks it kind of looks bigger on camera than in real life yeah it feels right for the ribbon it does feel right i know some of you guys are gonna probably comment and say that is way too big or something you might think it's too small too small who knows okay just gonna give you the side profile because this tv is so thin wow look so so thin it's like a centimeter it's finally time to open this bad boy i um i saw something on twitter the other day that said do you realize all these adults trying to get a playstation getting in on these drops and getting a playstation 5. you've taken that away from a child this christmas who won't be opening a playstation 5 a young child who has dreamt of a new playstation 5. um felt bad for about two seconds no i'm joking i believe stock is improving on the playstation 5 front i believe to be honest if a kid is getting bought a playstation 5 for christmas and that was the intention of the parents that is a very very lucky kid and i'm sure they're gonna get equal equally good gift anyway it's time for that i i wasn't really gonna do like an unboxing but here i am opening the playstation 5 box wow i don't even remember oh i mean i didn't open my ps4 box because the ps4 i had in manila was just lent to me from friends i had two different friends let me ps4s right wow okay i think this console is pretty big okay the actual box itself is huge i believe the console this time around is big the tv is epic by the way we've had some david attenborough our planet on in 4k unbelievable right i don't need all the like the manual and stuff i do need to plug and i do need oh the new controller i've never held one of these in my hands before oh it's beautiful loose nice oh it's white cool okay i'm not i'm not like a gamer i'm not on any side but that's giving me xbox vibes wow it's like totally black and white i've just offended every playstation fan in the world look at that controller wow it feels so good right let's get the console out there she is okay it's huge right and heavy wow get rid of this okay here we go it's in like a bag oh by the way if you don't like gaming and stuff like this i'm very sorry this part of the vlog's not very interesting for you but i know from comments and messages and things that a lot of you are interested wow it's like spaceship [Music] wow look ah loose that's how big it is oh it's a bit ugly be ugly oh it's not gonna go with the new apartment yes white it's black and white did you order black or white no they'd only do one color this this is the design where are you planning on keeping that playstation logo there embossed like cut out that's so nice i don't maybe on the left side can i go behind can't go behind no i need access to like the disk drive and stuff okay i'm going to set this up have a little play log into my account and download my games and stuff like that and get it all set up and i'll check back in with you very very
