Hermann Sondermann's paintings of peasants

Hermann Sondermann was born in Berlin in 1832, and studied there before moving to Antwerp. He then moved to Düsseldorf, where he completed his artistic training under Friedrich Wilhelm von Schadow and Rudolf Jordan.
