What’s up everyone!
I’ve been a long‑time iPhone user, and in today's video we’re spending a week with the OPPO Reno14, unboxing the entire lineup for the OPPO Reno14 and doing some initial comparison tests with the iPhone 16 — not just on camera specs, but the entire user experience.

Thank you to Oppo for sponsoring today's
video. What's up everyone? It's Chsi
here. I'm really excited about today's
video because we got our hands on the
new OPPO Renault 14 series. OPPO sent us
not one, not two, not three, not four,
not five, but three of their different
versions of the OPPO Renault 14 series.
The Oppo Renault 14F, the Oppo Renault
14, and the OPPO Renault 14 Pro.

And this is just the beginning. So today
I'm going to take the OPPL 14 series,
specifically the 14, out to test some of
the new AI features, see how they
actually hold up and in comparison with
the comparable iPhone 16.
The OPPO Renault 14 is technically a
mid-range phone, but Oppo is positioning
it as a true competitor to entry-level
flagships like the iPhone 16 with a
camera system that packs a punch, a
beautiful iridescent glass back, a
massive 6,000 milliamp battery, and a
suite of advanced AI features, including
system level integration with Google
Gemini. This phone is clearly aiming
higher than its price point might
suggest. As a longtime iPhone user, it
makes sense to compare it to the iPhone
16. Not just because they sit in a
similar price range, but because iPhone
still sets the bar for reliable
smartphone experiences. From consistent
image and video quality across different
lighting and lenses to the overall feel
of Apple's ecosystem, the iPhone remains
a benchmark, especially for creators and
everyday users. So, in this video, I'm
not just looking at camera specs. I'm
comparing how the Renel 14 stacks up as
a full experience from display and
battery to design. AI and day-to-day
usability, all through the lens of
someone who's used iPhones for years.
The iPhone 16 features a 48 megapixel
main sensor and a 12 megapixel front
camera, both with autofocus. However, it
doesn't include a dedicated telephoto
lens, so any zoom is done digitally.
Optical image stabilization is built
into the main sensor, helping keep shots
steady across most conditions. On the
OPPO Renault 14, you're getting a 50
megapixel main sensor, 8 megapixel
ultrawide lens with autofocus and a 50
megapixel telephoto lens with 3.5x
optical zoom and optical image
stabilization. Around front, there's
also a 50 megapixel selfie camera with
autofocus, which is a massive jump from
iPhone's front-facing setup. So, in
terms of camera hardware, the Renault 14
clearly brings more lenses and more
megapixels to the table, but specs alone
don't tell the full story. Let's get
into how they actually perform. All
right, so this is the first selfie video
camera test with the OPPO Renault 14,
and the dynamic range is solid. I love
how the exposure adjusted because I have
a bit more lighting now that I'm not in
any more shade. And I'm curious to hear
how the audio sounds. It's not that busy
right now in Chinatown, so I'm hoping
that you can hear me pretty clearly.

When it comes to AI features, the Renel
14 takes a noticeably more aggressive
approach than the iPhone 16. On the
editing side, Apple currently offers
cleanup, but the Renel 14 expands that
with a full suite of AI powered tools
for your photos and post. AI Eraser,
Reflection Remover, Unblur, Recompose,
and Perfect Shot. All designed to help
refine your photos without needing
thirdparty apps. In terms of
productivity, both Apple and Opel offer
smart transcription and translation
tools. The Renel 14 series AI VoiceCribe
pushes further with real-time
transcription, translation, and
summarization for calls across multiple
communications apps and even foreign
language videos where subtitles are
non-existent. With Apple still rolling
out its initial core of Apple
intelligence features, the Reno 14 is
already shipping with system level
integration of Google Gemini. I even
started noticing how useful some of the
AI creative tools are from the Reno 14
on my first test run of the device.

I've been using the Renault 14 on my
commute into the city, and honestly,
it's held up really well. Color OS feels
super intuitive, and I could see
everything clearly, even at just 40%
brightness. The little things stood out
the most, like how deep the blacks are
when the screen wakes and how smooth the
auto brightness is. Never had to adjust
anything, even going from the subway to
sunlight. Then I started using the
Renault 14 Pro. Just like the Renault
14, it features OPPOS's velvet glass
sculpted from a single piece. So, the
back panel flows seamlessly into the
camera module. It's refined and super
lightweight despite packing a massive
6.83 in 1.5K OLED display with 120 Hz
refresh rate. The Reno 14 and 14 Pro
series screens just work. You're also
getting 10 bit color depth and HDR10
plus certification. You'll appreciate
all of that while consuming content on
this device while on the go. And even
with a bigger display, the flat sides
and contoured edges give it a
comfortable grip.
So, I've been a fan of Color OS ever
since I started using the Oppo Find and
Five. There isn't anything specific that
makes it so unique outside of the fact
that it's easy to use and understand as
an iPhone user and it's very intuitive.
It's not the most beautiful UI, but it
is really easy to use. There isn't a
massive learning curve, and I find that
it's not too glitchy. However, there are
a few features that Color OS 15 bring to
the table that have been very convenient
and have stood out to me. On this 100°
day, I decided to spend the afternoon at
a cafe near Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn,
just taking a breather, catching up on a
few emails, and testing out the OPPO
Reno 14 in a realworld setting. I've got
to say the AI features on this phone
have been surprisingly useful. As soon
as I open the Gmail app, Bruno 14
automatically suggested AI write and AI
summary. It scans the page for context
and lets me choose a tone of voice for
responses. Kind of like having a curated
chat GBT built right into your email
app. And the battery massive for each
Reno 14 phone. 6,000 milliamps packed
into the Renault 14 and 14F and 6200
milliamps for the 14 Pro. with each
phone being under 8 mm thick, not
compromising sleekness. And earlier
today, I charged the Renel 14 Pro from
12% to 93% in less than 45 minutes. I
absolutely love the attention to detail
the Renel 14 devices provide, like the
satisfying super vou flash charge
animation you see when you plug it into
the Opel Renault 14 series. This one
with the glowing ring and little stars
floating inside like it's charging with
cosmic energy. I also enjoy my
experience with Sidebar. I pinned a few
of my go-to tools there. Whether I'm
switching between apps or opening up AI
features, it's been super convenient.
The Renault 14F brings the fun. You
still get that same iridescent mermaid
design language across the series, flat
sides, unoured edges, but the 14F
punches it up with bold colorways like
opal blue, gussy pink, and luminous
green. It's ultras slim at 7.69 mm,
IP66, 68, and IP69 rated. And the 6.57
inch 120 Hz display is practically
bezelless, bright, immersive, and
responsive, including glove mode and
splash touch capabilities. Powered by
the Snapdragon 6 Gen1 chip, it supports
AI photography, 4K video, and a bunch of
other AI features shared across the
Renault 14 series line. And not to
forget automatic color temperature
adjustment, making it just as smart as
it is stylish.

Honestly, my favorite part, how familiar
the Renault 14 design felt. It really
reminded me of my iPhone. I've loved
this generation of iPhone and seeing
Opel bring that elegance with a fun
iridescent twist. And while I was just
using it day-to-day, I stumbled upon new
AI and productivity features that just
worked. I want to leave you all on this
note. I didn't run into too many
glitches. The UI is polished and it's
super intuitive. So, if you're curious,
you should be. Stick around. In a few
weeks, I'm heading to Croatia and I'll
be taking this phone on a full week of
real world tests. Phones should be fun,
but also powerful. If you're excited
about the beautiful design plus nextG
AI, hit that like button and make sure
you're subscribed so you don't miss the
trip to Croatia. Thank you again to Opel
for sponsoring today's video. Peace.
