We then head to Parksville, renowned for its expansive sandy beaches and the annual Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition. This 5½-week festival, held from mid-July to late August, features master sculptors from around the world crafting intricate sand sculptures based on a unique theme each year. ​ Continuing our Vancouver Island road trip, we visit Qualicum Bay, a serene spot known for its coastal beauty and recreational opportunities.
