I am a retired RCMP Officer living in a rural setting in Nova Scotia, Canada. I spend my time enjoying nature and feeding my furry friends, the raccoons. I also feed the deer in the winter months and many varieties of birds. I have two rescue cats named Connor and Charlotte.

We got a little baby there on the stairs. Yes. I don't know who mama is. Oh there's mama
and the little baby. Did you get your baby with you? Huh? Are you looking after your baby?
What a good girl. Yes you are. There's two of them and they must belong to another one.
But the two of them are out here last night eating off the picnic table. Look at that.
I filled all that up at supper time and it's gone again. Here's the little fella coming.
There he is. Look at that little baby. Look at the little baby. Isn't he cute?
Isn't he? Yes. Now where's he going? Okay well let me get some hot dogs here ready.
And you're all laid out are you?
Okay I'll just put this up here. There we go. I coaxed mama and the baby to come up here.
He almost hit. Okay we are recording. You get Connor. Get. Go on. Get. He's right at the door.
You're watching like a hawk. I know. I got fresh hot dogs. All right. Okay come on.
Fresh cold water. You guys are eating out of my feeders again. Aren't you? Yes you were.
Here. Go get it. Yes I know you want one. You're used to it. You're used to me.
Here Woody. Here you go. Here Woody. I don't think the baby wants one. They were both eating
on the picnic table last night. The two of them. So I put up a video this afternoon
of them doing that. Oh yeah he's sticking close to mama. She won't let him have a hot dog.
I tried giving him one there before and she took it from him. She wants it on mom's milk.
But do you notice how fat the babies are? I was watching the news tonight and
the governor of Maine is visiting Halifax and she was in New Brunswick yesterday
and she was promoting tourism between the Maritime Provinces in Maine and
the Maine people are suffering especially the ones with the V&Bs and
Old Orchard Beach because the Canadians aren't going down.
They're not crossing the border because of this terror situation.
The president's got to realize that he's hurting not only us but he's hurting his own people.
So I wish he'd come to his senses and drop this stupid thing. We never had any
issues with the United States for 150 years until this year.
And it's not the American people. It's the administration that's causing all the trouble.
And I was kind of hoping that Paulieb would get in as our prime minister but we have
Carney. I don't think he's going to be able to do any good.
He's not a politician. He's a banker.
Anyway, enough about that. It's foolishness is what it is. I wish that little fella would come out.
Here, you can take that. Look, I had to change the water here three times.
Oh, listen to the baby shoot now. The baby's staying up for himself. There's another raccoon
there wanting to get up. Yeah, throw that down there. Yeah, that got that other raccoon out of
the way. There. We only got one, two, one, two, three, four, five, six, including the baby.
But you know what? It was hot today but it's cooled off now.
It was in the well in the high 80s in the house and now it's 78 degrees right now and it's cool
out here. Nice and cool. Come here, baby. Come on. Go get it. Here. You got it? Did you get it?
I wonder if I put a hot dog down beside him. He's on the top stair there. He won't come past her.
I wonder if he would eat it. Last year, it took a couple of weeks before they started eating hot
dogs. I got one on this step. That rosy boy, she's some mouthy. I'll just keep him going over here.
There you go. I wonder if I could give the little one a hot dog.
Could she eat it? Mama, can I get the baby a hot dog?
Here. He's just not sure what to do with it.
No, he didn't want it. Me coming over there just moving him down further.
I want to get some more shots of him.
I got to fill up the dry food too. There's a little fella beside mama. He's a baby.
He's just a baby, isn't he? He's just a baby. Yes, he was. You got the little white tips in the ears
too. He's darker than her. I got to get them feeders in because these fellas are poking at it.
Come on. You coming up? Oh, we got one coming into the woods. You coming up? Diner's open.
There's the baby there. The baby wouldn't eat the hot dog. Are you coming? Come on.
Come on, come on, come on. Hurry up. Look at that little baby. Look at that little baby face.
Going down to mama? He says, I'm going where she's going to protect me.
Yes. You going to go to the den? Are you? Where's your den at? Look, staying right close to her.
She's staying right underneath her. God love her.
Okay, they're going that way to the den. Are you coming up for some hot dogs?
You coming up? Come on. Oh, well. Oh, she bros you come up this side, didn't you?
All right. You want a hot dog? Here, look. You want a cookie?
I got cookies. Huh? Are you going to have a drink of water? Okay.
That was cute, the little one there running with the mama. How do I loosen this here?
Oh, there we go. He's just coming so much of the time. I'll throw a hot dog down to him.
Oh, he got it. Here, have another one. Here, have another one. Okay, I want to put some cookies out
and then we'll take a break. I didn't find those mosquito cell things. I don't know where I put
them. Here. You want a cookie? Do you? Right in the water with it. The other little fella, he's
eating his hot dogs. He's going to throw a couple of cookies at him.
Well, that didn't go very good. Right in the bushes. Another one in the bushes. They ever roll?
There. You get that one. Pull it together. There we go. Put the rest of these out for you fellas.
There. I got to get some dry food.
Can't keep ahead of the dry food.
Ready for some dry food? These 50 tables coming handy. The big one we got from Heather,
a friend of Heather over in the Truro area.
Angie bought two more online, but they're for bird feeders, but they work.
I don't spill stuff everywhere. There you go. Look at that. Lots of cookies.
The other fella in the woods, he left with his. All right, I'll dump the rest of this on that.
There. There you go, guys. Not very many tonight. You think they'd be here with the cold weather?
Yeah, it's down to, uh, oh, what's it say here anyway? 60, around 65. Yeah, she's dropping.
I'll just check my watch here. Come on, you. The button I got to push here.
There we go. Yeah. 60 degrees Celsius. All right. Next time I'll come out,
we'll have to wear something warmer. What are you guys doing? I got to go down and feed Sylvie.
She still don't come out. There. I think I can turn this fan off.
Yeah, it's getting kind of cool in the house here. Better than it was yesterday.
And there's Charlotte. What? I fed you guys. I fed both of you. Yes, I did.
Don't you be lying and say I didn't. He tells lies like you wouldn't believe.
Yeah, he'll go to Angie and tell her that he, he didn't get no treats and
she'll give him a treat. Then he'll come to me and says, Angie wouldn't give me a treat.
You hungry? Are you? Are you hungry? Of course you are. I got your dishes all washed.
Yeah. Okay. We'll say goodnight then for now. If we get the other two babies back,
I'll do another film. Anyway, we'll talk to you later.
