So today we are at the Burj Al Arab Hotel.
I think I pronounced that correctly.
I hope I did. The only seven star hotel in the world.
Supposed to be the best. It's amazing.
Can't begin to describe it.
And we are here at Damani Jewelry Store,
which on first appearance looks like a very modest jewelry store.
But they actually provide the jewels
for the royal families, for the super VVIPs.
And they have some pieces that I've never seen before.
You guys have never seen before.
Ultra luxury.
Let's go check it out. Ready?
Hi. Welcome.
Welcome. Thank you.
Thank you. Thank you.
Welcome. I'm at Damani.
Thank you so much. First of all, Michael, you've been here.
We are the Damani family.
We are first diamond company in the Middle East.
My father started the business in 1969.
First diamond company in the Middle East.
Technically, yes. And he moved to Dubai late 80s.
I came to Dubai early 90s.
We were gem and diamond dealers.
But where we are today, it's like end to end,
mind to finger from loose gems and diamonds to fine jewelry as you see it.
Second generation with already a third generation now joining.
So it's a pleasure to be in Dubai and UAE.
Great ecosystem. Fantastic.
Fantastic.
And rumor has it that you have some of the finest jewels in the world.
You supply royal families and VVIP, et cetera, et cetera.
Damani family always has been a choice
of jeweler to very, very important people around the world.
My father, he recently passed away.
He always said you should be always like a consultant to your customer.
So even whenever they were looking for gems and diamonds, I'm talking 30,
40 years ago when it was not so much social media or Internet.
He was like a consultant.
He said, oh, this stone is good.
You should buy this or that.
And that have created what we are today
with unique piece of fine gems and diamonds.
We are humbled to have that.
That's amazing. Well, we can't wait to see some.
Such a pleasure.
And also I have Drishti, my daughter.
Hi Drishti, nice to meet you, third generation.
Third generation in marketing,
digital media and what future of Damani is certainly coming
through the new entrepreneurs like her.
Amazing. Amazing.
Very nice to meet you.
And without further ado, come, please check it out.
Thank you. Thank you.
Where should we start?
We just created and curated here a variety of gems.
So you will see today from fine gems,
diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires, natural pearls, some important things.
How if you go to an important royal or important person, what you gift them.
So it's a very interesting mix.
So wherever you just it's all yours.
I like that. Gift them, right?
So here I can start.
This is a beautiful piece we are very proud of.
It's a triology of hearts.
It's a natural, fancy pink diamond
with a natural vivid yellow diamond and a fancy green diamond.
And uniqueness to have all these three
pieces in a piece, that's a beautiful thing.
A lady, when she wears for an occasion, it's really one of a kind.
And all pieces you see, they're all wearable jewelry.
We at Damani.
Are you comfortable if I ask you the prices of these pieces?
Please, please. Perfectly fine.
So how much is this beautiful necklace?
So this necklace comes with earring in the ring.
And all pieces together is one point eight million dollars.
When we say mind to finger,
we are actually giving the best value to the customer in the terms of gems itself.
So if you really see a fancy pink, vivid yellow and green diamonds,
we are actually like a custodian for their clients to give them the best
products at the best value and they enjoy it.
Amazing.
Don't often see a fancy green.
That's a very, very rare diamond.
And all pieces come with global certification like GIA.
So the customers from around the world who come here,
they can buy things, go back home and they have a global certificate with stand on.
Wonderful.
This is something I've never seen before.
What are we looking at? This is something from a region.
This is a natural pearl from Bahrain.
One of a very, very old pieces comes with the earring.
This is like a baroque shaped from.
May I touch it? Please go ahead.
Please go ahead.
Wow, that's a pearl.
I've never seen anything like that.
Adam, have you ever seen anything like that?
That's incredible. I've never seen that shape before.
Wow. This is quite special.
I wouldn't even hazard a guess as to its value.
But interestingly, I can share with you.
It looks very, very unique.
And it is. It's priced at eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
And these pieces are all unique.
There's nothing duplicated.
And we'll not do it. We'll not have it.
So they can wear it and enjoy that they'll be the only one wearing it.
That's very nice. Very nice.
Wow. Wow.
Let's move on.
Ruby. This piece, we are really, really proud of.
This is a very old piece, not new.
At least 30 years old because, you know,
it's been with the family since that time.
Burmese ruby, 150 carat total unheated.
And we create... Very rare to be unheated.
This is something when I started my career those days.
And this piece, we keep it with pride because something nice to show how
Mother Earth can create large size gems like these pieces.
And the value of this?
This is altogether two and a half million dollars.
Two and a half million dollars.
Beautiful, though. Beautiful.
And very rare. Exactly.
That's where we try to be unique with rarity.
Either you buy a diamond or a pearl or a ruby.
When you wear a Damani piece, it's a unique.
And I feel customers who are buying these
products, they want to have that pleasure when they wear it.
Maybe they're not saying to people, they're not telling how much it is,
but when they wear it, they're very proud owners.
And this is where we enjoy as a family that we've been able to give fine pieces
on the necks of the most amazing people in the world.
And there's a Damani associated.
So that's a unique moment. We feel very proud.
You must feel very proud. Well done.
Well done. We can move on.
And other jewelry is what you see all around the store.
Certainly we have day to day classic products, which are.
But what we are showcasing you are one of a kind for you as we know you were
coming to really try to show something special and unique.
Our audience will love this.
These are enormous emeralds.
All cut from one stone, one large, large emerald.
And the interesting idea when we create
pieces is we already know what will be the final jewelry.
So when we say mind to finger, we actually can imagine, oh,
it can be an earring and a necklace and a piece like that.
So we cut accordingly.
So when these pieces were cut, was already originated in the mind for a set like this.
So altogether, two hundred and forty carats
of fine quality emeralds in one piece of necklace.
And my next question is, how much is it?
This is four million dollars.
Four million dollars.
I actually thought it might be more than that.
But these are beautiful.
They're they're not like we used to seeing.
We've seen many emeralds.
These are very translucent.
Yeah, they're very, very clear.
Beautiful.
Obviously, with diamonds, you don't want inclusions.
Right.
Whereas with these, you can see the sort of internal structure of the stone.
That's how natural gemstones are.
And when the gemstones are natural and untreated, you will see the flaws.
The beauty of natural gemstone other than diamond is about flaws.
Diamond, you want to go more cleaner.
But natural gemstone, this is as clean as you can get or a little more.
But when you go to sizes like this, it's very difficult to get very clean.
So you will see those inclusions.
So we've seen many that I think have been treated.
Right. And when you see an untreated stone, it's completely different.
It's alive.
It makes the other ones kind of look synthetic.
Yeah, it does. It really, really does.
Costume jewelry. Yeah, it really does.
Exactly. You pointed to Michael perfectly.
Well, it feels like it's talking to you.
You're touching it.
You're enjoying the emotion.
They're beautiful.
What is this?
That's a one of a kind emerald.
It's a old, very, very old Colombian emerald.
And it's a Mughal timepiece.
So at least 150, 200 years old Colombian emerald.
And if you see the carving, which is done in Arabic calligraphy,
this is a very old piece, very old piece.
This is crazy.
This is less than 200 carats of natural Colombian emerald, non-treated.
And if you see... Diamond, right?
Yeah. And this was cut maybe like a few hundred years ago.
This old diamond, then they want to just inlaid.
So what is the price of this?
This is one of the most exclusive pieces we have.
This is about seven million dollars.
Seven million dollars?
Well,
with the rarity and history.
If you saw somebody wearing that, Adam, what would you think?
Not seven million dollars. No, no.
I've never seen a stone that's been like etched like that.
You know, kind of carved.
All these used to manual cutting, right?
Really?
We don't even imagine how they were
cutting this thing, like a small wheels of hand and the emerald will be
on a small manual wheel, they will cut it and they'll try to shape it
because there were no machines. Yeah.
So that's why all those edges you see and etched, it's by hand carving.
So that's how it is.
This is the ultimate understated piece, right?
I mean, you wear that and you...
Wow. I mean, crazy.
Seven million dollars. Yeah.
Oh, look who showed up.
Oh, no.
Oh, no. Should we let him in?
I don't know. What do you think?
Oh, why not?
Dun, dun, dun, dun. You follow me everywhere.
I'm a Damani, Mike.
We are seeing some of the most spectacular jewels ever.
So Armoured makes jewelry for the royal
families, for very, very special, influential people.
And let me show you one piece. OK.
You have one favorite?
I want you to guess the price.
No, I just want you to take a look at this.
See if you even have a clue what it is.
So this one is a full emerald stone and carved into.
Yeah, it's a Mughal.
It's a Mughal, 200 years old, Mughal emerald Colombian.
OK.
Color is nice.
Yeah, very, very. Lift it up, please.
It's very, very transparent. Wow.
So what do you think the price tag is on that, Mr. Gabauer?
It's a vintage piece.
It is.
Suspense.
From which year?
1800s.
You were right when you guessed it?
No, no, I didn't.
I didn't guess, but how did I have guessed?
I looked at it like this.
If I saw somebody wearing that
on the street, in a party, anywhere, I think that's interesting.
But from the other side, from here, it's OK.
It's a little bit understatement, but from the other side.
Yeah, this here, this side.
Wow.
So how much?
Three million.
I think, with understatement, it's five, seven million dollars.
Seven million dollars.
And it comes with a certificate of rarity and stuff like that.
Less than 200 carat Colombian emerald, no treater.
I have never seen that someone did a setting inside of this.
It's very, very old.
Because also the stone is amazing.
So you've missed a few pieces.
Yeah, that's because you weren't here.
So we're just going to carry on.
Yes, yes.
And enjoy these wonderful pieces.
Like you saw the first piece, which is 250 carat of set, comes out from one stone.
Then you have less than 200 carat Colombian emeralds, you know, very, very old.
This is something which is pretty newer,
but untreated 60 carat stone, which I feel the color and luster is so beautiful.
Very, very beautiful.
And all three are different shades, but you love them all.
This one is less expensive, I'm assuming.
This is less expensive.
This is 2.2 million dollars.
Mother Nature created a stone.
Our family, the Damani family is curating it and passing it on to the consumers
we're looking for. So everything what you see here, we keep it fair.
Very eloquently put.
That was beautiful.
And this one from which mine is it?
Colombian.
It's also Colombian.
Different shades. You see the old Colombian.
This is really, really old.
Incredible.
Which color you like more, the darker one or the brighter one?
That's a great question.
I like the look of this, but I like the rarity of this.
Would I wear either?
No, because it wouldn't suit me, but they are beautiful.
They are absolutely beautiful.
Now, the idea of a vintage piece.
This is just not for everyone.
It's the same like vintage watches.
But for me, this piece is very special, very special.
The color is exceptional.
And rumor has it you have some more.
Oh, yeah, please have a seat.
And I think I can show you something.
Please, please. Something very interesting.
Mike, please.
What is this?
We'll get to that.
We'll get to that. All right.
Let's please.
OK, so it'll be my pleasure to show you both some very, very unique diamonds.
Both are unique on its own.
Both 70 carat each and one is white, one is intense yellow.
We create pieces for wedding events and occasions.
Everything what you see, the variability is there.
Many times people think all jewelry pieces are for investment only.
And maybe somebody buys and locks in the safe.
No, pieces of this size.
This is how it turns in a neck.
Imagine a bride or a bride's mother or a sister wedding in an event.
And that's why we are known as the money for, you know, people come to the money
because they know we curate the best jewelry.
We are proud UAE brand, all the manufacturing based in Italy.
So we are really competing with global brands of the world.
But there's one difference that everything is bespoke.
Everything is one of a kind.
And we involve the customers in design process.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
There is a Dubai cut for diamonds exclusive to you.
Exactly. What is that?
So Dubai cut is a unique diamond, which is a diamond of Dubai.
It's a ninety nine facet diamond which symbolize the holy name of Allah in Quran.
At the same time, it's a unique diamond of Dubai for gifting memorabilia.
If you're coming to Dubai, as you say, it's a long radiant, unbelievable luster.
It is owned by DMCC, the patents.
And we are the exclusive right holders of it.
So we manufacture, cut and sell through our stores based in Dubai.
So if you want to buy Dubai cut diamond, you have to come to the money in Dubai.
At the money, you will have pieces that entry level pieces,
a classic tennis bracelet, solitary, twelve, twenty, thirty thousand dollars.
And at the same time, like you rightly said,
when you are seeing from outside, you'll not imagine you can see pieces like that.
Third generation and family have always kept it low key.
We just want customers to enjoy.
And I have something very special.
This is a red diamond.
But I can tell you your diamond is better than this.
I don't say to many people, but your fancy red is better than my fancy red.
How do you know about my fancy red?
Because when I knew about, oh,
there is the guy who has a round fancy red and I have a beautiful oval fancy red.
But I know round is rarer.
And I said, oh, my God, now this is one thing I have to give it to him.
So I'm so happy to meet you,
which we show with very proud of a red diamond.
And your diamond is actually, I can say, better than ours.
So I give it to you for that.
Thank you.
This one is how big?
This is less than a carat.
And for price point, understand this is one point eight million dollars.
One carat diamonds, red diamonds can go easily up to five million dollars today.
Stone like yours, they don't come much often.
Anyway, red diamonds are rare.
They are less than 100 diamonds in the world.
But a round one carat is very difficult.
And I'm sure that since you own it, you just enjoy wearing it.
And who knows?
It's in the bank.
It's in the bank vault.
I was going to wear it to Dubai.
I wish I had. Yeah, because it's very safe here.
They can wear fine jewelry pieces, go in the events and parties.
And we really like to thank the rulers of the country.
They have made the ecosystem so awesome for everybody to enjoy.
The rest of the world needs to take a lesson on how to keep their communities
and their citizens safe, because I can go anywhere here.
I feel amazing.
There's no intimidation.
You know, you're not worried about anything.
Whereas in the States, Europe, not so good.
I wish they would take your lesson.
Did you see the details?
I did. All the different cuts in one place.
And most unique thing I can mention to you,
we do all diamond back studded and we say it's generation to generation.
So if a mother had worn it, it touched her skin.
So when they give to next generation,
they know the diamond, only she knows the diamond behind the piece also.
So she feels and the daughter can feel
that emotion that my mother touched this diamond.
So all of the pieces have diamonds at the back, which only the wearer will know ever.
Beautiful. And how much is this piece?
So both of these pieces are six million dollars each.
They're both spectacular.
Absolutely.
The heart shape cut in the middle.
It's a wonderful detail.
Let that lady enjoy it with her husband, her son and brothers.
When they see them wearing, they will be struck with awe.
And that memory will stay with them forever.
And that's what we we are happy and blessed to be part of that process.
Beautiful way of thinking about it.
That's a really beautiful way of thinking about it.
I can't take my eyes off this.
It's like an armory.
So, Michael, you know, we started, we call it important gifting or royal gifting.
Imagine if you're meeting somebody important who technically has everything.
So this is how we created this unique gift
collection, which are pieces one of a kind from the cultural angle.
So this is a diamond gold emerald encrusted sword.
Whoa, that's heavy.
Which is nearly 300 carats of Colombian
emeralds and 100 carats of diamond gold. A kilo of gold.
And then it's a it's a blade where, you know, you give to somebody,
they keep in their display, they keep in their room, office.
Unbelievable.
Impressive. I'm going to pass it to you here.
What do you think?
Yeah, wow.
You didn't expect that, did you? Heavy.
Very heavy.
So this would be a gift.
You're going to see a royal.
Yeah, they will appreciate.
And then you give it and you say, I don't think you have one of these.
You don't have to say that.
You don't have to say that. I know, I'm joking.
But when you give them, they will understand your emotion,
that you are really bringing a respect of the culture of something very unique
as though as the people you're meeting and they will appreciate more.
And that's where when we started this many,
many years ago and you have some other interesting pieces.
The challenge was there was actually
occasion we have to go to meet somebody and you can't imagine what to gift them.
And that's how we started this collection with the giftings.
So I like this. Keep this in mind.
Mark gives the most amazing gifts.
This is a very, very generous man.
I actually have to.
You will be also.
Look what I did. Say thank you.
So you know what my last name is, right?
I like this. Eighteen carat gold with diamonds.
It's just for fun.
And, you know, it opens up here.
Oh, wow. This is incredible.
What do you think?
Ah, OK. It's fun, right?
Yeah. How much is it?
This is one hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
Oh, that's a great gifting.
That gifting window.
This is four hundred thousand.
Four hundred thousand gifting window.
Yeah, yeah.
So I don't like this one.
I like this one.
This is a gifting window for only twenty
thousand dollars with a diamond and gold encrusted shaving brush.
Too inexpensive.
You just put a Gillette blade in here.
Just you see that, you know, functionality is most important.
So blade is the same blade you blade every day.
If you can see that and you just use it.
So it turns out Gillette were lying.
It isn't the best a man can get.
This is insane.
Look, diamonds on the shaving brush.
This is without Mother of Pearl.
You know, you want different tastes.
How much is this? Twenty thousand dollars for this.
Oh, for the pair. That's not bad, right?
That's not bad.
So if you gave somebody a very important one of these,
would they be insulted because it's only twenty thousand?
No, because the good thing is it's someone who can't value things.
Right, right.
This is about the emotion of a gift.
It's not a prize.
They can call and check how much is this price.
They will feel that you give something very
personal, which is something out of the box thinking.
It's amazing, though, really out of the box.
Amazing.
And a walking stick.
Oh, yeah.
Walking stick. I collect walking sticks.
You do?
OK, maybe you'll be leaving with a walking stick.
So this is with the 400 carat emerald.
Do you have one of those in your collection?
Like I said, walking into the store from the outside, I think it's very nice.
Didn't expect there's a 400 carat emerald in a walking stick.
And now, as you collect walking sticks.
Go on, Mark. Give us a twirl.
Wow.
So so again, it's about power, right?
When you're walking, you know, you're holding that stone.
That's an idea of this piece.
This you see the handcraft.
From here, the engraving with the gold.
Diamond. Is it diamond?
No, it's sapphire, I think.
Or some small diamonds. Sapphire.
And then here is a 60 carat yellow sapphire.
And again, like not to mention, but all are in the range of less than 60, 70 thousand dollars.
Even this one? Yeah.
This is less than a hundred thousand dollars.
We mix.
We take two.
We mix affordability and usage together so you can just buy it and enjoy it.
Affordability.
Yeah, this is this would be something maybe
for my family if they want to make a gift, maybe.
Yeah, my sister is here.
She can write it down.
I would prefer this one.
You would? May I see?
This is a yellow sapphire, a natural yellow sapphire.
How do I look? Suits you.
400 carat
emerald in a walking stick.
That's very substantial.
Yeah, you know, that's what gives you some power.
You enjoy it.
And here, you know, you touch the stone.
You know how in this region people want to connect the power of stones.
So it's all touching your fingers.
You're walking around.
Is it heavy?
And it doubles up as a weapon.
Oh, I don't have to say that.
No, this is amazing.
So
you collect walking sticks.
That's interesting.
The things one finds out.
So see, from from a red diamond, which yours is better,
to a walking stick, which Mark collects, Damani has everything.
So I'm happy and delighted.
We are in good business.
Beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
Thank you so much.
Well, this has been incredible.
So I can't thank you enough.
If you're ever in Dubai, you've got to go to one of the Damani stores.
How many do you have?
Fifteen. Fifteen stores.
And you'll see some things that you'll never see anywhere else.
So, again, thank you.
Thank you.
You know what to do. Hit the like button.
Hit the subscribe, there, subscribe, it's my new teeth.
Subscribe button.
Follow this guy.
All Damani's information will be in the description.
And with that, I'm saying cheerio and we're in it to win it.
I want that. Mark.
