Here's our rules. But he got to the blue corner with head trainer Shane McGagan. Wearing the blue trunks, he officially weighed in 135 pounds. In 2012, he captured Olympic gold, where he then transitioned to the professional ranks, holding an outstanding record. 23 bouts, 20 victories, including 16. From England and the United Kingdom, the two-time world championship challenger, here is Cool Hand. First, he got to the red corner, wearing gold with white, with the 2019 trainer of the year, Eddie Reynoso, and father, Henry Garcia. Wearing gold, he scaled in at 135 pounds. This unblemished rising star enters the final elevator, 20 bouts, 20 victories, no defeats, including 17 huge wins. The fighting pride of Victorville, California, the undefeated king of the action, Lawrence Cohen. All right, gentlemen, obey my commands, protect yourselves, understood? Touch them up, that's the luck of both of you. Upstairs, Ryan Garcia has the following and star done in recent decades, but he has to... Ryan Garcia has to prove that he can break... Under 78 seconds, can Ryan Garcia make... Wow, it's a pretty useful weapon for him and most of his friends. Ryan Garcia is the key for Campbell. He loves throwing, so to speak. And with a left hand, is looking to tie that shot. Oh, a straight right hand! But right now, that was a little trip up of the feet, and you're going to see a lot more of that whenever you see a southpaw in orthodox. It's instinctive. We thought we saw a Eurostep there. Campbell not biting at the feints of Garcia. I don't want you to throw yourself, Ryan, because I want to hunt you with my left hand. Hard to see these short little punches, but right here, check hook by Luke Campbell. That caught the attention that Ryan Garcia dominated. Short little one-inch punch by Luke Campbell. Want to secure those early knockouts, but you don't know how your fighter's going to fare when he gets taken. I've never heard a fighter, especially a young fighter, says that he prefers southpaws. Garcia heating up in the corner. Campbell. You see Campbell up on his toes. Garcia, much more flat-footed. Seems like he wants to... Oh, left hand sends the kid down! What must be going through Ryan Garcia's mind, he's never been in trouble. Much overhead left. You got to stay calm there, though, if you're Ryan Garcia. Don't get close. Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! England is celebrating right now. Luke Campbell with a knockdown in round two. Hey, man, you got to spin out, man. And it was that jab downstairs that brought the hand, the right hand down of Ryan Garcia and he took that punch well. He got up and reacted. Right on the money, right on the bite. The flash got caught by a flash knockdown, but there was nothing flash about that. Has Garcia been overhyped? This is when he can attack when he's on the ropes, and that's what he does. This crowd's still buzzing. This is Mexican-American. So far, I love the way Ryan Garcia reacted to that knockdown. We never know how we're going to react as fighters. Getting aggressive. He needs to watch out for a right hook. And he can tee off, and that's what he does. Knockdown, and now he won this third round with the aggressive knockdown. Luke Campbell has shown us something about Ryan Garcia that we didn't know, which is he's vulnerable. And Gareth Davies joining us from England. You know, one of the questions I had coming in was how would Luke Campbell look? Second day of 2021. Thanks to everyone joining us. In this past, I would feel stronger, like the body reset and rejuvenated. Body shot goes Luke. And now he's starting to sit down on punches. Garcia looking for a right hand now. He sees that the left hook wasn't landing. Now looking to get another weapon against the left-hander. He's been here before. He's been on this stage before. Beautiful arm work. Cool hand Luke at his best. Not pivoting away too far. Ducking under that left hook. Now moving away, and then backing up Ryan Garcia. Garcia's throwing some big shots. I think they're both looking confident. Ryan Garcia's just weak. He gets another world title shot. That's the reason, because he has so fast hands. His hands are so fast, he doesn't need a shot. Just as I say that, with Garcia's numbers under anyone else. Heavy flurry in a while. Good punch right there by Garcia. Strength, power, and speed. Ooh, and there's a nice little flurry for Campbell. This is a good right. Oh, he's on top of the left hook right at the bell. And in it goes. It's a snappy left hook. The ropes may have kept him up. May have kept him up. Right on the tempo. And that's that instinctive left hook that Ryan Garcia's known for. Now it's time for Campbell. Texas, and this has become an old Western shoot. Ryan Garcia knows he's got Campbell a little bit weakened here. He's letting his hands go. He's rising up. Campbell's going to get your composure. Find your left and move. It's all basically code for survival. We all, guns and glory, though, we saw earlier. Good cross, a right cross. And his strength. Watching him throughout this. He's invested in this jab right now. Not staying in front, of course. There's that check hook right there. And there's a second time this round Garcia tried to time Campbell coming in. Left hook. And this is not where Campbell wants to be. Oh, and he's got a straight right. How are you feeling? I'm good. You're younger, Ryan. Hey, you're a lot younger. It's all about Sergio Mora. If you're just joining us, Luke Campbell, not Ryan Garcia. Down, Garcia, though. Ryan Garcia's been in control and won every round, except with a lot of pressure on Luke Campbell. Landed a lot of big shots. Very successful the first half of this fight. And that resilience, Chris, comes from that one mean pretty boy in Ryan Garcia. I see Ryan Garcia winning rounds, except for that. And also saying to Ryan Garcia, you're younger. And he goes down! And now Kempkins knocked out Oscar De La Hoya with a vicious body shot. That was the question asked before the fight. What's the answer? He is all substance. From Ryan Garcia. Meet the future of boxing. It's Ryan Garcia. And there's that left hook. Ladies and gentlemen, from the American Airline Center in Dallas, Texas, a kingdom has been conquered. The official time comes to you. 158, round number 7. The new WBC interim lightweight champion of the world!
