These three parcels I've been waiting all week and they have finally arrived.
So I think I'm going to start this week's vlog with the unboxing of the parcels.
Because what's in the parcel is an important piece of puzzle for the production of this vlog.
Here we go. Brand new camera, brand new lens, and also a battery pack.
What I'm using for filming right now is the Sony ZV-1M2, which is the footage you're currently
seeing. I do think it's a very good compact camera. However, because most of my filming
is done indoors and it's not always a great bright day outside, I do feel like the camera
underperforms in relatively dim lighting. Although I do like the footage a lot better than
when I was filming with my phone, I do feel like I'm slowly outgrowing it.
Hence why this upgrade. The camera I got is now the Sony A7C2, which is a full frame camera. So
it is quite a big leap. And the lens I chose to go with the camera is the Sony G Master 1.4 24
millimeter. It is a prime lens, so I will lose the zoom. So I will be zooming with my feet,
I suppose. Given I'm filming indoors with static scene most of the time, I think I might be able
to make that work. I have been doing some homework with the new camera, trying to work out the best
settings to use, how to achieve that very fresh, clean, vivid, while soft look. Here is what comes
in the camera. There is a Sony shoulder strap. The body of the camera, it is still a very compact
full frame camera. I've chosen the silver one, it also comes in black, but I do find silver more
vintage to retro looking. So that's what I prefer. Definitely feels a lot heavier than the Sony ZV-1
and 2. Here are all the buttons at the back. Also a flip screen. You can also flip 360 degrees this
way. And the last thing that comes in the camera packaging is the battery. It is a larger battery,
so it should give us more filming life. Here is what's in the box of the lens. A manual.
It does come with a protection case. The case has a handle too. Very well packaged. The body of the
lens and also a shoulder strap in the ring that goes on the lens. I did make the purchase during
the Sony end of financial year sale period. So it came with a spare battery, which I do think is very
necessary. So I can always keep both of them charged and that should give me enough filming time.
Here we go. This is what I just received. Lens bag, strap for the lens bag, lens, camera body,
strap for the camera and two battery packs. I'm very, very excited to see how the footage
looks and difference between the two cameras. What I have to do now is setting the new camera
up for the first time, have the two batteries fully charged and then we can start shooting.
The footage for the rest of this video should be from the new camera. Let me know if you can tell
a difference. The Sony A7C2 Take 1. It's looking cloudy, almost raining outside. The lighting is
very gloomy, kind of a bit dim. I think it's going to be a pretty good test to see how this camera
performs under dim indoor lighting. I've got some baby stuff to unbox again. Pure Baby were having
a massive clearance at Davy Jones. So I got about 10 things from them. So cute. Size double zero,
so three to six months. One short sleeve grow suit with a bear pattern on it. This is a set,
is a long sleeve top, soft bunny patterns and a matching denim overall. Another set. This one's
double zero, three to six months. Little t-shirt with a kitten on it and matching shorts. A long
sleeve grow suit and a matching bib. Little koala on it. Oh, I didn't realize it's a Christmas one.
It's a Christmas one. That's okay. I guess we'll have a Christmassy baby. This one I think is
designed for a little girl because there's a pink lining inside, but it's inside. No one can see.
It's a knitted cardigan, very soft. And this is a winter set. Little rabbits on it too
with blue trousers. I'm going floral again for my little boy, but it's really cute. So I couldn't
resist. And one more yellow floral overall, which I noticed is the same pattern as those shorts I
got. And the last thing from Pure Baby is a baby towel. It's an aquarium design. As you might think,
oh my God, that's too much stuff. We'll have more. Just a few more small purchases I made from
Target. Some baby coat hangers. A pack of three, a hundred percent cotton wraps. They're just
white and gray, very soft colors. Animal prints on them. This is a pack of 10 disposable change mats.
I'm sure that'll come handy. And last but not least, a sleeping bag, a Lion King one.
Isn't the cutest?
All dressed and heading out for Korean barbecue. So we're going very casual today. Black hoodie
from Fantasy, jacket from COS, cheap jeans, boots from Gorman, and my new purse I got from Max Mara.
It's only five o'clock now, but it's super dark outside. So this footage is actually from super
dim lighting indoors. I just have a couple of lamps on. Hopefully it turns out all right when I
export it at the end of time.
