The BEST Wool Sneaker For Men In 2022 | Giesswein Merino Wool (Honest Review)

Hey everyone it's Junaid from ManicFluency and in this video I want to talk about a brand called Geese One because apparently they've got the best and most sustainable wool sneakers out there. Because everyone knows that a quality pair of sneakers is extremely important whether it's going to the gym, just going for a walk or even going to work. If you're someone that wears a quality pair of sneakers it just makes your life more convenient and thus in this video I'm going to check the sneakers out and give you my honest thoughts and feedback. Anyways, with that said, let's jump into the video. So if I go to the about page it says Wool Redefined Made in Austria Founded as a family business and run by the 3rd generation, we, Marcus and Johannes Giesewein have been dealing with wool since childhood. We have made it our mission to reinvent the positive attributes of wool to create unique products. Our mission is to process wool so that its benefits can be optimally utilised. For this we develop and produce unique fabrics from our own production in Tirol, Austria. We select only handpicked wool qualities according to high ethical and ecological standards. So it's good to hear that this brand does everything in their own house instead of outsourcing it and reducing the quality of their product. It then says the Giesewein quality. High quality starts with the selection of the basic material. There are countless wool qualities but only the finest manage it into the Giesewein production. Wool is not an artificially manufactured standard but as unique as nature itself. That's why it takes years of experience of our employees to get wool into shape. With this know-how we have become Europe's largest producer of 100% virgin wool clothing. It then follows up with our production. In order for wool to become a high performance material, various complex production stages have to be run through. The processing of wool takes a lot of time than the production of conventional textiles. This process is more complex but you get a much more functional product. We are constantly researching new production methods to make our wool materials even softer and always of higher quality. And it's great that they've mentioned that because nowadays when it comes to law of brands, when you actually look at brands and you see the ones that really care about their customers and are constantly trying to reinvent their production methods and trying to make the quality better and better, you'll notice that those brands tend to have extremely sustainable products. Because when it comes to the Giesewein sustainability, it says we have found a way to sustainably produce our products. We pay particular attention to particularly resource-saving production methods. The highlights of our sustainable production are 100% scraps, up to 90% recycled water in production and 100% use of renewable resources. So here's the package and let me unbox it now. So first of all, receive the invoice. And then inside of it, it says Giesewein. On the left side, it says Woosneaker Men and you see my size. So let me open it up now. After opening the box, it says Why Merino Wool, 100% merino sheep's wool, no smell, no sweat, temperature regulating, super light, wearable without socks. And inside of the box, you find yourself this merino wool sneaker. And honestly, just looking at this sneaker, it looks very aesthetically pleasing, especially with my wardrobe over here because they've got similar grey colour. So let me quickly get rid of the paper over here and look at the inside of it. Because inside of the sneaker, it says Giesewein Merino Wool. And when it comes to the fabric, it is super lightweight and thin. So obviously, when it comes to movement, I think this will be very convenient. And I know this might be weird, but if I smell this sneaker, it generally has that natural wool smell to it. So after receiving this sneak out of the box, I generally like the design of this sneaker because you simply look at it, it looks so aesthetically pleasing. I personally really like the colour, but obviously this is a personal preference. And when it comes to the product itself, it seems to be very sustainable and at the same time very lightweight because it's very thin. And obviously, that's just my current opinion by looking at this sneaker. So now I'm going to check it out by wearing it and utilising this particular sneaker. And you'll probably end up seeing some B-rolls and after that, I'll give you my honest thoughts and feedback. Alright, so we're back again and I hope you enjoyed seeing the product in action. So currently it's the evening now, but I wanted to finish this video off and give you my thoughts and feedback after trying the product out. So these are the sneakers after using them and as you can see, it only has a little bit of a stain over here and a little bit over here, but generally speaking, it's barely visible. And obviously, that's not really surprising since it is only the first day. And if I apply some force to this shoe, you can see that it is a little bit flexible, but isn't the most flexible. And when it comes to the product itself, the fabric seems to be made of high quality. And when it comes to the Geese One shoe, I've tried this product out without wearing socks just to check it out for you guys. And when it comes to this particular product, it does feel very soft from the inside as well. I'm personally someone that doesn't like to wear sneakers without socks because I don't want to get any sort of blisters and most of the time, it generally feels very uncomfortable. But when it comes to this particular pair of shoes, I didn't really have that because the sneaker very softly touched my feet rather than it being very hard. And that's a very good thing in my opinion because I generally feel like when it's a bit softer, it'll be more comfortable to wear it for a longer period of time. Although I must admit that I don't particularly know how great this particular shoe is when it comes to very extreme weather conditions because I haven't worn this pair of shoe hours and hours going on hikes. I've only done a little bit of skipping ropes with it, walked a bit, tried various things out but nothing very extreme. Although I must admit that the temperature regulation was actually on point because initially when I thought about trying this particular pair of shoes out, I wasn't sure that if I wear this pair of sneaker without socks, they'll still keep the temperature intact. But surprisingly, when I tried it out, I didn't feel like there was a big difference whether I was wearing with socks or without socks. And when it comes to this pair of sneaker, I generally feel like that it's very sustainable and long-enduring due to the quality of the pair. And since it's made out of merino wool, it does have special wash and care instructions. So it says that the merino wool can be washed with delicate cycle for wool at maximum 30 degrees. We recommend using a laundry net and a liquid wool detergent. Do not wash with other textiles in the washing machine. Never spin merino wool, squeeze it carefully. Merino wool should be air dried without using mechanical aids. Please do not put them in the dryer. And by using a cloth or soft brush light, soylence can be removed. If you use a waterproofing spray, please make sure that it is right for breathable materials. And the reason that you have to wash these Geesewine sneakers differently than other sneakers is due to the merino wool. Because if you want to keep your merino sneakers long-lasting and sustainable, it's definitely wise to do that. So I definitely feel like that this pair is very sustainable and different than your ordinary sneakers. But at the same time, it's very breathable and that makes it very delicate. Just look at it. In my opinion, I definitely like the color of it. I love how the merino wool is designed. It feels very breathable and the sneaker seems to be made of high quality and is very sustainable.
