Jim Grimzer was the captain of the Fire Department of New York, where he enjoyed going to work every day. However, as is the case with people who work in hazardous jobs do, Jim had suffered a tragedy while on duty that left him in a huge existential crisis.

The captain had lost a good man that was on his team, a young man who had only joined the department recently.
The grief of the loss had eaten the captain up for weeks. He couldn’t seem to get himself out of the deep hole he had found himself in. and luckily for him, that was about to change.
