Hi guys and welcome back to my channel. So for a while a bunch of you have been writing to me if
I wanted to do kind of like a autumn winter savior video. So this time of year it's dark,
it's rainy, it's cold and it can get kind of depressing. So I have a bunch of go-to
activities and products and a lot of things lying right here in front of me that I like to
use, especially this time of year, to kind of bring me through the season without losing my
good mood. I personally really love autumn and winter. I love this time of year. I know that
it can get really depressing and sometimes you know you just long for spring, summer and light
days. Especially when you hit like January, February, you're just done with it. You want
spring. I tend to really appreciate this time of year and I don't know if it has something to do
with getting older but I tend to appreciate the activities and the things that we surround
ourselves with this time of year and I love all of the colors. So I wanted to sit down and just
totally low-key talk you through these favorite products of mine, favorite activities, things
like that. So if you're keen on getting a look into my autumn winter saviors then just keep on
watching. So first I wanted to start with a bit of beauty because we all know that this time of
year we tend to get like dry skin and we just need to maybe pamper ourselves a bit more than
the rest of the year. So I have a bunch of products here that I want to share with you.
Not really anything new because most of these are actually something I've been using for a long time
for years even but I just briefly wanted to mention them again in case there are any new subscribers
that don't know anything about these products or just to refresh you guys memories. So let's start
with this oil that I have right here. This is the Meraki oil that I've mentioned many times on my
channel. I went ahead and bought a large bottle this time with a pump just a lot more practical
plus I love this oil. I've been using it for a couple of years now and it's a multi-purpose oil
that I use both for like a body oil, I use it underneath my eyes if I need a bit extra there,
and I use it to remove makeup. I use it to moisture my dry cuticles, elbows, anything I can think of
basically. I also use this in my hair routine. It's a kind of like a go-to for me. I don't use
any conditioners or any heat protecting creams or lotions anything like that. I've cut all of that
out of my life because I don't really need it. My hair is super healthy and I even go to the hairdresser
and get it dyed once a year and I think that taking into consideration this oil is just amazing.
I'm pretty sure you could use any other type of oil and I also know that this is not available
in every country in the world so any other alternative, any other organic oil with like a
natural scent to it is great as well I think. So when I get out of the shower, when I've washed my
hair, that's all I do and I do it every two to three days. I wash my hair and then I just apply
a tiny amount of this to my lengths and what it does is actually both conditioning my hair,
makes it easier to brush my hair and it also works as a heat protection kind of oil in itself. So
this is just a wonder, miracle product for me and I can't live without this in my daily routines.
So what I like to do also with this oil when I need a bit of extra pampering, I actually take
some coffee grounds. We have a espresso machine over there in the kitchen so I take some of the
coffee grounds and mix that together with some oil and then I use that as a natural face scrub
and that was the dog snoring. He seems to always do that in my videos. We always need that bit of
Oscar in my videos. Um what was I saying? Natural face scrub and you can also make a larger amount
and then use it on your entire body. It works wonders and my skin is always super like glowy
and soft after doing that. So when I've applied it to my face and kind of rubbed it into my face,
I always wash it off afterwards and then I use my my normal face moisturizer. Really a go-to
especially this time of year when you tend to get like dry or really like gray, dull looking skin.
This is something that can bring the glow back into your skin. So speaking of facials, I have a
few tools here that I'd like to share with you. So a tool that I'd like to share with you is
something I've also shared before in the past but it's been a long time since I actually mentioned
it here on my channel, is my derma roller. And the cool thing about this is you know it has these
small needles and then you kind of roll it onto your face. There's like different guides on the
internet if you're keen on getting more knowledge about how to use it. Basically what it does,
it opens the pores more so whatever product you apply to your skin afterwards will just sink a
lot deeper into your skin. Plus it is great for like stimulating the growth of new cells and if
you have any scarring or redness, anything like that, it can kind of deal with all that. An
important thing to do after using it is to disinfect it. So instead of using like a disinfecting
spray, I always just pour some boiling water on it and it works fine. So this is a great tool as
well and a great again tool to get that glow back into your skin. So after using the derma roller,
it's really important that you take good care of your skin. So usually I just use my regular
day cream or like a t-zone peeling, something like that. And the products that I use are actually
from a Danish drugstore so I can't really provide you with any links unless there are any Danish
people watching. So maybe I should just show you what I'm using at the moment. So I'm using this
range from the Danish drugstore called Metas. And I'm sure you have something similar in the
country where you live. And these are all with the Nordic Swarm label which means that you know
they're great for you, they're healthy for you and they've also researched the whole production
chain, the packaging, everything. So they should be safe to use when they have like the Nordic
Swarm label. So I use the moisturizing lotion on a daily basis underneath my makeup and just when
my skin needs a bit of extra moisture. And then I use the t-zone peeling at night time. So I
actually apply this to my entire face, not only the t-zone, but actually my entire face every
evening. What it does is that it exfoliates your skin. So it's just an exfoliator that you apply
to your skin and then you just leave it there. But it's really like eliminated a lot of the breakouts
that I usually get throughout the year and my skin is just really clear and great looking I think. So
these are the products that I use at the moment. There's also a cleanser in this series that I use
and these are specially designed for like acne prone skin which I still deal with sometimes,
but my skin does look very nice at the moment if I do say so myself. So another thing that I've
recently added to my skincare routine is a super serum. This is from the Danish brand called
E-Cooking and I know that you can get this on Feel Unique. So if you live in the UK you can
definitely get your hands on this. But this stuff is allergy certified and it's without perfumes,
any nasty chemicals like that. So this stuff is amazing. I like to apply it after using my derma
roller because again it just sinks deeper into the skin and just to give my skin that extra boost of
moisture and glow. So moving on to the last product in the whole beauty area that I'd like to share
with you and that is actually a new tool that I've just only recently added to my skincare routine
and that is a huasha stone. I don't know if you guys have seen any of this. It's kind of like
a very hyped beauty tool at the moment because it's natural and it's kind of a mindful way to
take care of your face skin and your body in general and it kind of whenever you use this
it's kind of like meditation. So it's a really popular tool and I totally get it because I've
only been using this a couple of times but I really like it. It's so nice on the skin. So the
huasha stone that I have is from Honest Beauty Talks and I just ordered it on a Danish website
but I'll link something similar down below also something international. So it's like a crystal
stone that you massage your face with and it's supposed to make your skin more even looking. It's
very good for like the blood circulation and it's supposed to minimize any fine lines and things like
that. Plus again it's just a very mindful and meditative way of taking care of yourself. So
there's a whole guide that comes with the huasha stone so if you're wondering how should I use
this there's a guide that follows and I'm sure you can find something here on YouTube as well.
But basically you apply a face oil or a serum or anything like that and I like to apply the one
that I just mentioned before. So I apply a bit of serum on the area that I'm focusing on and then I
move on to the next and again that just massages the product very well into the skin plus it just
feels so nice on the skin and the stone is so cooling as well. I'm sure you could put it into
the fridge. If you have very heavy under eye circles or even bags underneath your eyes especially in
the morning it just cools down those areas and gets rid of that excess water that's spilled up
underneath the skin. A new favorite of mine and a natural way of taking good care of yourself.
I'm not really all about having a lot of wonder creams and lotions. I've said this a thousand
times before but I feel like beauty comes from within. So I feel like this is a great way of
getting that meditation added to my daily routine without having to add extra time if that makes
sense. So I'm just adding it to a routine that I'm already doing and that works really well. I'm not
really sure how often you're supposed to use this but I think you can use it as often you need. You
can use it every evening to like wrap up the day or use it every morning whatever you feel like.
So moving on from beauty to fashion I have a few bits here that I like to share with you guys.
Nothing new you've seen all of these items before but I just wanted to mention them because
I especially love using them this time of year. So obviously I had to include a scarf and I have
both a beige scarf and a gray scarf. I use the gray one with like my camel coat more and I also
use it with my navy blue wool coat and the same with this one. I use this with my navy blue wool
coat or with my blazers or anything like that. These are both in like the softest 100% wool
quality and I've had these for years. They last really really well so I can definitely recommend
that you invest in a great wool scarf. And again these are just so soft, they're so smuggly,
they're great for traveling as well because they're so huge that you can actually
can actually wrap them around you and use them as a blanket. So that is just genius.
Mostly when I wear them I like to wrap them up like this and then just make a knot right here
in the front like that and just that's so snuggly I feel like I can almost sleep on it like this.
Just really great scarves both of them I'm not really sure where I got them from but they're
both from Danish brands so I'll link something similar down below. As I said I've had them for
so I'm not really sure you can get them anymore but I'm sure you can find something similar. So
let's move on to the next item and I do apologize that these are a bit dirty but I wore them this
morning on our dog walk. These are my Dr. Martens Chelsea boots. I've mentioned these so many times
before but I just absolutely love these boots. I bought them secondhand last year and whenever I
just need to feel comfy but want to look put together at the same time and if I have to walk
for miles these are definitely my go-to kind of awesome winter boot. I've worn them in different
kinds of setups outside in nature and they just they last so well and again they're just easy to
maintain. So I can highly recommend these boots they're so comfortable and they just go with
everything that I have in my wardrobe. So moving on to the next fashion item. This is my knit
jumper that I have in my autumn capsule. Obviously I love all of the items I have in my autumn
capsule. I put a lot of thought into my capsules but I really wanted to mention this one because
I bring it out every single year. It just really complements all of the colors we're surrounded by
so well. I don't think you can get this particular jumper anymore but you can definitely get your
hands on something similar. Every single autumn I look forward to bringing back out this jumper
because it just resembles autumn so well and again complements all of the colors that we
see this time of year very very well and just it's awesome in a jumper for me. So snuggly cozy
just love it. So moving on to the final fashion item that I want to share with you in this video
and that is my baker boy cap. I actually haven't been reaching that much for it lately but on days
where it's really windy or when it's drizzling or like recently we were in a in like a cottage on a
danish island called fire you might have watched my vlog and I brought this hat with me because
on days where I don't really want to wear any makeup or do anything with my hair but I still
want to look nice and keep my hair in place. I like to wear this hat so I brought it with me
on that little break and I wore it together with my my jumper and then my boots actually and then
just a denim jacket a pair of jeans and I felt great. I felt like you know I didn't really need
to impress anyone but you know my husband was there and it was nice to still look put together.
So this is definitely a go-to hat for me during autumn again because it keeps my hair in place if
it's windy or if it's raining or anything like that I can even like take my hair back in a low bun
definitely a great autumn go-to as well.
So I have a bunch of books here and I also have some music I'd like to share with you
so the first thing I want to share with you is a book that of course I needed to mention this
because I'm like the uncrowned queen of hygge. So of course I needed to include the little book
of hygge. I've mentioned this before and I'm currently still reading it and I've you know
I've looked through it a lot of times because it just has a lot of nice images and it has a lot of
nice recipes danish recipes and things like that so basically this book is all about living a great
life the danish way and that's what I'm all about so I can highly highly recommend this book and
I love it. I had to include it in this video because it is just hygge in a book. So staying
in the reading area this is not a book but it is a magazine and it is the sustain yearly christmas
edition I also have the sustain yearly spring summer edition so it has all sorts of inspiration
on how to live a more sustainable life and this is like I said the christmas edition and
I don't know what it is I think it's just this time of year in general I am looking so much
forward to christmas I can't wait and we're only in the middle of october but you know christmas
is not that far away it's before we know it it's december 1st so it just offers a lot of
inspiration on how to have a more slow more eco-friendly christmas but without taking away
any of the fun and without feeling that you're missing something just in general how to have a
more mindful christmas which I'm all about I really like this idea and this especially one
article that I'm looking so much forward to dig into which is like inspiration for the more
sustainable advent calendar I don't know how you do this in your country but in Denmark
we either choose like an advent calendar where you give someone a present every sunday up until
christmas or you give someone a present every single day all throughout christmas until the
24th we've done it before my husband and I and I think that this time around I'm gonna be inspired
by the magazine and make a more personal kind of advent calendar for him and I'm thinking about
doing like an everyday calendar where I either write little compliments that he reads every
single day or maybe write down a memory that we've had together that he can read open up and
read every single day so there are different ways you can do this advent calendar that is more
personal and more mindful and you know focuses less on the consumption part so moving on to the
next thing I here have a thousand piece puzzle that we recently finished I have been obsessed
with doing puzzles lately and personally I'm not really good at sitting down with a book and just
read away I've never really been good at doing that because I relax so much that I often tend
to fall asleep plus I'm a kind of a slow reader when I have to read a book um so there are some
types of books that I really like so for example books that are you know educating in some way or
have a lot of images because I'm a very visual person um but another thing that I've recently
found out is that I'm really really I'm all there when it comes to puzzles I can do that for hours
I don't fall asleep or anything like that so this is a great way for me to unplug and rewind and
just let go of all of the projects that I have going on so that's definitely another thing that
I love doing this time of year like lighting a bunch of candles putting on some music and then
just doing this for hours it's a great way to unplug so I briefly mentioned music and obviously
music is something that means a lot to me and I love playing good music I mean who doesn't so I
do have a couple of playlists on Spotify that I listen to a lot this time of year or especially
right now I think it suits this time of year perfectly so I'm gonna link them down below but
just briefly mention them as well so one of the playlists that this is my absolute favorite and
it's been for months actually it is the one called Dinner and Soul and it's a playlist made
by Spotify but it's just a lot of like great old-school soul that's really like low-key
and just so so cozy so relaxing to have on them in the background and we've been listening to it
almost daily for the past couple of weeks and I love that playlist a lot I am a sucker for anything
like old-school R&B and soul so it has artists like Bill Withers and Stevie Wonder and Otis
Redding all sorts of old-school soul singers so definitely check that one out then there's also a
playlist called Your Favorite Coffeehouse I think it's called it's very suitable for this time of
year because it feels like you're sitting in a very cozy coffeehouse so again a lot of low-key songs
so moving on to the final area that I kind of wanted to cover in this video which is
all of the activities that we especially like to do this time of year so one thing that we
like to do regularly but especially this time of year is to go on different flea markets we
have a bunch of different flea markets in the area and sometimes we don't really plan it if
we're driving around in the area anyway we drive past a flea market we sometimes stop and check it
out and sometimes we find something sometimes we don't that's a deal with flea markets but it's
just so cozy and often you can get like coffee or hot chocolate during these flea markets as well
so flea markets definitely something that we love to do especially during autumn but all through
throughout the year actually then another thing that we like to do is you know we have a dog and
that means that we get to go on very long walks we have to walk him every single day three times a
but sometimes we like to drive somewhere where he can just run free and we can bring like a cup of
coffee and like a to-go cup or bring our own hot chocolate tea or anything like that and then just
go for an hour or two in that fresh air that's just amazing and it's one of life's little luxury
treasures really it's so simple but it's something that we absolutely love in general I really enjoy
walking with people because you just you start talking about a lot of other stuff that you don't
do when you're sitting around a table if that makes sense so walking is something I really
really like I really really love going on city trips throughout autumn I don't know what it is
but especially this time of year I think it's nice to discover a city or to just walk around
in a foreign city for hours and then when you feel hungry you go into a cafe just some random cafe
that looks cozy or if you get tired anything you can sit down somewhere and have a cup of coffee
and just have a wonderful time somewhere else than where you come from so I don't know what it
is but every single autumn I feel like this urge to get out and explore and you know even even at
places I've been before so I've been to London several times I've been in Amsterdam and Berlin
several times but I really love to explore these European cities throughout autumn it's wonderful
again all of the colors and if it's not raining constantly you can just walk for hours and really
you know maybe discover things that you didn't really discover before so going on city trips
just for a long weekend is something that we really really love to do this time of year
a year ago we also went to Copenhagen so we kind of felt like just discovering our own capital
and I actually did make a mini guide to Copenhagen so if you're considering going on a city trip to
one of the European capitals this autumn then that video might be something for you I also have
a come vintage shopping with me vlog from when we were in London and London is a great place to do
secondhand and vintage shopping in general I definitely see myself coming back to do more of
that so that's it guys for this video I really hope that you enjoyed it and I hope it gave you
some inspiration on getting through autumn in a great mood and in a positive way obviously there
are lots of other activities and things that we do especially this time of year that I probably
forgot to mention so yeah that is it for this video guys if you have any other activities
or products anything that you'd like to share with me just write them down below also don't
forget to swing by my Instagram for more fashion and lifestyle updates so thank you guys so much
I really hope you enjoyed it and I hope to see you all in the next one bye guys
