In this video we are heading to James Price Point (Walmadany) for a relaxing visit. We keep on burning ourselves out travelling and doing too much so it's time for a rest. What better place to refresh than James Price Point, where we can soak up the incredible views, before continuing our journey south to Exmouth. Join us in this video for: A peek inside our bus life An experience of the corrugations on the road to the destination The reward of arriving! Birds eye views of James Price Point The relaxing side of road travel Our tips if you are planning a visit Our photography at the end of the video If you are headed here, lucky you. And if you are just considering a trip to Australia's Northwest - do it! The coastline and surrounds are so unique to the entire world, and a once in a lifetime type experience.
I'm Bec and this is Chris and we swapped our comfy home for this. And now for this four wheel drive
bus. We've been traveling Australia for a year and a half and sharing the adventures along the way.
So we stayed at a free camp last night and it's starting to heat up in here so we are
off to the shops to get a few things and later we're heading off to James Price Point.
I've been wanting some good fins for ages for spearfishing and finally I found the
ones that fitted me and I want in Broome of all places. Let's get the hell out of croc infested
country so we can go spearfishing. We bought our long lost piece that we've been missing
to put our GoPro back on its trusty GoPro stick. That stick has been with us for a long time.
It is the best filming stick known to man. These things break all the time but they're the best
right? There we go there. Perfect. Lovely. Yes! This is great! It's been way too long since it's been on the stick.
Chris and I tend to overdo our travels and we go way too hard wanting to do stuff all the time
and then we simultaneously both burn out. So we're off to relax at James Price Point
and I really don't think there is anywhere better that we could be doing that at.
However there is one obstacle to overcome first and that is the heavy two hours of
minimum an hour of corrugations away. Something's gonna break soon though. Did anything break?
No I haven't looked under the car yet. It's pretty hectic but it's worth it.
It's always worth it. The absolute carnage that is corrugated roads.
We're just taking a walk at sunset at James Price Point's
beach. It's a really hot day so we're kind of looking forward to the sun going down
because we are cooking. Sunset is the perfect time for a little drone session to check all
of this out from up in the sky before we go home and make dinner and chill in the bus.
Oh look at that.
All done droning.
That was cool. It just gets redder and redder like as the sun gets lower it's just like it's
so red. Yeah as the sun was coming down this is all set on fire. Just amazing.
To think this is a free camp. We're calling it this is one of if not the best free camp
in Australia. 50 kilometers north of Broome and with no facilities out here we came prepared
and left nothing behind. Two-wheel drives can't get in without a fight. There's hours of corrugated
roads so we recommend a four-wheel drive only. Just remember there are crocodiles in the water
though which is why we only were swimming around in the shallows. A 50 kilometer squared offshore
gas refinery was proposed to be built here affecting local marine life and pumping wastewater
into the ocean but locals rallied heavily against it creating a ripple movement right across the
globe so it didn't go ahead. After all our crazy running around droning we felt we needed a fresh
water shower. In our setup we don't have a shower so we actually gave each other a sponge bath
which was hilarious. All round it was a great first night and in the morning we woke up to
Um kind of. It's Cheeto. Yeah they kind of look salty. I braided Chris's hair last night
it's looking pretty cool. Can't believe it's at that level. I'm never gonna keep you happy babe.
You keep me very happy. It is so peaceful here we've had the most relaxing day. So yesterday we
just enjoyed being on the beach having a swim not much of a swim because you know crocodiles but
we kind of swam in the shore and then this morning we've had a coffee enjoying the view
it's starting to heat up though unfortunately we need to go to Exmouth so we are going to pack up
and get on our way. We prefer to stay for about seven days and just fish. I literally saw a mackerel
jump out of the water about this big. I don't know if it's a mackerel but I'm going to look into it
because I remember what it looked like and it was a big fish but yeah this place is an untouched
beautiful wonderland. We are at the best free camp ever. It's just been perfect. I hope you've
enjoyed our video if you have please like comment and subscribe and we'll see you next time. Thanks
for watching. As always here's our photography from Walmadani James Price Point Western Australia.
It's a once in a lifetime kind of place that we'll never forget. If you're headed here go
for a while and keep driving down to find the secluded spots. Everyone seems to camp at the
first spot but there are so many more kilometers to explore and to have the whole area to yourself.
Thank you so much for watching this far. We really appreciate you who support our channel.
See you next time.
