Thunder Valley National 2025 | Pro Motocross 450 Class Highlights

The highlights of the first moto of the day at thunder valley. 450 race first. What a race it was. Jet Lawrence, hunter Lawrence, Aaron Plesinger battling early. Aaron was really aggressive off the beginning. Normally when the hondas are out front, nobody gets around them. It was Eli Tomac, probably the most aggressive rider in the beginning part. Tried his best lap after lap trying to get around hunter Lawrence but he wasn't able to do it. Then started dropping back. Then it was Aaron Plesinger. He wanted to get in the game. He saw jet Lawrence wasn't getting away. He was able to get around hunter Lawrence. He made his way up to the 18 as well. The 96 gets him back. It's not over. That's how great the racing was here. Watch this. They made about ten passes between each other. AP was down to get to the inside. As quickly as he got around hunter Lawrence, he was on the back of jet Lawrence within a lap. The race was on for the lead. Using the same line you just saw pass hunter Lawrence. Passes jet. Gets the spot. Yeah. Jet made a small mistake coming out of the corner. I don't think jet even knew about that line. But that being said, he was able to regroup. Went after AP. Was able to get back on the inside of him. Once you get the champ on the ropes, you can't get him down. This was the last lap. Hunter Lawrence going down out of third place. Might be costly for the overall. Ends up fourth place. Nonetheless, it was the 18 coming across for another victory of the year. Plesinger, hunter, Eli. They gave him all he could handle. Jet Lawrence comes out on top. With the last lap crash. Hunter Lawrence is down. the lead. Battling it out with Cooper Webb. But soon, Justin Cooper, the 32, and the 96 of hunter Lawrence bust through. Yeah. They were coming in heaps. First it was hunter Lawrence. Then it was Justin Cooper to make his way up and pass hunter Lawrence for the lead. Started to get away a little bit. Got two or three seconds. But those guys slowly started closing them down. You see the number 18 in that third spot. It was Eli Tomat doing something he couldn't do. Was able to make some passes and get around. We thought the race was going to be over. Trying to get after hunter Lawrence. Makes the same move around him. Hunter Lawrence tries to go up the inside of him. Thought no more. They would have tangled if they went into it. But then it was for the lead. This was jet Lawrence making his way around. Justin Cooper for the lead. And then soon after that, it was Eli Tomat trying to do the same thing around his teammate. Yeah. Eli Tomat wants to get around Justin Cooper and keep jet Lawrence in his sights. So now the two Yamaha teammates battle. And Tomat makes the move in the downhill. Yeah. I mean, he just really pushed it down. Just played a game of chicken. Went down there and was able to make that move. But this was the moment of the race. Eli was so close to jet, he would lose the time and he would catch it up. And just looks like both these riders are on the edge. But Eli goes down. And it was another 1-1 victory of the day for the year. Jet Lawrence third overall so far this year out of three races. We said it over and over. It's a broken record. They've been close, but they haven't been able to get him. 1-1 for Lawrence. Tomat second overall. Jet gains eight championship points with those results today over Tomat. Aaron Plessiger on the podium again. He's been in the top five in every moto this year.
