Hi, it's Sarah.
Welcome back and welcome if you're new.
I'm so glad you're here joining me today.
In today's video, we are kicking off
my 2025 Summer Decorating Series
and we're going to be starting here in this space
and just making a cozy, a cute,
and bring in some yellow touches for the summer months.
This wood table is from Wayfair.
The black metal chairs are from Amazon
and these battery-operated wall sconces
that I have on each side of my window
are from Amazon as well.
I've had these up for a few months now
and I just love them.
I think they're so pretty up here.
Those two shelves up on the wall are from Amazon.
I think they are like eight years old.
I've had them forever,
but that is where everything came from.
If you are excited for summer and decorating,
give this video a big thumbs up
and if you are new here, please consider subscribing.
I would love to have you.
There'll be tons more summer decorating videos
coming your way.
Thank you so much for watching.
I hope you enjoy.
Now let's get decorating.
I'm loving how these shelves turned out.
That wood frame is from Walmart
and inside of it,
I placed that pretty wildflower print from Etsy.
I love the touches of yellow in it.
And those bowls you see there are from Amazon
and then those two gold candle holders are from Walmart.
And in the back there,
I just added in some cutting boards I had.
That clock scale is from Amazon
and then that little picture next to it is from Home Depot.
And inside of it,
I just added some of these yellow flowers
that I had from Michael's.
On the top shelf,
I wanted to keep it pretty simple
and have that lemon print as a main focus.
I found that at Target back in March.
I just love it.
Those two wood candle holders are from Amazon
and then on them,
I just placed those white flameless candles.
I was at Target recently
and came across this beautiful
scallop or tan planters basket.
I thought it was so pretty
and I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for
so I grabbed it.
This is a bigger size.
They have a smaller one as well
but I bought this bigger one
so I can place this olive tree that I have inside of it.
I really wanted to add something back there in the corner.
You see, it just needed something level
but it's not a big space
so I didn't want to add in anything that was too big
but I found this olive tree on Amazon
and I thought it'd be perfect to add back there
so we're going to take it and place it in this basket
and then I have some of this bubble wrap
that actually came with the basket.
I'm just going to add to the bottom to fill it up some
and then I'm going to take some of this moss that I have
that I just found at Walmart
and add it around the top to fill it up some
and make it look nice.
I love how this turned out.
I think the tree over there in the corner
is just perfect.
I really like that space needed
so I'm so happy with it
and that planter basket is everything.
I think it is the cutest.
Let me know down below in the comments
when you're going to start decorating for summer.
Usually in May I go with yellow
and then in June I start adding in my Americana decor
so that is my plan for now.
Now I'm just going to take my method spray cleaner
that I have and wipe down this table really fast
and then we're going to decorate it.
Usually when I decorate my table
I always start with a table runner.
I love using table runners
but this time I wanted to do something a little different
and I absolutely love how it turned out.
You'll have to see what it looks like in the end
to let me know what you think of it
but I think it turned out so beautiful
and I'm so happy with it.
We're going to start off with this big distressed vase
that I found at Walmart.
I don't think they sell it anymore.
I found it a few months ago
and I haven't seen it recently
but I love the look of it
and then I'm going to take some of these yellow flowers
that I have from Michaels and place them inside of it.
I was actually planning on using these green stems
that I had instead.
I tried them out but I didn't love them.
I wanted to change it up a little
and just brighten up the space a little bit
and make it look a little more over here
so I used these ones instead.
I'm really happy with how they look
and I love that they are a little different.
Next to that vase I'm adding this wood riser that I have
and then I have this yellow dish towel
that I'm going to place on top of it
just to soften everything up a little
and then I have this Better Homes and Gardens
stone distressed bowl from Walmart
and I'm just going to place it on top of it.
Here to the bowl I'm just going to add some lemons to it
and then there in the corner I'm going to add
this salt jar candle that I found at Target
to bring in some coziness.
I found these round placemats at Walmart.
They were under $4 so a pretty good deal.
I love the fringe edges on them and the neutral color.
I found this 12 piece scout dinnerware set
at Sam's Club the other day and I just had to get it.
I thought they were so beautiful.
They come with 12 pieces.
They were under $30.
You get four bowls, four dinner plates and four salad plates
and I did pick up two sets.
I actually have to get another
so we have enough for our family
but these are microwave and dishwasher safe
and I just think they're so pretty.
I bought the cream colored ones
but they also have blue, green and pink ones as well.
I did buy these online.
I'm not sure they have them in the store
but aren't these so pretty sitting here on my table?
I just love them.

Hi, it's Sarah.
Welcome back or welcome if you are new.
I'm so glad you're here joining me today.
In today's video, I'm sharing with you my part two
of my early summer decorating series
and we're gonna be decorating here in my kitchen.
I've already decorated up my little kitchen nook area.
I will link that video down below
if you haven't seen it yet
but today we are gonna be concentrating in here
and I just want to brighten it up a little,
bring in some yellow, some lemons
and just make it nice and fresh and cozy
for the early summer months.
Just a little look at my kitchen
with all my spring touches added in.
I'm going to take it all down off camera
and then we're going to jump right into decorating today.
If you are new here,
we moved into this home almost six months ago.
It was built in the 1960s
so you kind of can see the older vibes going on in here
but I don't mind it.
I love that it's a little different.
We've already done a few updates in here
and we're planning on doing more in the future
but this is what we are working with for now.
All right, friends, I hope you enjoyed today's video.
As always, I will try to link everything

Thank you so much for watching.
I hope you enjoy.
Now let's get decorating.
Let me know down below in the comments
if you already started to decorate for summer.
I know it is super early
but for me, I've had a hard month after hurting my back
so I just wanted to come in and just freshen everything up
just to make me feel a little better.
So the brightness of this kitchen makes me happy
and it is really what I needed.
I don't judge anyone for decorating early in their home.
Sometimes you just need a change after having a hard week,
a hard month or something like that
so I don't judge anyone for decorating early.
If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.
That wood riser you see there is another one I made myself.
I had some extra wood laying around so I cut it to size
and then I had some unfinished knobs
and I just used those for those little feet
down at the bottom.
I sanded and stained everything
and this is how it turned out.
I love it.
I think it was so pretty here in my kitchen.
If you've been here a while,
you know I love my candle warmer lamp.
I use this all the time.
It just makes our whole house smell so good
and I don't have to worry about real flames
or anything like that so I just love using that.
That artwork you see there in the back is from Etsy.
I just printed it up on my home computer
and placed it in this frame.
Etsy is such a easy and cheap way
to bring artwork into your home.
I'm going to decorate up my new pie safe
that I have from Antique Farmhouse.
I bought it about a month ago when it was on sale
and I just love it over here on my countertop.
When I bought this, it was actually too tall
to put under this cabinet and I was so bummed
but then I decided to just have my husband
to cut off about an inch on the legs
and now it fits under here perfectly.
I think this is going to be so fun to decorate
for all the holidays and seasons
and I love that I have a little place now
to display some of my cute little decor pieces that I have.

♪ It's okay to grow who you fall for
Here on the counter next to my stove,
I like to put together little vignettes
that are a little more functional for us.
So I have my utensil holder that carries
my wood utensils in it that we use all the time
and then I found this new stoneware letter dish at Target
and I just love it.
I've been looking for a pretty one
that I can actually display out of my countertops
and this little bigger and has a handle on it.
So I think this is going to work out perfect for us.
Then I have my salt and pepper grinders
that I found at Target as well
and then I found this lemon tree at Walmart the other day
and I just loved it.
So we're just going to display it up here
to bring in that pop of yellow that I'm going for.
Here on the other side, I'm going to add
this little lamp that I have from Amazon.
I love that it brings in some coziness
and it is very functional for us
because we really needed some light over here.
So this works out well for us.
Then I have my wood cookbook holder
and on it I'm going to display my Sunday suppers cookbook.
I'm just opening it to a page
that has a little yellow in it
to bring that touch of summer over here.
I love how this feels in that awkward corner space
and having a cookbook displayed like this
makes it feel a little more homey
and gives me easy access to some of my favorite recipes.
I also think it adds a personal touch to the kitchen as well.
So this is my first purchase ever from the Magnolia website.
I found this Ruffles spoon rest.
It was $8 and I just love it so much.
I think it is so pretty sitting here displayed on my stove.
I have this hanging rack above my stove
but I'm not sure I want to take it down or not.
I feel like it might look a little too cluttered
with the two shelves above it.
So let me know down below in the comments
if you think I should leave it or take it down.
I'm really thinking I might take it down
but I do love decorating it as well.
So let me know what you think.
Above the stove we used to have
a very old-fashioned built-in microwave
that we took out and replaced with this hanging rack
and these two shelves that you will see here in a minute.
That outlet you see up there is from the microwave.
I decided to leave it there in case I wanted
to plug something in for the holidays or something
but usually I cover it up if I don't use it.
So I used that yellow pitcher
and that was from Dollar General I picked up a few years ago.
I just love, love how these shelves turned out.
I think they have the perfect amount of yellow
and I think everything looks very cohesive looking.
So I'm really happy with how they look.
All right friends, we are done decorating up this space

It is hard sometimes, especially here on YouTube
to not compare your home to others

and your home, it may not look like that
but I think you can really make any home beautiful

For those that are new, we moved this home six months ago

as you can see and that it sits on over three acres of land.
We really wanted some land and we love
that this home is just not another cookie cutter home.
It is different, it's unique

I did buy a new coffee table.
After updating my entryway table,
I wanted something that went with that a little more.
So I found this one on Amazon and I absolutely love it.
After living here for a few months now,

I'm loving how this entryway table turned out.
I wanted to keep it pretty simple, but very summery
and I'm really happy with how it looks.
This pretty hanging basket is from Amazon.
I don't think they carry it anymore.
I haven't seen it recently.
These beautiful Cosmo stems are from Hobby Lobby
I picked up a few years ago.
Here in the corner, I added these black candle holders
from a Walmart to pull a little black down here
from the mirror that is black as well.
And then I have my white twisted flameless candles
from Amazon.
That homebody book by Joanna Gaines is from Amazon
as well as that little rattan storage basket
there in the middle.
As always, I will try my best to link everything
down below that I decorated with today

Moving over here to my couch,
I have these cream and yellow floral pillow covers
from Amazon.
I love the vintage rustic old style look to them
and they give me that pop of yellow
and it just makes everything feel a little more comfortable
and welcoming.
To those yellow pillows, I'm going to add these pillows
that I found at Walmart recently in the color beige
that I am in love with.
It's so, so pretty with the scalloped edges.
They really soften everything up a little
and I think they go really well with my yellow pillows.
I just think they are so cute.
They were $13 each and so worth it.
I just love them.
I'm going to finish up this space
with this knit throw blanket from Amazon.
We love using blankets in our home
no matter what time of year it is.
We go through so many of them,
but we love them and how cozy they make this space feel.
Now we're going to style my new coffee table for summer.
I'm going to keep it pretty simple again.
We do use this space a lot
so I don't want it to be too overwhelming
or anything like that.
This little plant I found at Walmart recently,
I just love the pot that it is in
so I'm placing that here
and then I found this tray at HomeGoods a few years ago
and I'm just adding it down here at the bottom.
In this tray, I'm going to place this coffee table book.
It is called The Space That Keeps You
When Home Becomes a Love Story
and this is from Amazon.
On top of that, I'm going to place this three wick
cypress and juniper candle that I found at Target.
It smells so good
and I just love the little jar that it is in.
There in the corner, I added some pretty wood coasters
and then I have this black antique finish
candle snuffer from Amazon
that I placed down there at the bottom
and I just love the look of that.
Here in the corner of my fireplace,
I decided to add this planter that I found at Walmart
and take some of these pretty white hydrangeas
that I have from Sam's Club and place them inside of it.
They do come in a white planter,
but I wanted to use this one instead.
I just thought it would go a little better

and I'm really happy with how it looks.
Now we're going to decorate up this bookshelf
that I have over here.
I bought this on Amazon and I'm really happy with it.
We're starting off with this big sign
that I found at Hobby Lobby.
I know some of you are shaking your heads.
Why would I use a word sign?
I know they're not as popular as they used to be,
but this is a very big sign.
We have very tall ceilings, about 13 feet.
