Taylor Swift 'halted' friendship with Lively: The Scoop | Morning in America

Time now for some of the biggest trending stories you'll want to know today. A rumor falling out between two megastars will tell you what's going on between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. Let's bring in our NewsNation entertainment expert Paula Froelich here with this new Hello Friend. Speaking of friends, let's talk about the friendship that is taking a break right now between Blake Lively and Taylor Swift. It's the second break. This is a rollercoaster. What's happening? So Taylor was obviously upset when she found out she was called one of Blake's dragons and she had kind of, you know, in this lawsuit of It Ends With Us and she, you know, was like, come on, you can't just weaponize me. Blake kind of got back into her good graces. Now remember, she is, Taylor is the godmother to Blake's four children. So she was like, all right. And as I reported, they were in a better place until this week when Justin's lawyer, Brian Friedman, came out and said he had sources that basically showed him and told him that, you know, Blake Lively's lawyer had contacted Taylor's lawyer. Not even Blake had contacted Taylor, but the lawyers had contacted each other and said, we really want you to put out a statement of support as to why Blake was not with you at the Super Bowl. And Taylor was like, wait, what? And then, of course, because they're friends, they have all these texts back and forth. It was said that there was some allusion to, well, if you do not do this, we might have to let some texts leak. And I think Taylor was like, oh, what? That's a record scratch on any friendship. Now, listen, the judge said, I'm not allowing you to look at their messages. Let's just get this letter out of the record because sources are sources. But who are they? How do you know? And this is just spurious. So that was that. But at the same time, Taylor was like, you know what? I'm kind of done. I'm done. And it's not just Taylor. Gigi Hadid also not talking to Blake. And they were friends. I've seen them together. They were friends. But you know what? They all got their loyalties and loyalty is to Taylor. And one can understand why. Because at this point, I don't know who would really want to be friends with Blake. If you understand that anything you text her may end up in court. How do you think this is affecting Blake Lively's public persona? What do people think about her? It's not great. You know, I've reported before that her public opinion is kind of in the toilet. People are not real happy with her. And now she's trying to find a new group of friends. She was just photographed. Wink. I don't know how she always happens to get photographed. But hanging out with Selma Hayek, you know, the the wife of the billionaire, you know, so God bless. All right, let's move on from Hollywood royalty to real royalty. This is actually kind of sad. King Charles refusing chemotherapy. What's happening there? It's it's not that sad. It's actually pretty practical because, you know, he's a man of a certain age. He does have cancer. He's doing alternative treatments. And he decided not to do chemo. It's exhausting. It's horrific. Anyone who's had cancer or a family member or friends with cancer knows it takes a lot out of you. And meanwhile, this guy is trying to do the job of King, which is a hard job. Yes, you have to shake hands, ribbons, all this stuff. But it is 10 to 12 hours a day on your feet with a smile on your face. And that is exhausting. So he's decided not to do that now. However, he is going to Canada. We have talked about this in the past and he cannot come to the United States without visiting Canada. And I had heard that he had people looking around in New York. And so the door is open because he is going to Canada. The door is open. If Donald Trump invites him to the States for him to come to the States and possibly have a meeting with Harry.
