F-22 Raptor Vs Rafale-M - It Was Over Before It Began ｜ Digital Combat Simulator ｜ DCS

Good deal, good deal. Hey, good deal. The Rafale is able to use guns and also missiles. He has the Mica Fox 2s. So he has no limitations and I'm guns only. And just to spice it up a little bit for the F-22, I'm also carrying fuel tanks here. Into the merge. Go vertical. Looks like he came in a little slower than I did. I bet you he did that so he could get nose on and get a Fox 2 off. He came in real slow. There's that Fox 2. We're dropping flares. Not tracking. And there we go over the top. And now he doesn't have as much energy as I do here. In the Rafale fight, in real life, if you've seen that video, a lot of people like to cite that as a video where they think the Rafale can fight the F-22. As a training scenario, the F-22 is starting defensive with the Rafale on his tail. And in that video, you can kind of make out that he also has fuel tanks. So I don't think it's as damning as people think it is. Here we go. I'm just literally staying above this Rafale. This is at will right now. And he's flailing around pretty desperately here. Almost at any point here I could get nose on and kill him. Here we go. He's trying to get behind me. I'm just going to nose up Cobra. And he's out in front. This is amazing. I think this will mostly be a video of me just basically toying with this Rafale here until we kill him. Although, look at this. Down low, he does do pretty decently. He's trying to get away from me. Again, my objective is just stay above him the whole time. If he's trying to cut into me, I'll just literally pull the nose up. And here we go. Let's see what he wants to do from here. He is out in front. I could have killed him right there. He crossed my HUD. Let's just see what else he's got. Take a little shot there. There we go. Missed, but I do want to give him something to think about. All right. He's pretty egregiously out in front here, so let's just go ahead and finish this. There we go. F-22 kills Rafale at will. To be honest, he did better than I thought he would in the Rafale. Still, absolutely no match for the F-22. He's going to crash on top of that building, I think. Yep. Every time. Time and time again in the comment section, I see people citing the Rafale as being able to beat the F-22. And they don't take in the stuff that we talked about earlier. You know what I'm going to do here? I'm actually just going to give him my tail. Let's go ahead and start him offensive. Just like the video. Give him my tail. We'll start flaring because he's definitely going to shoot a Fox 2. There it is. Doesn't track. And there's probably a second one coming, so we're going to keep dropping flares here. And we'll look back. Oh, that missile was actually kind of close. And there he goes. And he's out in front here. And once again, keep in mind, I have fuel tanks. They are low drag, but they're fuel tanks nonetheless. And look at this. We're just going to literally stay with him here. He can do, like, one or two good turns. And then he's done. He's got no more energy to really fight the F-22. This downward spiral is really his best chance. And he's hoping that I screw it up. It's not like he's going to outperform the F-22 in this kind of scenario. Look at this. He's trying to cut into me. We'll pull up. See, I can do whatever I want. I can just pull up at will. And just to prove that I can do whatever I want, I will kill him right here. There we go. It's that easy in the F-22. You just decide to kill him, and he's done. I do do a lot of videos against the F-22, but sometimes it is nice to sit in this thing and dogfight. We did one not long ago where we did the J-10 against the F-22, and it absolutely killed me. I don't think I won a single round. Here we go. He's going to hit us with a split S this time. Okay, here we go. Fox 2 flares out, not tracking. And we'll pull into him, create aspect problems, pull up, because he tried to get nose on there. He tried to dive down on me and gun me. Saw it coming. He still has one Fox 2. Very careful of that. There it is. Not going to track. Didn't really even need flares. I did drop them, but you don't need them. It was never going to make that turn. He's trying to get nose on here. I'm going to out-climb it again. Nice try there, though. He's starting to become a little bit more aggressive in the Rafale as he adjusts to the fight. Just slightly more problematic. He's had two nose on opportunities. Nothing the F-22 couldn't deal with, of course. But he had a good try there. Here we go. We'll stay on top of him here again. And he's going to try to flat scissor with me underneath. Oh, you're trying to out one circle me. You're not that guy, bud. You're not that guy. Not in the Rafale anyway. Oh, he kind of spun it out here, but he's back into the two circle. He recovered that pretty nicely. And now he's got a height advantage on me. That's interesting. A couple blind shots there. I don't think he honestly knows where I am. I think his nose was on top of me. He was doing some blind luck shooting, which is probably all he's ever going to get in this fight, I think. Follow that with him here. And we got him nicely. He's been out-rated, so he's defensive now. He's going into the vertical. Again, I could just pull him into the hut and kill him here, but I kind of want to see what else he's got up his sleeve. Let's just follow this. I'm dropping flares too just to taunt him a little bit. Look at this. He's got no answer. This whole time he's been dead. Let me give him a couple bursts here just to scare him. Just trying to miss on purpose here. There we go. He's underneath me. He wants this fight again. And he's going to cross my nose. Yes, he is. Alright, well he definitely took some rounds there. He's leaking something. Probably fuel. And he's still in the fight though. Seems alright. Aircraft is somewhat responsive to him still, it looks like. And should we kill him right here? Oh, I did nick the top of him, but not too much. And he's going to try to roll. I'll hit him with a little bit of a vertical climb here. Just to loop around behind. Just really trying to demonstrate how the F-22 can just do whatever it wants in this scenario. It doesn't really matter what he does. Oh, I missed that one. Alright, here we go. Almost had him there. And, oh, that could have killed him right there. I didn't react in time. My bad. Oh, nice move. He got behind me. I'm going to climb. He just couldn't pull his nose up to really make that count. But that's it. I think I've had enough. Let's go ahead and finish this fight here. As he shoots out in front, we'll follow that. Give him a little roll, and... He's dead. There we go. So there it is. I mean, I gave that Rafale basically every opportunity to try whatever he wanted. And, quite honestly, he was still no match for the F-22. Splash, one Rafale. Alright, let's do one last round for anybody who is still here. But I think it's pretty obvious that the Rafale is not really a match for the F-22. Again, time and time again, I see it in the comment section. Oh, Rafale can beat the F-22 in a dogfight. I don't know why and how people came to that conclusion, but I think it's just that video online. But they don't consider the whole starting defensive thing. Into the vertical here. And since I just want to give him one more chance, because it is 3-0 to the F-22, but he really was trying last round. I think he's coming to his own here. Missile went right by. And he's kind of getting the hang of the Rafale a little bit more. Every fight he's a little better. So we'll give him a fourth round just to see what he can do with it. But that missile also does not track. So he's all out of Fox 2s there. I think he's asking those Micahs to turn a little more than they're capable of. Kind of treating them like a 9X. But here we go. Almost got him there. Pull up a little bit here because he tried to get underneath me. Look at that. Tried to slice in with his nose. The thrust vectoring really does do wonders for you. Look at him. He's trying to be super aggressive in the one circle. But every time he tries to cut in with that nose, I just pull up, pull out of the way. And there's nothing he can do about it. If he was doing this against an F-16 or something, I think he would murder the F-16. But the F-22 is no F-16, especially not in a one circle. That was a little short. I thought the nose would come up more than that. And he's going to climb into the vertical. He thinks I can't pull the nose up, which is kind of true. I was a little too slow there. But you can see I'm on his tail and he is defensive. And he's going to go into the vertical. Into the sun to try to hide. It's not going to do him any good here. I'm still locked in on a 6 and he is dead. Almost had him. Oh yeah, here we go. Yeah, there we go. 4-0 to the Raptor. I think the point has been proven. Very good fights though. Good effort by the Rafale.
