MoM-z14 is the oldest Galaxy ever discovered. And it's the most distant galaxy ever seen. Spotted by the James Webb Space telescope. With its record-breaking redshift of z = 14.44. MoM-z14 400 times smaller than the Milky Way. And about 240 light-years across wide. Similar in mass to the Small Magellanic Cloud. It's also rich in nitrogen relative to carbon.
According to Astronomers . . .
MoM-z14 existed just 280 million years after the Big Bang. When the universe was 2% of its current age. And 20 million years older than the previous record holder. The earliest galaxy named was JADES-GS-z14-0. Which existed 300 million years after the Big Bang.
