Men’s doubles action as Kang/Ki face No.2 seeds Chiu/Wang

Look at that. Oh, beautiful placement. That's the light touch. At the net. Oh, quickly got his racket on that. Still going. How did he make that back? He is a character. Ki Dong Joo, such an entertainer. 10-7. Nice drop. Follows it up with the smash from the backcourt. Kang Min Hyuk to seal the 11-8 lead at the break. A recovery from Kang. And again. Oh, he's still defending. Fantastic work by the Koreans. I mean, that was a defensive masterclass. Points for all four of them to keep this rally going. I mean, Ki Dong Joo, again, look at the ability there. Hesitation there from Kang. Looking for the stop drop. Three-point advantage now for Chu and Wang. Again, just look at the defense from Korea. Constantly being pushed further and further back by Chu and Wang. How is he doing it? They've stayed focused. They've remained calm throughout, despite the antics on the other side of the court. I mean, we talked about Ki Dong Joo again, defending from the floor. But Wang Chi Lin and Choo Seung Chae have stayed on target, stayed on track. And it is Chu and Wang who deliver the first blow. First game. Yep, you can smash. And the death touch at the net by Wang Chi Lin. Service over. No challenges. It's called in. Ah, it was right on the line, in fact. That's superb. Six-point game now. It was good recovery from the Koreans. We know Ki Dong Joo has plenty of flair in his game, but sometimes he's just not able to go about things in a sensible way. Trying to attack Chu's backhand. Are they really enjoying themselves here, the fans in the Taipei Arena? No, it's gone long. Yeah, well left. They do it on the first time of asking. Fantastic win for Choo Seung Chae and Wang Chi Lin, the number two seeds at home. And they secure the big win in straight games. 21-18, 21-15. Wang Chi Lin secures title number three here at the Taipei Open.
