It’s hard to believe it’s already been three years since I purchased this home—and what an incredible journey it’s been transforming every inch of it with the signature Lone Fox touch! Each room has been reimagined from top to bottom, and it’s truly an honor to share this space with all of you.
Much of what you see here is vintage, which means, unfortunately, I don’t have links for everything. However, I do carefully source and curate vintage furniture, art, lighting, and decor on my website. Feel free to take a look: https://lonefox.com/

Hello everybody. Welcome back to my
channel. It is Drew here from Lone Fox
and I have literally waited three years
to make this
[Music]
video cuz I've now finished half of my
house. And I know 3 years sounds like
quite a long time to some of you guys,
but I have literally been working on
this by hand, creating content around
all of it and sharing it here on my
channel over the past 3 years. And this
is sort of the finalized tour of the
space I've been living in because to be
honest with you, we are going to be
doing a lot downstairs, which is coming
up on the channel. But there are going
to be some rooms downstairs that sort of
stay as storage spaces and aren't really
going to be made overs. I have befores
of every single room. So, as I walk
through all these spaces, I'm going to
be sharing with you guys things I've
done to the rooms, um, paint colors I've
added, things I've collected, furniture
pieces, just really things that stick
out to me in each space. Why don't I go
ahead and share it with you? Now, this
house is a 1929 Spanish duplex. So, it's
a stacked mirrored duplex, meaning that
the units are identical, but I connected
them up. So, it's kind of like one large
house essentially. And the room I'm in
here is the upper living room, kind of
like the grand living room, as I call
it. So, we're going to start our tour
off in this space. And I love this room.
It's actually like the reason I bought
this house. I wanted a really unique
ceiling line, and that's what I got in
this room. It has really high like 16
foot vated ceilings with a cathedral
ceiling as well. It's a really beautiful
dark color. And in the photos actually
of this space, which I'll pop it up of
the before photos, I thought the ceiling
was not very pretty. I knew I was going
to have to like restain it or do
something to it. But then when I came
and toured the space, it was so much
more beautiful than I expected. I didn't
have to touch the ceilings. But I did
have to restain the floors in the entire
upper because there's lots of like pet
stains on the wood floor and water spots
and it just was very very dingy and
damaged. So, we sanded down all the
floors up here, restained all of them.
And another thing while I'm standing
over here is I actually knocked the
mantle off of this fireplace. I found
out that the mantle was an add-on or I
knew it was because it just didn't feel
right with the space. So, we knocked it
off, replastered the front of it, and it
really gave it this like really nice
streamlined look. Over here, I have my
TV on an easel, which is really cool cuz
we can move this around. So, if we have
more guests over on this side, we can
pivot it really super easy. And these
bookcases, this whole wall essentially
has been redone because the bookcases
were not here before. These are actually
IKEA Billy bookcases that I completely
reframed the fronts of, added new
baseboards, even slanted the shelves and
added these little bronze railings to
kind of create a picture moment. And we
added electrical to the back sides and
then sort of fixed them into the walls.
Retrimmed the fronts, painted them all
in so it really looks like authentic
built-ins that have been here for a long
time. They have not been. They've only
been here for probably 2 years. And I
love the way that they look. They really
create high impact in the space, too.
Because the ceilings are so tall, I
wanted areas I can decorate and add fun
trinkets and decor. These stained glass
doors actually came out of a 1920s
house, so same era as mine from
Pasadena. I found them at an
architectural salvage store, and they
were window panels before, so I turned
them into doors, added handles, hinges,
everything needed to. But something I
will say is that living with them,
they're really, really beautiful, but
they don't let a lot of light in. And
this is a massive light source because
the sun sets on this side. So, we get a
lot of light in here. And I've been
playing around with the idea of swapping
all these glass panels to be clear
glass. Uh just because I think it will
let in so much more light in this living
room space. So, that's just an idea. The
only kind of thing I've been wanting to
change in the upper full space is that.
So, let me know what your thoughts are.
So, yeah, this is sort of this side of
the living room. And when you walk over
here, there's actually this little bonus
room in the upper unit. This is not
actually in the lower. And this area
kind of turned into a little lounge. It
used to be an office space. So, I can
share with you guys what it once was
before and what it's now turned into,
which is kind of a lounge area. And I
love this room. The view actually from
where I'm sitting like out here is so so
good. You can see like all the different
elements like the couch, the chairs, the
bookcases on the side. It's a really
cool room, especially at night time.
Like it's just such a nice vibe. You can
open up the door. There's a balcony out
here as well. All around. I love this
space. And that's kind of like our
living room area. I'm going to now lead
us out to kind of like the stairwell
landing that takes us to the rest of the
[Music]
home. And this is kind of like the
landing that connects everything up. So,
we have the stairwell going downstairs.
We This used to be a closet actually
right here on the left. There was a
door, but it had a window in it. So, I
took the door off, added a little
countertop, and also added a section for
my dog to be able to go out onto the
balcony there. And then through this
archway is our dining room. And then
through this one over here is bedroom
spaces. Okay, so here we are in the
dining room. And this is one of my
favorite rooms in the entire upstairs. I
love it. It gets so much light. I also
love the wall treatment. It's a lime
wash on the walls. Has original painting
on all of the beams as well. And believe
it or not, I found this light fixture
for like $200 on Facebook Marketplace.
And it just is such a cool fixture. It's
one of my favorite ones in the entire
home. And this table here weighs about
800 lb. I ended up getting this from a
vintage seller a long time ago. And I've
transferred it between multiple houses
of mine or multiple spaces I've had. I
can't imagine ever getting rid of this
table. It's such a cool one. And I
always get questions actually about this
tapestry. Found this at a rug store in
Los Angeles. They were getting rid of a
lot of their inventory and they sold
this at a great price so I had to pick
that up. And this wall over here is kind
of just like a decorative
serve filled wall. I actually have this
candle l that we can use for dinner
parties and these little candles as well
which is fun. This console here is kind
of like Tetris. They kind of connect up
together or you can pull them out
longer. And I found this on marketplace.
A mass majority I will say of pieces
this was also on marketplace. Like I
find so many fun things on Facebook
Marketplace. And believe it or not, this
wall, this arch here was never here.
This used to be a full wall when I moved
in. There was a tiny little door on the
side, which you're going to see, but I
did have this opened up. It was like one
of the first things I did when
purchasing the house because I wanted to
connect up the kitchen a little bit
more. I actually originally wanted to
remove this entire wall here and this
entire wall here, but it was going to
cost me over $100,000. And I was like,
you know what? Nope. That's not
happening. We are not doing that. So, I
instead added this large arch, which I
still feel like looks so nice. It really
opens up the space. And behind that, I
created this kind of coffee bar section,
which this used to be sort of a butler's
pantry is what it was called. So, just
like lots of kitchen storage, but now
it's a coffee bar. I painted all the
cabinetry this kind of dark chocolate
brown color. And the marble throughout
the kitchen, which I'm going to take you
into in a minute, is Kakuta Monae. And I
had all of this like hand placed. I
literally went to the stone yard and
placed all the templates on the stone in
the exact spots I wanted them because I
had this vision for like having the
stone, which you're going to see in the
kitchen, heavier at the top and then
like lighter at the bottom. So, it kind
of created this border and yeah, so I
was really intentional when picking the
stone, especially when I was spending
that much money. I was going to get it
in the right spot. Let me take you guys
into the kitchen now because this is our
dining
space.
[Music]
Here's the kitchen. And a lot of people
actually think this kitchen is a lot
larger than it is. It's a very, very
small kitchen. This is an apartmentiz
kitchen, if you will. And I really made
the most of it. I maximized all the
spaces. I added the marble because I
wanted to ensure that if I was paying
for the stone, like I said, like we were
putting it everywhere possible. So, I
brought it like down the wall here. Like
even all the way down to the floor here,
underneath the cabinets right there. Um,
I added shelves of marble as well. Redid
the windows, just painted them and added
new trim on them, and found these really
cool 1920s pendant lights from a antique
shop in Pasadena. The cabinet color in
here is Van Baron Brown. And all of the
hardware is from Rejuvenation. It's from
their Mission line if you are curious.
Dishwasher. I actually wrapped this in
copper. It was a very very popular DIY
on my channel. It still is getting a
beautiful patina to this day. Like it
kind of ages each day and looks better
and better, which I love. And it has
been perfect ever since I did that
video, which is probably like 2 years
ago now, which is crazy. This is kind of
like the main food prep area. Well, I
mean, food prep's like back here, but
then you can cook over here. On this
side, we have the stove, which was
kindly gifted from Wayfair when I did a
project with them a while back. And I
created the vent hood here and plastered
the entire kitchen in a color called
Drew's White uh by Miod. It's a plaster
and it looks so good on the walls. I
love love love the color. And then
through this archway is actually our
breakfast nook. And I knew in the
breakfast nook I wanted it to be a
little bit more playful. So I did a
striped pattern on the wall. I literally
did this all by hand with tape. Lighted
it all one afternoon and it really
wasn't too bad. And I also created this
table which is really cool. It was one
of the first things I brought into the
house. Found this really unique antique
tile tabletop and then added it on top
of a pot and then on top of a rock.
They're all glued together with like
industrial strength adhesive, but it
makes up this really great table. And
then at the table, I have a set of Alana
chairs. And these are so cool. They're
like a brutalist leather and iron chair.
And I just think the shape is so unique.
And I also have some new curtains. I
just added these yesterday. Kind of love
them though. They're a little patterned
curtain from Westm. They're actually
napkins um whenever I swap out my cafe
curtains. These are just simple dinner
napkins. So, I buy like three packs and
pop them on the walls. The base color is
dim if you're curious. And then the one
on top is Joe's white. So, that's the
two colors both from Pharaoh and Ball.
And I also transferred in here a little
bit of the marble. So, we brought the
marble just into the toppers of these
built-ins. And yeah, I feel like that's
all that's happening in here. This is
where Winston eats as well. And we tend
to do a lot of like computer work in
this space because it's nice and bright
and airy. And I just love being in the
breakfast nook area. I think in the
future what could be really fun is
actually doing like a built-in bat
situation since the windows are a little
higher. We had that opportunity. So that
could be something that happens in the
future. Um but I do want to take you
actually back through here to the
laundry
room. We have the fridge. We have fruit.
And then we have in here the laundry
room. And there is supposed to be a
railing here for the stairwell, but it's
currently being made. It's been made for
a long time. Um, and it's going to be
added here once it's done. But this room
I actually painted. I think it's
schoolhouse white from Pharaoh Ball. I
love love love how high impact this tile
countertop is. And I did this laundry
room very very impromptu. And I was
like, what tile can I get same day? So I
ended up contacting Zeia Tile and they
had two tiles in stock. one of which was
glazed and one that was unglazed and the
unglazed one was like a white. So I
actually stained it with wood stain and
turned it brown. Then I sealed it and
the glossy ones just contrast with it.
So there's kind of like this gloss and
this matte factor that I really like.
And I also have this great armois which
I love this. It's like the perfect
little laundry hutch. Um there's lots of
storage and we normally have lots of
paper towels. A lot of you guys probably
saw this makeover, but I was so excited
about this cabinet because it fits paper
towels perfectly, so we always store
them here. But clearly, we need to
restock this solid bronze vase that's a
fish. I have this beautiful little
vessel that has like cherubs, little
embellishments like this. So, that's our
laundry room. And let's head out to the
hallway so I can share with you the
hallway and then all the bedrooms. So, I
really love this view when you walk into
the hallway area. We had the coffee bar,
then the dining room, but I love how you
can kind of get a peak of our yellowish
toned hallway with the bright red doors.
I did a high lacquer door in the
hallway. Two different colors again from
Pharaoh Ball. I did string or actually
it's cord. I did cord on the walls and
we have eating room red on the doors in
a high gloss lacquered finish. And I
really wanted to do something kind of
fun and unique in this space. I also had
a skylight in here, so I knew that the
gloss would kind of have a impact from
the light that we have from above. So, I
thought that could be cool. And I
sprayed all the doors in here, the high
gloss red, and then we painted it.
That's kind of mainly what I did in
here. I also added this lantern. And we
did have colored glass up here, but I
ended up actually taking the colored
glass out because I like just the
natural light coming through. It
connects up a lot of our bedrooms.
There's actually a room back here, which
we're probably going to head into first,
which is Marie's bedroom. Then we have
my bathroom, my bedroom, and our guest
space. So, let's head to Marie's room
first room. And a lot of people,
especially me, I love this room. And
Marie, I think she likes it a lot, too.
But we actually did a plaster treatment
in here, which was so so timeconuming.
We had to plaster all the walls. That's
why the ceiling didn't get plastered was
because I was like, we are painting
this. I'm not plastering it anymore. So,
we put it on the walls and then we had
to sand it all off. But, it looks so
good. You can literally see the actual
stone like little bits in here. And in
this space, a lot of the furniture is
actually from Lulu and Georgia. So, we
have this really beautiful nightstand
and kind of dresser set. And then I also
have this bed that we also got from
them. So, another reason that this room
is the color palette that it is is
because it's actually neighboring a red
home. The neighboring house is literally
bright red and it bounces a bright red
reflection in here. And when I first saw
this space, it was pure white and it
looked pink. It was like a bright pink
color. I cannot imagine living in a room
that had that much red bounce. So, I
ended up actually designing it to kind
of encapsulate the red bound. And I feel
like that's exactly what I did here.
It's kind of this warm suede. That's the
color of it. And it has this orangey
tone, orangey brown kind of conac
leather color. And in the end, it really
does look like suede walls. We also have
rugs throughout the entire house, which
I haven't even touched on. I feel like
Have we seen any? Oh, yeah. In the
dining room, we saw one. There's rugs
throughout the entire house for my
collection with June Loy. This is one of
our rugs. This is a monosito in here.
And this rug is so cozy, so plush. Yeah,
this is Marie's bedroom. And I spend
actually a lot of time in here. We love
just transferring and hanging out in
each other's rooms. I think that we are
now going to pop into the guest room
before heading into my bedroom. This
bedroom is wallpaper. It's a grass cloth
that kind of has this floral print on it
and it almost resembles a block print,
but I just wanted to do something really
high impact. I also love just
experimenting with each room I do. I
like them to feel a little different
from the last. So that's why each room
they kind of have a fully different look
from space to space, but I think that's
fun. It's like you're stepping into a
new new space each time. And so in this
room, we have the Fairfax rug from my
collection. And we actually diyed the
headboard in here. It's a walllength
headboard and it was super easy to
create but it kind of makes it feel a
little bit like a built-in bed/ like
hotelesque vibe. That's what I wanted.
Found the nightstands in here on
Facebook Marketplace and this really
really cool dresser which in this drawer
here Otto heightman purchased in
Cincinnati Ohio 1837 later went to
Columbus Ohio in 193 in 1913 and then
after the big flood was brought to
Munich in 1971. So, this has had a long
journey. I think it's a really cool
piece and I love the marble on the top.
All the curtains actually throughout the
entire home if you're curious are from
two pages. I really love their curtain
panels. And yeah, this bedroom is really
cute. It's definitely different from the
other spaces in the home. But that's why
it's a guest bedroom. You know, it's
like different from your everyday
environment and guests are here for only
a little bit of time. So, I figured why
not give them something fun. Now,
something else in this room is actually
a bathroom, which is right over here.
This is Marie's bathroom and one of my
most viral projects I would ever say
that I've done. And that was concreta.
And what concreta is essentially a
concrete plaster product that you put
right over the top of tile. So the
original tile, this little kind of
border here, it's actually tile. All
down here was subway tile. I just went
right over the top of it with my plaster
product. And I did this about 2 years
ago. Still going strong. The entire
shower as well. completely plastered
over the top of the tile. So, there was
no demo. And that's what the product is
made for. It's like for a no demo
transformation. And I love it. It
completely transformed this space. It's
so smooth and like cleanable, wipable.
The shower is great. You guys are going
to get an overview of like what it's
looking like. And it looks so so so
good. The color of this product I did is
Westwood Beige. And the vanity here is
Aurora Brown by Benjamin Moore. A lot of
the accents are, you know, from Facebook
Marketplace. and some artwork from my
online store, which we are now going to
head into my room. Here we are in my
bedroom, which is actually the last kind
of large room in the house. However,
there are two little small rooms over
here I'm going to share with you. It
actually had a massive chandelier
hanging right here um that almost went
down to here. And it was just like a
white box in here. So, I actually ended
up painting the ceiling this kind of
ochre really pretty golden amber color
and then did two navy stripes under it.
And I think that the stripes really add
a nice tailored look to the room.
They're so simple, but they add like a
lot of impact. Um, and I think it's
definitely something I would consider
doing in more spaces in the future. I
love the little simple line detail bed
in here. I love this bed. It is from
Jake Arnold and Kraton Barrel. Found
these really cool pendant lights on
Facebook for like $30. And so we hung
them on either side of the bed above
these nightstands. This is actually
where I like have my TV. And in here,
this used to be green and I ended up
painting it to look like wood, but it
actually provides a lot of storage. I
use the entire bottom as a dresser. The
entire top has like a ton of my like
filming equipment in it. And then the
center has my TV. So, it's just all
around a really nice piece of storage.
My dog's little crate is over here.
That's for when I go out in the day. I
don't want him running around the house
and being crazy. And then he has his
lounger over here. This is literally
Winston's chair because he loves
sleeping on top of the IKEA lounger,
which is really funny. But over in here
is my office space. One of my most used
spaces. Turned out so cute. I actually
completely wood panled this small room.
And this was not even a room. This used
to be cabinets. So, it was kind of like
a pass through. It was considered a
dressing room in the space. And so, you
would have your little kind of dressing
counter here. And then there was these
cabinet doors here that you would open
and have additional clothing or whatever
you would need. First full year I lived
here, I never even opened these
cabinets. So I ended up pulling the
cabinets out, creating this entire like
wood encapsulated office area and a
built-in desk. So now I have this little
workspace and I love it so much. Kind of
in between the bathroom and my bedroom.
I'm the only person that uses this space
so I don't really care that like it's
connected up to my office and bedroom
area. But when you lead in to here, this
is my bathroom. It's kind of been
through a few different phases as well.
So Lowe's actually made this bathroom
over for me about a year ago. They did
all the tile in here on the floor on the
walls. So after they did the space, I
just went in and kind of added some
personal touches. I did the blue paint
channeled from the blue tile here and I
added some cool vintage pieces. I also
got this beautiful vanity from Lowe's as
well. But I have to say this bath wall
here is one of my favorite vignettes in
the whole house. I just feel like it's
such a cool vibe. Love the mix of like
silver and the black sconces with the
bathtub. That is kind of the entire
upstairs. I can't believe it. Like look
how cute it is out here though. See that
little like furniture piece? I don't
know if you can see it in the
background. It's really cute though. And
that, my friends, was the house tour. I
cannot believe how much we have gotten
done in 3 years. It feels like a long
time. But when you look back at all the
spaces, there really was so much that
went into each room. And also, I really
wanted to live with the house for a
while and kind of figure out what each
space wanted to turn into and what each
space needed to transform into. And I
feel like we were able to do that. And
if there's any space in this home that
you were curious on how I created it,
there's probably a video on my channel
for it. So, I'll do my best to link
below a lot of the coordinating videos
for each of the rooms. If you are
curious, along with any of the products
throughout the house, like whether it be
furniture or I'll link whatever you guys
are looking for in the description box.
So, thank you all so so much for
watching this video. And if you have not
already subscribed to my channel, make
sure to do so. I post brand new videos
every single week here on Lone Fox. And
we have multiple spaces downstairs to
get to. And the downstairs is going to
be a journey. So, follow along and let's
get started with it. Bye, guys.
