sun kissed summer makeup.

I'm currently in Cairns. It was very last minute. I literally woke up at 6 a.m. It's a little bit more flight and now I'm here. I arrived yesterday and I ended up going it to the Mission Impossible Premiere, which is absolutely incredible. Sorry, I'll get started on my makeup and then we'll chit chat throughout. But I'm going to another screening tonight. I don't explain it, I'm going to Cairns Film Festival. And so I thought I'd do like a bronzy, beach, sun-kissed makeup look because the sun is out here. Everyone's actually by the pool and I'm inside, but I'm gonna be out in a second. I've been tanning all day trying to get some color. Anyway, let's get started. So skin prep wise, I usually would do quite a lot. But I travel hand luggage only for planes because honestly, I've gone, I put my bag under twice. It's been lost both times. So I've just taken that as faith. I'm never meant to check my baggage in. I have to be like mindful about which moisturizers I brought. So I've literally just got my CeraVe. I mean, I love CeraVe. I can't tell if the lighting's good or not. I hope it's good. I hope you can actually see what I'm doing. This is what I'm going in with first. It's the By Terry Brightening CC Serum. This and the Glow Recipe one are my go-to's or the L'Oreal Glowtion. They're just, it's like a bronze glow in a bottle. Like all of those products, they're the go. My friend is in like a film production company basically and so he comes to Cannes every single year and then last minute they were like, you know, if you and Clara, my best friend, want to come out and join us, then you're more than welcome to. She was basically waiting on a modeling job, like if it was gonna come through or not. So she couldn't book her flights. Then I had to decide, I had to make the decision all by myself. Do I go or do I not? I think in my head I was like, no, I'm not gonna go and then the more and more I thought about it, I was like, what am I doing? Like absolutely, I'm gonna go. Yeah, 6 a.m. I was on the phone to my mom and I was like, right, book the flights, we're going. And here I am in sunny, sunny France. This next product has honestly become a new favorite of mine. It's the Dior Forever Glow Star Filter and it's just unreal. A good drugstore alternative is the E.L.F. Halo Glow. I still love that and use that, but you know when you just slightly prefer a product, then you just pack that over. Because these are all my favorites, because obviously I can only bring a few bits with me. Okay, this is a concealer that I used in my last video and I really, really enjoyed and I still have been absolutely loving it. It's the Studio 10 Concealer. Whilst it doesn't really add a lot of coverage, I'm gonna be so honest, if you've got marks and blemishes and things, it's not going to cover that. But just to kind of like even out the complexion, it kind of acts as a bit of a skin tint, but just like in the areas I kind of need it, as opposed to, because I just hate the feeling of having like makeup all over my face. It takes a lot for me to do like a full red carpet look. Although it was so cool yesterday, because obviously this is my first ever time in Cannes, so I got to see like the whole red carpet thing and see a little bit of Tom Cruise. We had a really, really giggle. He did like a speech at the end of the film, obviously when everyone clapped. I didn't realize it's like a normal thing in films, like clap for 10 minutes after the film and apparently the length of the clap is like how good the film was. Can you imagine you just did a film and like literally no one clapped? It's just silence afterwards, that'd be very humbling. Yeah, as he was doing his speech, there was this guy behind him and I could not stop staring at him, because when I say he was mogging so hard, mogging is like that, um, like the smile, it's like... I'm not joking, he was literally clapping, like going... Like he knew the cameras were on him and to be fair, he did steal the show, like Tom Cruise was doing his speech. Was I watching Tom Cruise? No, I was watching him. Right, let's blend this in. Yeah, you probably like see just like how natural it looks. It just looks like my skin. I did just go and get myself a glass of wine, because when in France, it's rude not to. The wine here, oh my god, there's literally an ant infestation on the floor, I'm not even joking with you right now. What the fridoodlecakes, why are you here? Because I've been getting into rosé recently. I, my whole entire life, have been like, I hate rosé, never drink it. I'm literally like the only one, because obviously like all my friends love it and it's kind of turned into a personality trait. I hate, I hate to say it, but it has. A few days ago, no, that's not true. Like, I would say maybe a few weeks ago, I started liking rosé again, and I've gone off white wine, which is crazy, because I used to always pick white wine over red wine. Then I got into red wine, and now I don't even like white wine. What's going on with me? She's getting heat stroke, maybe it's how much time I'm spending in the sun. Go on in with the Westman Atelier, but I put it on my brush from the product, and then I'm just gonna pop it in my cheekbones to make me look bron... I was about to mix the word bronze and sun-kissed. Bron-kissed? That sounds like a flirting fraction. I just love this product so much, it blends effortlessly. I've got so many blushes that I love, but the one I packed for this trip, because I feel like this is just like the most sun-kissed colour out there, and it's, I can't, no it's not, it's Spicy Marg in The Road Blushes. I adore The Road Blushes. I honestly think they're incredible, like you literally just need the tiniest amount, because they are very pigmented, and they don't have any glow to them, which I don't mind though, because you can kind of, I bring that back through other products, like the Dior Starfields, it adds like so much glow to my face, and then I'll go in with this Westman Atelier highlighter, which I also adore, and I might just like bring it onto the nose. I never know if I quite, I see like girls put like quite a lot on their nose, and it looks incredible on them, and I don't know if I love it on myself yet, but I keep trying it, because I'm like, if it looks good on them, then maybe I'm just being blind to myself. Okay, and this is one of my favorite all-time steps, is like to kind of like merge those two together. I love taking this Ilia bronzer in the shade Ray, and this is a shimmery bronzer. Yeah, blend them kind of together, and then this has been my favorite thing in the entire world. I've just fallen, I used to love it, but like, you know when you just really fall in love with a product? That's been me recently, this Merit Complexion Stick, because it covers your imperfections, but it still looks like your skin, and that is what I love, and what I need in my life. Take my brush, this is the IT Cosmetics brush, it's fantastic, because I find I can like concentrate where I want it with this side, because it's like small, and then I'll kind of let it sit for a bit, blend out with this, and then go over it with this side, because it's bigger. Okay, and then like literally the perfect base for like a bronzy eye is this By Terry Ombre Black Star in the shade Matte Latte. I'll use my lash line, and then bring it out. The thing about this is I found that you can't actually see it when you put it on, and when you blend it out, it just looks beautiful, I can't explain it. And then I might also just run a bit on the side of my nose, as a nose contour, because then it doubles up, and then you're saving products, which is great for when I'm packing, because I have left a bit of space in case we do get to go shopping. Okay, and then to set that in place, I'm actually going to take this Prada palette, it's got some lovely shades. I'm just going to go for this one here, and just kind of sweep it over where I put that shade. It's got a bit of shimmer to it, but it's not like reflecting, it's just like a lovely sheen, as opposed to like a full metallic moment. I found out today, this is really exciting, I'm going on a brand trip with Cicely to France, which will be absolutely incredible, I'm so excited. But the dates, it's so weird, like I'm literally already in France on a holiday anyway. And I don't think I have any other holiday plans thus far. Might go to Greece with Cara. We'll see where the wind takes us, I just... Summer, it excites me. Like winter, I feel like I just turned to a shell of myself as a human being. Friends, I apologise for the person I've become, I feel... No, I don't think I'm that bad, but I'm just happier in summer. Like, I would feel sorry if someone met me in winter and then met me in summer, because they'll be two different people. Now that that is blended, I might also just quickly... This is what I love doing, is going back in with a concealer brush, and just like blending that bit to sharpen it up a bit. And then I'm going to powder into place. No, I'm not, that was a lie. I'm going to take this West Middletea highlighter and pop it on my cheeks. I kind of prefer doing my concealer before I put highlighter on, because then it blends the concealer into the... I don't know, do you know what I mean? Does that make sense? The Rare Beauty powder, I do really, really enjoy this. Because it sets your face, but it doesn't take away... I feel like I sound like a broken record of makeup, but it's just because I like the same things, and then when I find products that do what I want it to, I'm like, it's great. If you can hear squeaking, that is because my knee is like, on Clara's bag at the moment. Making me giggle. Lovely. That's the base pretty much done. Going on to eyes now. Mascaras that I've been loving are the L'Oreal Paradise Big Deal. It's just like, this is super black, really lengthens your lashes. The only issue I have found is, because obviously it's not waterproof, my eyes water because of hay fever. So it's not this mascara, it's just any mascara that isn't waterproof. It will like, leak when my eyes leak, because my eyes are annoying like that. Anyway, I'm curling my eyelashes. Oh my God, right, onto like, lash curler topic. I used my friend Miles' Tweezerman eyelash curler the other day. Honestly, it changed my life, and I need to get it. I need to purchase it ASAP, so I need to add that onto my to-do list. Honestly, I feel like my brain is so full, I literally have to write down the most mundane thing, otherwise I will forget to do it. Like, when I flew to Cairns, I literally forgot to tell my agent. I was at the airport, and I was like, oh my God, I've literally just agreed to this, having told my agent, so I had to do that. But anyway, today I'm going to go in with the Westman TLA mascara, because this is like, super light and natural. Clara's here! Oh, is it a vlog? Well, yeah, it's like, let me turn it around. There's Clara! Oh, she's breakdancing for me now. Oh wow, oh wow. Now that is a view I want to wake up to every single morning. We're always awake. We are, to be fair. I'm going to go for my brows, or I'm going to go at them. I'm taking the Ilia brow pencil, this is literally the only brow product I use. I've got my mascara. Okay, this is a really good trick. It's like getting your spoolie, and then brushing it away, and now it's literally gone. It's incredible. Filling in my tail, also going over like my beauty spots. Ooh, I think I've got a few more freckles today in the sun. Okay, and now lips. I'm going to take the Refi in the shade Mauve. This isn't actually as brown as I was, this is more pink than I usually go for. It's in the Clara shade, but I do really like it. I usually mix it in with like a browner thing I've got left upstairs, so not today. To finish it off, I'm taking the Dior lip glow oil in, what shade are you in? 001 pink. Honestly, this has become my new favourite thing. It's so nice. It's so moisturising. Ooh, no, I get to use the Refi highlighter. This is so exciting. Clara said she absolutely loved it, so it's called Topaz, and it's in a tube. I don't know how much to kind of use. Maybe I might just like pop a bit on the back of my hand, and then like apply it to my face. I've seen so many videos of this, and it literally looks like glass skin, so my hopes are high. Oh my god, that's stunning. A bit on the nose, of course. Oh my god, that's gorge. Gorge, gorge. I just brought you up to better lighting, so you can actually see makeup, but that's what it's looking like. Look at the glow. She's glowing.
