This vintage Art Deco chest of drawers had clearly been used as a plant stand- and the top was destroyed because of it. Between the black water rings, brittle finish, and dull looking Bakelite pulls, this dresser was in rough shape. But I couldn't let it go to waste.
In this video, I restore the walnut veneer top and drawer faces, fix the sagging drawers, clean up the stunning original hardware, and give the whole piece a bold, modern twist with black accents and a rich Odie's Oil finish.
Whether you love dramatic transformations, appreciate vintage craftsmanship, or just enjoy the satisfying process of furniture restoration and refinishing, this one should make you smile.
