You're receiving the Equity in Entertainment Award. You've always been such a voice and spoken up for the underrepresented. How important has that been for you? It's, I mean, it's everything to me. I remember growing up and not seeing a lot of faces like mine on screen. I remember being little thinking, oh, I should be blonde and I should have blue eyes. And that's always been something in the back of my mind. And then I realized that I had the ability to use my platform for people who needed the voices. And that's what it all became really rewarding. So I'm proud to be a Gomez and I'm proud to be who I am. This is such a crazy time in your life right now. Has everything kind of sunk in? Just the award buzz, the recognition you're getting for this movie. Have you had such that whirlwind with the press tour and everything? Now over Thanksgiving, have you had time to kind of just sit back and take it all in? A little bit. It has all been so surreal in the best possible way. Look, I'm lucky I have a job and a great family and support system. At the end of the day, I want to make things that move people, compel people, challenge people. And this was one of those dream jobs. Over Christmas, the holidays, do you get to just sit down and relax and put your PJs on? Yes, I'm going to do that. I'm going to be celebrating it with my family and my boyfriends. And we're just going to veg out, eat, do nothing. And cooking? Who does the cooking? Both of you? He'll do that part. But I've got a feeling you've given him a run for his money, right? Not necessarily. I think I've deceived the world into thinking I can cook well. I can cook certain things well, not everything. Does your sister come to you and your mom? Yes, my sister's becoming my best friend. She's turning 12. She's just cool. I love her. Have the best time today.
