Ed will never get old always something new and wonderful ❤
I was like, well, I should probably write that song now, that's probably a good thing to do.
So I wrote this song at about 2 o'clock in the morning, and I'm really glad I did.
It comes out tomorrow, everywhere.
And, you know, I'd encourage you to switch on your old device.
There's, you know, there was a lot of pain and heartache that I found from switching on my device,
but a lot of, like, heaping moments as well.
You know, I found, like, emails from my dad that I hadn't seen in ages of pictures that I'd seen.
It was like, it was a very nostalgic experience, both sad and happy.
But yeah, so that's what this song is, it's kind of a nostalgic song that's sad and happy.
I found my old phone today
In a box that I had hidden away
Nostalgia trying to lead me astray
Maybe I would write some wrongs
I'd charge the battery again
Combinations, cause my heart's gonna change
Opened up and saw a billion names
Now I wanna make more decisions with my dead friend
Messages from all my exes
I kinda think that this was best left
There in the past where it belonged
I feel an overwhelming sadness
Of all the friends I do not have left
Seeing how my family has fractured
Growing out and moving on
I found my old phone today
I didn't stay, I tried to leave it there
No one spoke, they had to push them away
Leeching
My clothes had to still hold
But if I'm hoping it's for the dead
It's pleasure or pain
Trying to keep within my dream
And conversations with my dead friend
Are screaming
So full of love yet so bloody
I put it back inside that room once again
Nothing good will come from regretting
Conversations with my dead friend
Messages from all my exes
I kinda think that this was best left
There in the past where it belonged
I feel an overwhelming sadness
Of all the friends I do not have left
Seeing how my family has fractured
Growing out and moving on
I found my old phone today
