Starship Flight 9 Unexpected Timeline Happening in Hours, Never Seen Before...
"If all goes well, Starship launches tomorrow" — these were the words Elon Musk said yesterday, confirming that the third launch of Starship Version 2 is definitely happening, ensuring excitement.
And now, Starship Flight 9 is just under 12 hours away, what I'm certain many people need to know is the launch timeline for this vehicle.
Don't underestimate this, because for Starship Flight 9, SpaceX has made quite a few changes that make the launch timeline significantly different from previous launches. And of course, it will never end as early as the results of flights 7 and 8.
So, let's find out in today's episode of Alpha Tech:

The upcoming test flight marks the first launch of a Super Heavy booster that has previously flown, having launched and returned during Starship’s seventh test flight. Beyond this milestone of reuse, Super Heavy will undergo various tests aimed at generating data to improve the performance and reliability of future boosters. The Starship upper stage will repeat a suborbital trajectory and attempt to meet objectives that were not achieved in the two previous test flights, including the first payload deployment from Starship and multiple reentry tests aimed at eventually returning the vehicle to the launch site for catch.

Along with the latest images of the stacked Starship recently released by the company and according to SpaceX’s latest update, Flight 9 is scheduled to launch in the afternoon from Starbase, with liftoff targeted for 6:30 PM local time.
Let’s break down the launch timeline.
Roughly 1 hour and 15 minutes before liftoff, the Flight Director will conduct a go/no-go poll. If all systems check out, a GO will be issued, kicking off propellant loading.
Fueling takes about 40 to 45 minutes in total. It starts with Ship 25, which receives liquid oxygen (LOX) at around T-00:51:37, followed by methane at T-00:45:20. Shortly after, Booster 14 begins its own fueling sequence—methane loading starts at T-00:41:37 and LOX begins at T-00:35:52. Fueling wraps up at approximately T-00:03:20 for Ship and T-00:02:50 for the booster.
