SPLENDID CHINA FOLK CULTURE VILLAGE (锦绣中华民俗村)
Splendid China Folk Culture Village in Overseas China Town near Shenzhen Bay is enormous - you could easily spend a full day exploring it. It showcases detailed replicas of traditional homes and customs from China’s ethnic minority groups, such as the Dai, Miao, and Tibetans. Officially, China recognizes 56 distinct ethnic groups, with the Han Chinese making up the majority and the other 55 classified as minorities.

The park also features a Miniature Park section, with small-scale replicas of famous landmarks like the Potala Palace, the Forbidden City, and even a section of the Great Wall. We didn’t spend much time here - between the extensive walking and our eagerness to catch the live performances, we decided to prioritize the shows.

There are live performances throughout the park at different show times, and there are 3 standout productions that are not to be missed: "The Legend of the Desert" with its horseback stunts and dramatic storytelling, the "Oriental Neon Dress" show which presents a beautiful display of traditional attires (this is the only show that requires an additional ticket), and finally "The Dragon and Phoenix Dance" show that blends dance and acrobatics in a colorful finale.

The park is a convenient way to see a broad slice of China's cultural diversity, all in one place.
