Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia
Bailey has been fully embracing the
summer season at her waterfront home,
which she named Lake Bailey. Here, the
sun seems to always be shining, and life
feels effortlessly simple, or at least
it appears that way. Cynthia has lived
at her lake house for years now, and she
seems to fall more in love with it each
day. The mansion not only brings her
closer to nature, but also provides a
stunning and peaceful backdrop for her
photo shoots. Last month, Cynthia shared
a series of photos on her Instagram,
capturing moments of relaxation on her
back deck at Lake Bailey, also giving a
glimpse of the beautiful views both
inside and outside her home. Cynthia
bought her 2,000 ft home for just under
a million dollars back in 2016, and it
offers six bedrooms, soaring ceilings, a
private dock on the lake, and much more.
Cynthia Bailey started her career as a
model, but perhaps she's best known for
her role on the hit reality TV show, The
Real Housewives of Atlanta. She joined
the cast in 2010 during the show's third
season and quickly became a fan
favorite. During her time on Real
Housewives, Cynthia also pursued several
business ventures, including the Bailey
Agency School of Fashion, which was a
modeling school based in Atlanta.
Cynthia also launched an eyewear
collection, Cynthia Bailey Eyewear, and
a line of leather goods, Cargo by
Cynthia Bailey. Now, when it comes to
her family, Cynthia has one daughter,
Noel Robinson, born in 1999 from a
previous relationship with actor Leon
Robinson. In 2010, Cynthia married Peter
Thomas, a restorator, in a lavish
ceremony featured on Real Housewives,
but sadly they divorced in 2017. In
2020, Cynthia found love again and
married sports cer Mike Hill. Their
wedding, a beautiful affair held at the
Governor's Town Club in Aworth, Georgia,
was also featured on the series. Before
Cynthia moved into her beloved
lakehouse, she called a town home in the
Glenwood Park area of Atlanta home. In
2016, following her separation from
ex-husband Peter Thomas, Cynthia listed
this property for sale, which she bought
back in 2007 for just under 600K.
Throughout many seasons of The Real
Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia showcased
the home, including scenes in the
kitchen and other spaces before moving
to her current house. Cynthia's former
town home was both cozy and upscale, and
when it was time to sell, she listed it
for just under
$700,000. The residence was considerably
larger than many surrounding properties,
sending 4,500 square ft with four beds
and five baths. Spread across three
levels, the town home boasted
top-of-the-line finishes and communal
spaces like a bright kitchen with a
large Eden island and an attached
breakfast room. Other features included
smoke gray hardwood floors, two
terraces, and a rear deck on the main
level, ideal for entertaining.
Additional amenities included a fireside
great room, a formal dining room with an
attached outdoor terrace, a library, a
wreck room, and a fully finished
basement level. While this townhouse was
luxurious, spacious, and conveniently
located near shops and dining, her
current home is a definite upgrade.
Shortly after selling that property,
Cynthia purchased her current lakefront
estate known as Lake Bailey for
$960,000. Although her mansion's just
minutes from downtown Atlanta, it offers
a peaceful, secluded environment right
on the water. The home is situated on
nearly 1.5 acres surrounded by trees and
greenery that provide privacy and a
definite change from her city vibe town
home. fans of Real Housewives would have
witnessed Cynthia fall in love with the
Serene Lake home during season 9 of the
series. Interestingly, Cynthia might not
have discovered this property at all if
it weren't for the show. Initially
planning to downsize to an apartment in
the city after her divorce, she was
looking at properties and ready to move.
However, show producers suggested she
film a scene touring a larger house to
document her thought process. Reflecting
on this time, Cynthia said, "It's so
crazy. I went to film it thinking I
wouldn't like it and would easily be
able to write it off." And as soon as I
walked out on the deck, I was like, "Oh
my god, this is my house. I have to have
this house." And so she did. Acquiring
the home wasn't easy, though, as another
buyer had already bid on it. But Cynthia
outbid them and secured her dream home.
She moved into the house during the show
and showed off the finished furnished
property in season 10. It's easy to see
why Cynthia is so in love with her home.
The house features massive windows, wood
accents, and is surrounded by nature and
wildlife, offering private access to the
lake, like a permanent vacation. The
lush backdrop is also perfect for her
selfies, which Cynthia frequently shares
on social media. Inside the home offers
just over 2,000 square ft of living
space with six bedrooms, five bathrooms,
and features like a sun room, as well as
an additional finished basement. The
expansive outdoor deck is perfect for
entertaining or relaxing with glass
railings providing unobstructed views.
The open combined main level includes a
modern kitchen, a stone fireplace, a
seating area, and a glass staircase.
Most rooms, including a spacious family
room with a brick fireplace, have walls
of windows and glass sliders that open
right up to the outdoors, making the
most of the beautiful surroundings.
Throughout the home, you'll find steel
beams, ample natural light, gorgeous
hardwood flooring, and more. The chef's
kitchen is equipped with Viking
appliances, and most of the estate
features a modern open layout. Cynthia's
master suite also includes high
ceilings, windows all around, and plenty
of space. There's also a private deck
furnished with a cozy table and chairs
overlooking the lake. While the onsuite
bath offers a spa-like experience, the
upper level of the home includes four
guest bedrooms and two additional baths
along with several balconies and a
separate guest or staff suite. Cynthia's
even created a beautiful office space at
her estate as seen on Instagram.
Outside, the property boasts an outdoor
shower, a large patio, a fountain, and a
private dock on the lake. Last month,
Cynthia shared a series of photos on her
Instagram, capturing moments of
relaxation on her back deck at Lake
Bailey, also giving a glimpse of the
beautiful views both inside and outside
her home, even snapping a picture of a
flock of geese by the lake and a deer
strolling across the driveway.
Describing her home, Cynthia said, "It
just kind of really was right in sync to
where I was mentally and spiritually in
my life. I'm sitting in my bedroom now
in my artwork is the view of the lake.
It's incredible and so peaceful. For
today, that'll wrap up our look into

Bailey's homes. Thanks for watching. I'm
