Hello and welcome to a new YouTube video.
My name is Natalia and I am your German teacher.
In this video, we will practice speaking.
We will speak together for 10 minutes.
Are you excited?
In this video, you can download a PDF file with the entire script for this speaking exercise for free.
I would recommend that you download the script only after the video, so that you really have a realistic experience.
In real life, you never have a script in front of you.
You have to speak freely immediately.
You can find the link to the PDF file under the video, in the info box and in the pinned comment.
Before we start, remember to like this video.
This is your thank you for my hard work.
And of course, subscribe to my channel.
I have seen in my statistics that over 60% of my subscribers watch my videos without a subscription.
Are you one of them? Then be sure to click on the subscribe button.
So, how are we going to work today?
We are doing a speaking exercise from lesson 5 in my new A2 course.
The A2 course is coming in a few weeks.
The course is finished.
I am so looking forward to the start.
In lesson 5 in this A2 course, you will learn how to make appointments in German or cancel appointments.
I would like to practice this with you today.
I ask you questions and you answer.
The first round is very simple.
I show you the text and you just have to repeat it.
A colleague from my team also helps me here.
She will pronounce your text for you so that you know exactly how the intonation and pronunciation should be.
So listen carefully and repeat after my colleague.
Pay special attention to the order of the sentences.
All right? Let's go!
I want to play tennis on the weekend.
Would you like to come along?
Tennis sounds great. I'd love to come along.
When should we meet?
I wanted to go on Sunday at 9 o'clock. Is that okay for you?
No, 9 o'clock is too early for me. Could you also meet at 11 o'clock?
Okay, then we'll meet at 11 o'clock.
Should we meet directly at the tennis club?
Where is the tennis club? I don't know the address.
The tennis club is in Gartenweg.
Or would you rather meet me at the bus stop?
The bus stop Parkstrasse is right nearby.
I know the bus stop. That suits me well.
Great! Then we'll meet on Sunday at 11 o'clock at the bus stop Parkstrasse.
Exactly.
Okay, see you on Sunday. I'm looking forward to it. Bye!
See you on Sunday.
Well, did you like the exercise?
The first round was pretty easy.
But we had a dialogue.
And that's really great.
So step by step you practice your speaking.
If you also want to work on your grammar,
then you can also download my cheat sheet for German grammar for free.
In this cheat sheet I explain the most important grammar topics at all levels, from A1 to C1.
You can find the link to the cheat sheet where?
Of course in the info box.
And we move on to the second round.
In this round it will be a little more difficult.
The dialogue is the same.
But you have to put your sentences in the right order.
Are you ready? Then let's go!
I want to play tennis on the weekend.
Would you like to come with me?
Here you see the three answer sentences.
Remember our dialogue just now and put it in the right order.
Which sentence comes first?
Which as second?
And as third?
Now it's your turn.
Well, did you do it?
What is the right solution?
The right solution is ...
Tennis sounds great.
I like to come with you.
When should we meet?
I wanted to go at 9 o'clock on Sunday.
Does that suit you?
Now remember the right order again and read the sentences out loud.
So, the solution is ...
No, 9 o'clock is too early for me.
Could you also meet at 11 o'clock?
Let's move on.
Okay, then we'll meet at 11 o'clock.
Should we meet right at the tennis club?
Remember our first dialogue.
How was the order of these two sentences?
Where is the tennis club?
I don't know the address.
Or would you rather meet me at the bus stop?
The bus stop Parkstrasse is right nearby.
Decide on the right order and read the sentences out loud.
I know the bus stop.
That suits me well.
Great!
So we'll meet on Sunday at 11 o'clock at the bus stop Parkstrasse.
Exactly.
Okay.
See you on Sunday.
I'm looking forward to it.
See you on Sunday.
So, how did the second round go?
Were you able to put all the sentences in the right order?
Did you enjoy the exercise?
Be sure to write it in the comments.
I'm very curious.
I don't think I've ever done such an exercise with you before.
With you here on my YouTube channel.
But these voice exercises are iconic.
I have a lot of these voice exercises in my intensive courses.
This way we can train all skills.
This is very important to me.
I studied German as a foreign language.
And my professor always said
that you can't train or learn a language without these four skills.
You absolutely have to practice all four skills.
We also do that in my intensive courses.
So we always practice reading, speaking, listening and writing.
In the last, in the third round, we speak fluently together.
I will only show you your text and nothing else.
You no longer hear the voice of my colleagues.
You only hear my part and answer directly.
Let's go.
