Prince Xuan of Wei was a notorious and foolish ruler in Chinese history. Before ascending the throne, he had an illicit relationship with his stepmother, Yijiang. After becoming the king, he established Ji as the crown prince. When Ji grew up, Duke Xuan of Wei arranged for him to marry Xuan Jiang, a woman from the State of Qi.
