【Wabi Sabi】|The Zen Beauty of Ruriko-in Temple (subtitles ver.)
🎯Wabi-Sabi Visual Poetry – Subtitles Only Version
We deliver the core of wabi-sabi through visuals and subtitles.
When you have some time, I’d be happy if you could watch it at 1.0x speed
and let it bring you a sense of calm.
Listen to the silence.
Feel the beauty of impermanence.
A meditative journey through light and shadow at Rurikō-in,
where the sway of green maple invites quiet introspection.
A quiet celebration of wabi-sabi and the afterglow it leaves behind.
This is Rurikō-in (Temple of Lapis Lazuli Light),
located in the northern part of Kyoto.
I visited about a week ago, at the end of April.
Rain was falling as I stood at the gate,
but when I went to view the green maple reflections,
the rain cleared and the sun appeared.
It may have been perfect timing.
Currently, the temple is open to visitors on a limited schedule
during spring, summer, and autumn seasons.
(Please check our website for detailed information)
I highly encourage you to experience this in person.
